Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV)

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God, and keep his commandments:

for this is the whole duty of man.

In the heart of every believer comes love for the LORD.  The heart is what the LORD sees while man/woman see only the “outside” of the person.

The LORD searches out the hearts of His children.

The process of spiritual growth comes from discipline, patience ,and a firm belief in His Word.  Faith, and persistence in seeking His face, while keeping eyes on His kingdom, is consistent with spiritual growth.

When deep within a valley one can either sink lower, doubting the power of God.  Or, be a soldier in the LORD.   A true over-comer will process the circumstances while placing trust in the LORD and His promises.

The LORD will lead us and go before us and will never forsake us.  His promises are potent and still vitally important today as since the beginning of time…and still true!

As with each tribulation and trial comes spiritual growth…we can ask the LORD to speak to our heart…which is what He alone can see…and look for wisdom and an understanding for an explanation of why it happened.

Sometimes we’ll never understand why.  Ostensibly, there will be times we can see clearly and experience beauty for ashes immediately upon our ascent out of the dark.

God remains a Divine mystery…open to us twenty-four hours a day…and along the way we gain understanding, should we ask Him for it…and pray about it.

Give Him thanks for all things.

Love Him with all your heart, soul and mind.

Write His commandments upon your heart, so that you will not sin against Him.

Then…be diligent in your quest to follow Him…through good times and bad.

Remember, He knows your heart and loves you more than anyone else possibly can.

When we listen, love, wait, trust and put our faith totally in His hands…the infinite joy and rewards will be forthcoming.

Do you love Him enough to speak with Him daily?

Open your heart to Him and watch what happens.

Amen~

14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

14:1  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
14:2  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
John 14:4  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
John 14:5  Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
John 14:8  Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
John 14:9  Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
John 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
John 14:11  Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
John 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 14:13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments

DEAR GOD: Take my Hand in Love~

jesus-holding-your-hand

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,

from whence cometh my help.

Psalm 121:1

All help comes from above and from within.  The LORD sees all from His holy habitation on His throne and thus helps according to the needs of His children.  And, the Holy Spirit—which dwells within  for those who believe—will guide, lead and bring us through all things pertaining to our lives here on earth.

David in many of the Psalms was running from trouble, and fighting to stay alive.  Saul wanted Him dead.  His own son Absalom at one point in time, sought to take over His father’s throne.

But David never faltered in His faith. He looked to the LORD for answers, for protection…and for guidance.  His love for the LORD was steadfast.  He had a heart for GOD and the LORD knew it.

He did some things he wasn’t proud of, like placing Bathsheba’s husband on the front lines, basically planning his death.  But, he repented, and walked in the path of God’s will, always with a heart for God.

He trusted the LORD and surrendered to His will.  He also knew God’s hand was upon Him as we see in this Psalm 121.  You can hear His voice and feel the love for God as we read through it.

We need to have a heart for GOD like David.  We need to learn and heed the warnings of the voice of GOD in the Bible.

When we ask for “wisdom” to open eyes and ears, the Bible will unfold to us, and it will become easy to understand.  It’s not complicated…for the LORD will open the truth to those who wish to learn the truth.

The LORD’s Word will open like a delicate rose.  The bud is small but with care and patience…at which time it grows and grows, until eventually…the flower’s petals open completely.

Such is the Word of the LORD.  Let the words flow over the buds of your mind.  Let it grow and and grow…ask God for His guidance and help in all you do.  He will take care of the “growth” of the flowers in your mind.

God is good all the time!

All the time God is good!

Praise His holy name!

Amen~

(A Song of degrees.)

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

DEAR GOD: Waiting & Learning~

psalm-4610-300x194

Be still, and know that I am God:

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalm 46:10

Sometimes we need to do nothing in order to gain something.

Let me repeat that again.

Sometimes, we need to do nothing in order to gain something.

Think about that for a moment in terms of spirituality.

God is a patient and loving Father and He demonstrates that in so many ways.

He listens to us. He guides us. And always there ready to help and protect us.

We run to Him and pray, especially when we’re in need of something. That can fall under many categories, such as: intercessory prayer; personal prayer; or just in need of company and a confidant with great listening skills.

Yes, our Father is all that and more.

But…do we ever take the time to glorify Him?

