DEAR GOD: Your Light & Presence~

1John

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”  John 14:6

So many people are having a rough time these days. It seems that no matter who I speak with, family, friends…acquaintances…they’re facing severe trials and tribulations.

And the state of the world affairs is abysmal.  In the USA there is a political uprising that is none as we’ve seen before…a brutal campaign and riots in the street.

However…through this all. His presence is a constant comfort.  His light is a beacon shining into the darkness.

The LORD is our Light, an illumination of peace.

His peace and His love provide to those in need.

His peace, love and promises provide to those who are hurting.

His Word will bring us through the storm as will His sovereign and divine intervention on our behalf.

He is be the living water washing away our thirst.

So to those suffering or going through a terrific time of agony. Whether it’s illness, uncertainty about a diagnosis, issues within a family/marriage, or worrying about friends and loves ones who are in a dark place.  Remember the LIGHT who will chase the Darkness away.

To embrace His love and surrender to His provisions of caring for all of our needs is to live free.

He never promised we’d be free from trials, but He did promise to bring us through every single one of them.  And each time we come through the fiery trials, we will be refined and brought to a higher ground.

Darkness?  Open your heart and let Him in…and then watch the glorious divine Light bring you out of the darkness and into LIFE.

DEAR GOD: GLORY & HONOR TO YOU ALONE~

alltheglory
And we know that all things
work together
for good to them
that love God,
to them who are then called
according
to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 KJV
In the Bible so many of God’s people proved without a doubt that adversity and trials refined them to a higher level with the LORD. Paul, David and Daniel showed that adversity helped form spiritual giants.
***
They recognized and trusted our Sovereign God as the gatekeeper of their lives and accepted their journey willingly, according to God’s plans.
***
When we surrender and bow to the LORD as the Master, and accept Him as the mainstay of our lives,  then whatever comes our way is a chance to mature in our relationship and growth with the LORD.
***
We’re able to accept His will and realize that whatever happens within our scope of being means that He is working it for good.
***
Understanding and living by the Spirit, our comforter and life’s breath, we can readily discern the “false” tongue of men and their “false doctrine” — we are then able to quickly dart the arrows and sidestep the hurdles thrust in our path.  But, we do this through the grace of God who is a steady force and consuming fire of passion for His children.
***
Accepting Him as the Creator or all things to all things and for all things is to make Him proud as we continue to do His work.  While we aspire to do things His way and according to His will, we must be careful to give Him all the glory and honor at all times, no matter what.
***
As we continue on our path, the narrow path of righteousness, we do so in victory which we can accomplish only through the Lord Jesus Christ.
***
Next time there’s a hurdle in your path, look up and give thanks, and then wait to see how your spiritual maturity will rise to a whole new level…
***
Father God, thank You for Your hands of grace, Your wisdom, and Your guidance and direction in our lives, Please continue to hold us up with Your righteous right hand, in Jesus name, Amen.
***

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Ephesians 4:14-17 KJV

DEAR GOD: Thanks For Your Hands of Grace~

gates of God

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:4  (KJV)

Thanksgiving should be in our hearts every single day. The world in which we live was created by our amazing Lord…the creator of such for all things and through which all things were made. We are who we are because of the grace and blessings that made it so…Our Lord, our Father.

The smallest things we should be grateful for, and things that don’t make sense at all to us… be grateful for. Perhaps down the road the clarity of things that don’t make sense will become bright with recognition.

There was a book about a  lady who went undercover to help the Jewish people during the Nazi regime.  She spoke of the atrocities in which the people were subjected to. The inhuman conditions and the meager portions of food given only to keep them alive to endure more of the same horrific circumstances the day after.

This woman was taken to a cell with other women and she read from her Bible, giving them hope and courage. Nightly she’d pull the Bible from her hiding place and read to the women. It became a welcome and peaceful gathering at the end of their gruesome day. There were  fleas in their cell. And, one of the ladies would say, “We need to be thankful for all our circumstances to God..Praise Him for everything, even the fleas.”  The other women said, “We should be thankful to God for fleas?  What good is fleas? That is going too far.”  But, she continued saying, “We must give thanks to the fleas. God created the fleas for a reason.”  So they thanked God for the fleas in unision. Puzzled, they listened to her, then thanked God and praised Him.

