DEAR GOD: I Exalt You~

God's Rainbow

The heavens declare the glory of God;

and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

(Psalm 19:1 KJV)

What is important to God?

There are a great many answers you can apply to this particular question.

Which would come to your mind?

Does “Love, trust, honor, obedience, and glorifying Him” quickly form in your mind?  These are crucial and of vital importance to our heavenly Father.

From the Bible, we understand that all of nature declares the glory of God letting us absorb  the chief aim of man is to glorify the Lord.   Realize also that Jesus’ mission on earth revealed God’s glory over and over again. So we know that what matters to God is His glory.

For all we do and all we’re destined to do should be done while giving God the glory always and forever.  Prayer, supplication and honoring God are three key elements along with loving and trusting Him to take care of all our needs.

God provides even when we don’t know what is is we need.  (But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19)

God will lift up our heads and protect us…He is our shield. (But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.  Psalm 3:3 )

God will guide our path and bring restoration and peace to our souls when we follow Him and His holy word with unwavering determination, and trust in Him fully. (Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not onto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes:  fear the Lord and keep from evil. It shall be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones. Proverbs 3:5-8)

Spirit verses the Flesh~

When we fully invest our spirit to emulate the Spirit of Christ which dwells within, we then begin to start a process of validation in terms of our faith thereby nurturing our relationship with God.

When we empower our spirit (through Jesus Christ) to say no to our flesh, we’re asserting spiritual dominion and letting our flesh know that God is in control. It’s a process much like exercising our muscle…at first it’s hard but eventually we’ll be in shape.  So too is Spiritual exercise…it will get easier and easier as we  keep pressing into God’s power for help and a breakthrough.

LET GOD SPEAK.

LISTEN AND HEAR HIS VOICE.

We all know certain people who will dominate a conversation and not let us get a word in edgewise.

Now think of how that makes you feel.

Kind of left out and not really important enough to be a part of the dialogue huh?

Well…that’s what it’s like to our amazing Father.  If we just pray and say what we need to say, and center the whole encounter around “ourselves” without listening to God it can be detrimental to our spiritual awareness.  Listen to Him. Think of the dialogue with God as a two way street. Listen…just as much as you speak…and then pause to hear His response.  That takes practice and determination and heartfelt compassion and respect for our Father.  (Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10)

Listen…

Wait…

Trust…

Love, honor and glorify Him, always and forever.

It’ll be health to your navel and marrow for your bones…that’s His promise. Amen~