Or give Him thanks?

And after giving Him thanks..then complete our worship and praise with “waiting?”  Or just “listening for Him?”

Waiting… and patience in waiting is an art and clearly a virtue of the Spirit.

When we recognize that our Father is the key to opening doors, and understand He is the light that shines through the darkness, or a window, that’s when we will develop the discipline to “wait” for Him. That’s when growth in faith begins to bloom.

God rewards those in attendance to His presence and those in obedience to His Word…and especially those who devote their lives to waiting upon Him.

We need to grasp the full meaning of waiting and knowing He is God. ..that we are in His glorious hands.

We are employed in not making an effort, or putting forth exertion; or more exact… leaving matters with God. And/or being without anxiety about the issue or issues we are currently facing.

In Exodus 14:13, “Stand still, and see the salvation of God“— In this verse the meaning expressed is obviously one of tranquility.

A powerful calm and confiding closeness along with a trustful state of mind is present as Moses experiences the divine presence and power of our God.

We  sense and understand that God had interposed, and had shown that He was able to defend His people when surrounded by dangers.

When Moses said unto the people—Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever—  We must remember God is the same today as He was yesterday.

God hasn’t changed…time has gone by…but God is the same…and continues to care for His children in the very same way.

So throughout the ages, God has performed miracles, overcame opposition, and withstood the hands of time.

He is the author of peace and salvation.

We are not to fear the world.

We are to trust in Him…and wait upon Him.

Because, Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”  1 John 4:4

When you read, and listen, and hear His Word, it’ll become easier to sit and “wait” thereby fully grasping overwhelming joy in realizing His infinite power, and His consuming fire of love.

Close your eyes…give Him thanks…and wait…

Then watch and see what God does!

Amen~

Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

Psalm 100:3

DEAR GOD: Your Voice Through Your Children~

godslove

Nothing is coincidental when it comes to the LORD.  All things are moved by Him and for His purpose…especially when He wants to answer prayers.

God, our loving and powerful Father never ceases to astound me…with each day comes another blessing or significant sign of His Omnipotence.

The season is upon us that allows most who don’t practice generosity during the regular year to be more tolerant of others.  At least that is the general idea.

During this season of love toward one another, take the time to watch for signs of God’s presence and open ears to His voice.

Today I was blessed to “hear His voice” through an elderly lady who walked over to my car as I sat waiting for my husband.

We brought some items to our local food pantry, just random items.  As my husband went into the store I said, “Something tells me in addition to the random items, let’s buy eggs…and bread too”  and he smiled and said, “okay.”

When my husband brought the bags into the local pantry the volunteer worker yelled out to a lady across the room, “Mary, eggs!  Here’s the eggs you asked for…and the bread you needed!”

She was so happy as she came forward to grab the eggs and bread.   Guess who placed that in my ear and heart?  Holy Spirit…who knew this lady was in need of eggs and bread for a holiday recipe she had as a young girl. She was so overjoyed, praise the LORD!

Also…the turkey we brought in…the volunteer called out to an elderly fragile looking woman who was about to walk out of the pantry.

“Mrs. Johnson!  Here’s your turkey!”  Mrs. Johnson began crying, “Oh my God…thank you! I was so afraid it was too late for a turkey for Thanksgiving.  And, here it is!  Oh Thank you!”

My husband was standing off to the side taking in the wonderful joy of seeing these our “brothers and sisters” come forward.  He was brought to tears in the shadows, he knew it was God who touched His heart…but also knew it was God who brought the exact items needed for His children.

God knows what we are in need of…and will provide.  He is Jehovah Jireh…God provides!

He is our light of love. He is our strength.  He is the One who nourishes and gives and gives.

We can never out give God!

And now back to the “voice of God.”

An elderly lady walked over to my car window and said:

“I just wanted to thank you.  We hardly ever see who drops off the food…I noticed you way over here and saw your husband bringing in the food and wanted to say, thank you!  If not for people like you we wouldn’t be eating or able to shop for these free items…so thank you…Happy Thanksgiving.”

When she walked away I knew it was God who thanked me!  It was His voice through this older lady!

Tears strolled down my cheeks…I praised His name and thanked Him for blessing me with His voice.

