Running Into His Refuge
by C D SWANSON

Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”

🌿 Commentary

There are moments in life when walking toward God doesn’t feel like enough — when the weight on our shoulders pushes us to run into His presence with everything we have left. Proverbs 18:10 reminds us that the Lord is not distant, not hidden, not unreachable. He is a strong tower — unshakable, immovable, and eternally open to those who seek Him.

When we run to Him, we are not running in fear but running toward safety, toward truth, toward the One who knows our name and understands our heart. The world may shake, circumstances may overwhelm, and our strength may falter, but His tower never crumbles. His name is our shelter. His presence is our protection. His love is our refuge.

No matter how tired we are, no matter how many times we’ve stumbled, no matter how far we’ve wandered — the moment we turn toward Him, He receives us. Running to the LORD is not a sign of weakness; it is the greatest act of faith. It is choosing Him above the noise, above the fear, above the uncertainty. It is choosing safety over chaos, truth over confusion, and hope over despair.

🙏 Prayer

“LORD, when my heart is overwhelmed, teach me to run to You first. Be my tower, my refuge, and my strength. Draw me into Your presence with confidence, knowing that in You I am safe, protected, and deeply loved. Help me trust Your name, Your power, and Your promises. Let every step I take lead me closer to You. In Jesus name, Amen.”
