Dear God: You Are My True Happiness~

People may deceive themselves into believing they’re truly happy, often associating happiness with personal wealth.  Some might believe that materialistic gains is the key to power and satisfaction.  It might become an obessession of sorts…or a goal to erect and obtain great wealth.  They could be laboring under a misapprehension in embracing this goal, which subsequently can become a  wheel of deceit.

For example, they might not be happy unless they amass great wealth, (and there is nothing wrong with being successful if God blessed you with it ) but inherently, they may still be unhappy because they didn’t acheive more.  Thus, the “wheel of deceit” and self defeat in terms of “spiritual” gains, or lack thereof.

There is a name that means prosperity, and God Himself used it in Deuteronomy– The name was “Jeshurun.” The Hebrew prime of Jeshurun, means “prosperous.”   The people were “happy yet ignorant” of God’s divine plan, or turned from His salvation, if you will.

“But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thcik, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook GOD which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.”  (Deuteronomy 32:13)

They deceived themselves into believing they were happy.  Throughout the Bible, most notably in the Old Testament,  people walked in their “own ways” and not in the ways of God.  In fact, so many places in the scriptures tell that exact story. When Israel prospered, they forgot all about God and His salvation. They turned to other gods and idols turning their back on the only one true Living God.

Which brings us to current times. It’s no different.  There are some who like to boast about “their successes.”   Talking vanity, saying, “look and see what I did and accomplished with my own mind and hands” giving no credence or thanks to God for their success.  However, when adversity rears it’s ugly head that’s when they bring God into the equation… they blame Him, “Why did God to this to me?”

God is a faithful and loving God. Provoking God and blaming Him for things that have gone wrong could be a dangerous road to journey down. God wants to be there for us, in fact He is…but some of us might continuously turn Him away.  Seeking artificial and temporal things of this world to fill a void of emptiness within. There is only one who can fulfill us with a powerful surge that is ever lasting and bring pure joy and happiness exponentially.

Again, there is nothing wrong with being wealthy as a result of God’s blessings. Of course, God ulimately wants to bless us in all aspects of our life. And ,by obeying Him and walking in His laws is primarily one of the pristine exapmples of such. Just don’t leave God our of your life and expect to be happy.  Jesus instructed us in the beautiful sermon on the mount as to how to embrace and find happiness.

(Matthew 5:1 – 2 ) “And seeing the multitudes. he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, His disciples came unto Him. And, he opened his mouth, and taught them saying…”

How fortunate the people sitting there hearing these beautiful words coming of of the mouth of the Master!  Can you grasp that for one moment?  Wow! What a moment in time to be passed down throughout the ages for all the generations to hear! Amen,

(Matthew 5:3)   “Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kindgom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

Blessed can be translated to “how happy” and “how happy” indeed are the  humble, for the Kingdom of Heaven is open to those who will…

(Matthew 5:5-6) “Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth, blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.”

How happy are the meek?  How happy are those who hunger and thirst for the Word of God? — for they shall be filled.  You know the famine in the end days is for the “Word of God” — and those who are faithful shall not lack but will be filled…satiated completely.

True happiness certainly can be acheived, and that would not be the kind that is associated with “wordly” possession that will rust, rot, and fade away.  No, God is referring to bulding our treasures in Heaven not on earth. When we seek first His Kingdom, all things will be added unto us.

When we please God by putting Him first, seeking Him, trusting Him, yearning for Him, and surrendering to His will…we’ll be blessed and experience the ultimate true happiness that our Father wishes for us to have…

Father how thankful we are for your Word and Your promises, we know Your plans and Your goals are to enable us to acheive true happiness and peace, all within Your loving and gentle hands, which guide, lead and touch us, praise Your Holy and precious name, Father, in Jesus name I pray… Amen.”