I immediately thought of Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:35

For I was hungry, and you gave me food: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me…

Jesus wants us to clothe, feed and help those in need.  When we do we’re helping Him.  When we ignore those in need…we’re ignoring Him.

Not all people are able to “help” with donations.  However, there are other ways to please our Father, like showing love, peace and kindness to a stranger.

Or listening or hugging someone who is lonely is an example of His love as well.

So, at this time of the year…I  would encourage you all to listen, watch, and provide help where you can, when you can.

Be inspired by God and His Word— be guided by His love and His voice.

You’d be pleasantly surprised as to how many times He speaks to us…Just listen and then get ready to be amazed!

“Father God, thank You for Your word, Your guidance, Your love, and for leading us and guiding us to do Your will and be a vessel for Your purpose, it is an honor to be Your servant, shine Your light Lord to those in need, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;

I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Matthew 25:35-40

DEAR GOD: Lead, Touch, Heal & Guide Us~

prayer

 Psalms 103:1-4 ( NKJV)

Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! {2} Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: {3} Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, {4} Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies…

The Father is a loving and fair God who wants to have us with Him always. He in and through His promises will forgive and heal us spiritually, and at times, physically.

He will always lead and guide us.

Talking with Him heart to heart is a distinct honor and gift that has been given to us.  When His Son died for us, and we were redeemed by His blood…His sacrifice “rent the veil from top to bottom” allowing us to go boldly to His throne.

We can speak with Him directly, and be assured that He will hear us.

The moments alone with our Father is so overwhelmingly peaceful and powerful that at times sobs overcome me as the presence of the LORD touches my soul.

Praying for his guidance as He leads us through good times and bad is to be in an elevated place of spiritual awareness.

His love and His promises envelop us…it is a given…and the growth of spirituality is amazing in all aspects, some of which are hard to describe unless you experience it.

Talk to Him.

Embrace Him.

Get to know Him.

Open His book…and begin to listen to His voice, and let His promises wash you clean with His love.

Amen!

Deuteronomy 32:39 (NKJV)

‘Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.

2 Chronicles 7:14( NKJV)

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

DEAR GOD: Merely “Thanks” for You~

agapelove

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:1 KJV

Waking up this morning. Praise God.

Being in His perfect will.  Praise God.

Feeling His perfect peace. Praise God.

Having family.  Praise God.

Having friends.  Praise God.

Being part of a great royal family in Christ!

PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!

So many things to be thankful for.  In all that we encounter along life’s highway, it’s so imperative that we give thanks to the One who has made it possible.

Have you ever just sat and praised Him in prayer and mediation without asking anything in return?  It’s rewarding and supersedes all else, the connection is overwhelming and positively divine!

He is so loyal and steadfast in relation to all things in heaven and earth, and an awesome and loving Father.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Let us go forward with a contrite heart and worship Him as we do His will and bidding while giving Him the glory and victory.

Through Him we are victorious, and no matter what happens in this world, remember…have no fear and be of good cheer, for our Lord goes before us.

Most important, “He has overcome the world….and greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world…Amen!”

DEAR GOD: O’Lord Your Word is Sweet~

sweet

And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

Revelation 10:9

As we meditate on God’s word it begins to enlighten our path with prosperity and success, and most of all…peace.

Think about the class of animals known as “ruminating animals.  They have four compartments which are called the “rumen.” Such animals consist of deer, camels, buffalo, goats, sheep and giraffees, they chew their food twice.

The first time they chew, it’s just enough to moisten the food so that it can be moved to the rumen, and then mixed with digestive juices to further soften their food.

This process is called the “cud” which allow the muscles in the rumen to move the cud back into the animals mouths to be chewed a second time.  Eventually it goes a third time, and finally, a fourth time, designed to give these animals every single nutrient available to their growth and health.

To say “chew your cud” as a figure of speech is to say, “Meditate.”

Sometimes as we study the Word of God, we don’t get the entire meaning  spiritually speaking.  We take  in his Word, our daily bread, and in order to receive he entire process or meaning, we have to meditate on the Word to get the full benefit.

We are being fed…but need to return to the Word in order to process it fully, and experience  spiritual growth and well-being behind His Word.  Much like the “ruminating” animals, who need to process the nutrients in order to get the full benefits of their food…we too need to process His mighty, and powerful Word, over and over, to bring forth the spring of wellness designed for our health, prosperity, peace…and life overall. Something we need in order to thrive and live in this world today.

This scripture comes to mind pertaining to meditating on the LORD’s Word:

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalms 1:2-3 KJV

The LORD’s Word is a powerful tool and a guiding force that brings a multitude of benefits to those who participate and follow it with diligence and loyalty.

Those who meditate on the Word will bring forth fruit for the LORD, thereby bringing blessings to those around us, and blessings to those who are producing the fruit.  Plus we become tools for the LORD as it brings Him the victory and the glory.

We need to glorify the LORD in all we do.

His Word is sweet to the soul and balm to our spirit.  He is a constant source of living water that refreshes and washes us clean with His love and promises…contained in His very Word.

The ungodly  don’t make it to the promised land.  This is not to say we’re better, or holier that those sinners we come into contact with.  We’re all sinners saved by His grace.  We’re here to help others find salvation.

Meditating on God’s Word brings wisdom and understanding, more so than instruction of man or woman.  In God we trust. In God we place our humble and most sincere supplication.

We are up against strong opposition when we teach God’s Word, and certainly at times, we will not win a popularity contest.  That’s not what this is about.  It’s about salvation, peace, and love…and clarity of who God is.

Exercise your spirituality by meditating on His Word and bringing forth the truth, through action, though compassion, and through love.  Keep from worldly evil and proliferate the Word outwardly and inwardly.

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: fo in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

1 Timothy 4:12-13 KJV

We hear seducing spirits and the doctrine of evil in the world today,  and a lot of times from the pulpits!

Be aware!

And, how are we kept aware and protected from the wiles of the evil one? By being well versed in the Word.

By clothing ourselves in the full gospel armor…so as not to be deceived or taken in by false ones.

There is nothing sweeter than the Word.

Next time you feel the urge to eat something sweet, may I suggest opening the Bible?

Your spiritual growth will increase in knowledge and your life will be prolonged by peace and love in His presence…and His promises. Amen.

DEAR GOD: Brilliant Light~

light

John 12:46 – I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

“Shine Your Light Lord.  Shine Your Light.

Deliver us from evil O’ Lord our Mighty Powerful Father.

Protect us under Your Wings of justice and strength.

We trust You Father and You will receive the victory no matter what the outcome is.

We will stand with You in love and obedience.

Grant us the wisdom, ability, and perseverance to continue to walk in Your glorious Light.

Keep us from darkness,  we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen.”

Count down to the election…count down to a life changing decision and the last chance to cast a “biblical and moral” vote for a “leader” of our free Country.

As I spoke with a very dear and close Christian friend of mine yesterday, we discussed the LORD and His will and our trust in Him no matter the outcome.

We discussed passages from the Bible pertaining to God’s promises, and His joy in seeing His children prosper and align to His word.  We prayed and praised Him for His Holy Word, and for all He’s done throughout the ages for His children, and continues to do so in this age.

No matter what happens tomorrow, we will be in His light. Think about the plagues the LORD brought to Pharaoh, his people and his land, however it never touched Moses or his followers.  He protected Noah and the occupants in the Ark even though waters flooded the land and those left behind.  He lead Joshua and Jeremiah against armies of hundreds of thousands.

And most important of all…Jesus Christ came and defeated death for us.  He became the propitiation for us and delivered us from evil and offered us eternal salvation to those who would believe.

His love and grace and strength and guidance and power will bring us through this turbulent time.  He will lead us and go before us, and His promises will envelop us and cover us with love and tenderness that only a Father can provide.

And to that we say, “Keep shining Your magnificent and loving light…and most of all, thank You…Amen and Amen.”

Titus 2:12 – Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

John 12:46 – I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Galatians 2:20 – I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 1:7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

DEAR GOD: Praise You No Matter What~

alltheglory

I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
let us exalt his name together.

Psalm 34:1-3 NLT

Non stop Praise Him!

What does this mean?

It means during the day, and evening, we praise Him in good times and bad.

Praise Him no matter what.

When we focus on Him and not on our issues, we begin to transform, and become grafted in Him, and thereby experience Spiritual growth.

The LORD declares He is there for us no matter what.  He will never leave us nor forsake us.  This is one of so many promises in His Word, and God will never let us down.