Dear God: I Need You Always~

 The Power of God's hand was in the hand of Jesus~
 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  (John 15:7 KJV)
========
God wants us to be better receivers.  He wants us to be fully dependent and connected to Him for all things.  Every breath we take is a “gift from God” He is our life source and the reason for all things.
========
Each valley we go through, we grab onto Him and depend on Him more and more. The weaker we are, the stronger He is.  We need to have an attitude of dependency on our God and recognize that we can’t do anything without His grace and His guidance…
 ========
We owe all to Him and we should be giving Him glory each and every single day.
========
Jesus said, “If we would abide in Him that we would bear much fruit.”
We need to give Him thanks and praise throughout the day, each and every single day.  Not just once a week, or a couple of times a week…but every day a continuation of our dependency and co-existing with Him. So our inner Spirit will begin to shine more and our ways will inherently become infused with a spiritual focus. Eventually we’ll pull away for worldly ways.
 ========
God puts the “yearning in your heart” for Him…and it is He who waters the seeds we plant, both our own and those of others.   It is He who replenishes and brings forth a harvest when we come out of the valley.  As we grow in Him spiritually and think in the spirit, we receive life everlasting and our fruit will be plentiful.
========
Being in the Word and adhering to His will is a daily way of life and joyful experience that will strengthen us anew every single time.  His blessings will pour down from Heaven.
========
“Father how grateful we are to have such a powerful and loving God as You, we thank You for all things You have done , and continue to do in our lives, We exalt You and give You all the victory, now and always, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Dear God: Our Provider of All Provisions~

TheSavior Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

I was having difficulty eating my breakfast this morning because I haven’t been feeling well lately, and quite frankly had to “force” myself to get the food down. After a couple of minutes, I started to recite some of God’s promises to encourage myself in the Word, as I always try to do…through both good times and bad…and found I was able to finish my meal.

God is with us through all things.  Nothing is too big, or too small for God. He is our provider for all of our provisions, and He is our defense, our light, and our “go-to” for whatever it is we’re facing in our lives.

To speak His words and promises aloud is giving affirmation and confirmation that we stand on His word…and we embrace His “voice.”  God said, “My Word will not return to me void” — so bear that in mind as we speak His word.  God spoke, and things were done….He spoke and there was Light. He spoke and therein all things were created.

When we speak the word, or “sing” the Word…it’s powerful.  It’s being recorded, it’s being sanctified within God’s presence.  Be strong, no matter the adversity in your life, and accept God’s wisdom and promises as your own.  Never lose faith and always know He is our defense and goes before us…and He will never leave us or forsake us. Trust Him fully and completely…

The light will block the darkness…but you have to be willing to “let it in…”

“And, Father God, thank You for Your promises, Your love and Your ability to heal, love,  and protect us…while providing all provisions necessary for Your children…in Jesus name, Amen.”

Dear God: We’re Children of God–Wow!~

As the Father loved Me I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9

As the Father loved Me I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9

Think about it for a long moment…pause and think about it if you will, “We’re children of the One true Living God” — Wow!  We are “children” of God.

Sometimes I need to catch my breath at the thought of this overpowering statement, we’re His and He’s ours!  Abba Father…our loving “Daddy.”

His word and His promises in the Bible are the ultimate balm and reassurance to our very souls.  To know He loves us and will never leave us or forsake us.  To know He is with us always, and to know the Holy Spirit guides us, leads us, and touches us through all things, each and everyday now and always.

To accept and embrace His word and His love is like a “rush” of peace that overloads your body with tranquility and encompassing love.  He guides and watches us daily and never sleeps…we are the “apple of His eye” and woe to those who try to “hurt” His children.

He will always show us a way out and will never give us more than we can handle. He is wise, compassionate and sees the plans ahead for us…embrace His promise:

1 Corinthians 10:13, NKJV. “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

He loves us and wants us to prosper and be healthy, He wants to heal us..  He listens to prayers of His children, and His ears are on the righteous…embrace His promise:

Psalms 103:2-3, NKJV. “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”

He will handle those who try to bring us down and He is ever faithful and watchful for us and the generations to come…embrace His promise:

Isaiah 49:25, NKJV. “For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.”

God wants to reward us, He wants us to remember His promises, as He states in Isaiah to put Him in remembrance of the promises and continue to walk according to His ways.

So God, wanting to ensure that His promises are received allows His children of their own free will. He blesses us, so that we can qualify to receive the promises on the basis of His grace.  We had better be glad He does it this way, or we could never be co-inheritors of what Abraham was promised way back in the days of old.

God is the same today as He was yesterday, as He will be tomorrow and forever. He is still in full control and He still offers the same richly rewarding and indelible promises He offered way back then.

He is the proud and happy Father who created us and wants us to be a part of His eternal Kingdom.  The choice to follow Him and embrace His promises seems like a “no brainer” and yet some walk in the darkness…it’s for those we should pray, and to those who know Him…Hallelujah!