Man will let us down...God never will let us down.

At this particular time, as we face our biggest Presidential election, there’s so much at stake…and we need to keep Praising the LORD, and looking to Him for His will, and His guidance.

We need to trust Him and embrace His promises and accept His will.

As we vote, we need to vote with our conscience whereby it reflects God’s will and biblical values.

We need to embrace and seek God’s guidance and listen to His voice in our selection.

When things look bleak and beyond repair, look up to whence our help comes.

Have faith in our Father and seek His face at this time of turmoil and discourse.

Have trust in our Father and seek his face at this time of transition and defiance.

We are in the safety net of our Father, and being in the center of His will is the most peaceful and pleasant of places to be.

Man will let us down.  God never will.

So…no matter how grim the times may seem, no matter how turbulent or fiery the issues at hand, remember God is STILL IN CONTROL, and He has the final say...no matter what.

I truly believe next week, when we elect a “new President” I feel so strongly it will be the correct person ready to go forward.

How can I be so sure?  It’s simple…I know that God already made His choice, and that prayers of the righteous, and prayers of the faithful will be heard.

To that I breathe a sigh of relief, because, we are in His loving hands.

When it comes to God…I’ll always choose Him over man.

He will never leave us nor forsake us.

He will be with us always, even to the end of the world.

There are no other hands that compare to His and no safer place to be.

Hallelujah!

Praise God!

Father, we thank You and know You will protect us and guide us and lead us, now and forever, and we give You all the glory, honor and praise, forever and always, in Jesus name, Amen and Amen!

Psalm 34

KJV

34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lorddelivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

DEAR GOD: Your Love Like No Other~

jude

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39 KJV

I was moved to tears this morning while watching an old television show concerning the love of “mothers” and how they mold and shape our lives, guiding us on the right path as we near maturation, and eventually becoming adults.

I thought of my beautiful mom and the countless things she did to ensure I had a sure and fine foundation, guiding me, leading me, touching me along the way.  She’s gone 18 months…but she remains in my heart forever.  (As does my incredible Dad who went home 17 years earlier…who was the perfect counterpart to my mother…they made a fine pair and were the epitome of what marriage is to me.)

Mom and Dad were fine examples of love in all they did in their earthly roles, providing and tending to my needs, while instilling a core value of morals and scruples in me and my siblings.  They followed a code of ethics from their deep roots in Christianity that was given to them by their parents, from generation to generation, all embedded in faith.

Which brings me to our majestic and glorious Father.

He is love, and He made and created us in love.  He brought forth His love and gave it willingly, without any just cause…other than to be with us in love and unity.

A conformity in which infinite and indescribable eons of tranquility and everlasting joy encompass us.

Jesus came to fulfill the scriptures and came to defeat death and to bring eternal salvation.  He went to the cross willingly and purposely for our sake.  He without sin became sin for us…and by His stripes we were/are healed.

His joy abounds in us, and bubbles freely from our being as living waters spring forth in our souls.

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid...” John 14:25-28 KJV

The very word, coming from the Living Word that became flesh, and walked among us…How can be not be jumping for joy to realize the full meaning of His life affirming promise?

Accept His promises…embrace them…and put our Father in remembrance of them.  Not that He needs any reminders, He is the author of the Word… but He does instruct us in Isaiah 43:26  to test us in our awareness, and dedication toward Him.  He wants to see if we accept and place His promises and commandments in our hearts.

We have no reason to just take for granted our pardon. Instead, we seek it by faith in Christ.  And that is perpetrated by true repentance, along with newness of Life, and hatred of sin…finally by our love to God.

Let us then put Him in remembrance of the promises he has made to the penitent, and be ever thankful for the love of Jesus, His Son, who allowed it to be possible by covering us with His blood.

Love Him.

Follow Him.

Adore Him.

Praise Him.

Worship Him.

Our Lord has been with us since before our first breath, and has been an amazing presence in our life since, even if we’re not aware.

His voice calls to us.

Answer it…open the door of your heart…and begin to experience the greatest most significant LOVE that you’ve ever had prior or since.

Thank you LORD for your precious and life affirming love.

Without You, O’ Lord my God, we are nothing.

With You…we are everything…because You love us.

Amen~