Next time you look into the mirror and see the image staring back at you, rejoice and shout:   “Hallelujah! I’m the child of the One and only Living God!  I’m royalty!  Amen, and thank you Father…”

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Matthew 11:28-29

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

Dear God: Faith, Love & Inspiration~

God's Word is A Lamp unto my feet~088_sideMA29098401-0006Jesus our Shepherd

When life has dealt a stack of cards laden with liabilities, and situational valleys of  despair which seem insurmountable, it would behoove us to stay on the narrow path of righteousness, and stay in the light.

When the blows keep coming rapidly at us, one after the other, or times appear overwhelmingly difficult, praise His glorious name through it all, and believe and realize  He is with you always.

The faith-filled followers, who labor and serve our Father, are going to be able to pull through with Him in their corner, no matter what. Even if the “giant” in our lives is suffocating our senses and numbing our vision in the word…that’s when it’s of prime importance to continue steadfast in the promises of God.

Pour on the “truth” continue to be bold in the furtherance of His Doctrine and apply the Gospel to those who might otherwise not be aware of what He is all about. For if we only share the “good news” when we are of ” good times” what significance will that be for those who aren’t acquainted with His word, or His love?  We must clearly define and provide a way to show how “rooted” we are in our belief and His promises.

Set an example in all aspects of our lives giving Him all the glory, and in Christ we will have the victory, through His grace, and His omnipotence…always.

Feed the truth, feed the people the Word of God— not by “pushing” or “preaching”— but by gentle guidance, and forebearance in temperament, and tone, whereby granting the buds of their “mind” to open up to the beauty of the Word.  God will grant us the wisdom through His grace, to “lead, guide and touch” as we go forward in His commandments and Doctrine of faith, in Jesus Christ’ name.

When we give praise and glory to God in good times and bad, and sing His praises without ceasing, irrespective of our circumstances, it provides a powerful confirmation and affirmation to both those of faith, and those who are “babes” in the Word, and those who have never been introduced to God.

His Word, His truth, His love…all consuming, all powerful, and the epitome of His Holy provision of magnificent inner peace.  What an honor to be a child of the only living God and be a vessel and witness to His Word… Amen.

Praise God and Hallelujah..

1 Timothy 4:10-13 (KJV)

10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

11 These things command and teach.

12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine

1 Timothy 4:16 (KJV)

16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Dear God: Love As You Instructed~

Jesusandchildjesuschildren999

In John 15:12…Jesus said, “love one another as I’ve loved you” — He didn’t say “try” and he didn’t say “maybe” it was a commandement.   He said, “love one another as I’ve loved you.”  It was from His heart to ours.

We should love our neighbor as we love ourselves.  If we don’t love ourselves…which God hath created, it’s akin to denying God’s perfection as He created us…and that which He does is always perfect.  There is no room for error in our great Sovereign God.

It can be difficult at best to pray for those who may not be “loveable” or those who have emnity against us…but it is not for us to judge, nor speculate…Jesus said to pray for our enemies…this is the true form of being a Christian and following His doctrine and commandments.

He is love…He is good…He is kind…He is compassionate…He is grace…

Want to please Him? Follow His example and embrace His doctrine and commandments.  The threshold of love will be heightened to levels in which we can’t imagine as we keep our eyes on God and listen to His voice…”The Word…”

Matthew 22:36-40  (KJV)

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Dear God: I Love You Too~

 agapelove

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”   (John 15:10)

Love, the greatest gift to man.  How great then is  the love from God for His children? To have given us His only begotten Son.  He sacrificed His Son and  Jesus paid the price, who then sacrificed it all for us.  Jesus willingly kept His Father’s commandment to fulfill the scriptures.  And, this was all about LOVE…

Love…there are so many kinds of love.  We love our spouse/significant other, we love our children, we love our pets, house, car…even say, “Oh, I love chocolate.”   But the deepest truest beyond all human comprehension is the LOVE the Father has for us.  Agape, pure, fulfilling, unconditional and never ending.

How God must have hurt that day watching His Son being scourged, spat upon and crucified in the most violent and reprehensible fashion.  His arms pulled from their sockets hanging on the cross.   And, Jesus…the pain and indignities that was thrust upon Him.   Yet, the Father did it for us…and Jesus did it for us…to save us and defeat death, and offer us eternal  salvation.  That is Agape Love.

Have you told your Father how much you love Him today?  Take a moment, and lift up your praise and thanks, I promise, that will make His day.

“Thank You Father God, thank You for Jesus and for loving us enough to care way back then, and now…and always.”

John 3:16

King James 2000

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