The Germans would enter into the cells throughout the night to do further horrific acts to the inhabitants. However, the soldiers never entered the cell where the woman who read her Bible was.

These women remained in that cell until they escaped.

Afterwards it was told to the ladies that the soldiers stayed away from their cell because they didn’t want the fleas to bite them.  Praise God!  So, there is a reason for everything.  He knows all, sees all, and wants the best for  His children.

So, are there  “Fleas” in your life?  If so, give thanks.  Give thanks for all things, great and small, bad and good…for the Lord our Father knows what is coming and what is best for us.  Always, in so doing He will clear all paths of destruction and pave your roads with gold…now and always.

Experience true joy in your life, know God and know peace.

Father, we give thanks to You and  Your powerful ways, We give thanks to You and Your amazing hands of grace, We give thanks to You and Your loving and enduring mercy, We give thanks to You and Your unconditional love, We give thanks to You and Your wisdom, insight, compassion, and patience.  We lift your name on high and exalt You forever.  Thank You for loving us, in Jesus name… Amen

DEAR GOD: Endless Joy & Peace~

colossians

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 15:13  ( KJV)

Walking with God hand-in-hand on the narrow path of righteousness while engaging in a spiritually intimate relationship is to know joy and peace beyond explanation.

To have faith that fulfills and sustains us while elevating us to walk above the adversities in life while undergoing trials and tribulations is to know joy and peace beyond explanation.

To speak with God and know that He is always listening while we’re scaling stormy seas and realize He is the Captain of our ship is to know joy and peace beyond explanation.

To stand face to face with a non-believer/enemy with our  powerful weapons of defense–the “Word”– our two edged sword which cuts to the quick and protects the believer while underscoring the enemy is to know joy and peace beyond explanation.

To be loved by Him is to know joy and peace beyond explanation.

To be in His perpetual care now and always is to know joy and peace beyond comprehension and explanation…

Thank you Father God, Lord of my life and Master of my soul for Your peace and joy…

Galatians 5:22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

John 16:24 – Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Romans 14:17 – For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

DEAR GOD: Help Us Be Worthy Ambassadors~

holy spiritperfectpeace088_sideMA29098401-0006

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ,

as though God did beseech you by us:

we pray you in Christ’s stead,

be ye reconciled to God.

(2Corinthians 5:20 KJV)

While watching the news about a piece on Ambassadors from the USA to Europe that explained each one had a special “message” to deliver…it put me in mind of being Ambassadors for Christ and His beautiful message found in His Word, and His ministry while on earth, which continues to this day.

When we’re reconciled to the LORD we share a meeting of minds, favorable, and acceptable by an almighty God.  Reconciliation is to change mutually, to make atonement, and to disperse as one body in Christ, and carrying the message for the One who died for us.  The ministry of reconciliation is a role in which all of us strive to bring forth His love and powerful message.

What’s the message?

That would be His overall plan to have us live with Him forever in eternal bliss in Paradise.  And, His plan to call us into “One body” to perform according to His purpose for His will and His timing, to bring forth a renewal of “character” resulting in a deeper walk and cleansing, bringing us higher unto Him.

Forgiveness is a big part of our faith.  Forgiveness is a huge part of who Christ is.  “How many times must I forgive my brother?”  To which Christ responds, “70 times 7.”  (Matthew 18:21-22)

Clothe yourself with the most powerful weapon known…

The Gospel Armour…to deliver the message as Ambassadors of God.

There isn’t a more important job anywhere in the entire world!

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Matthew 18:21-22 KJV

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:

and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28:20 KJV

DEAR GOD: YOU ARE ALWAYS NEAR~

with-jesus-in-heaven-650x433

My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.  (Isaiah 51:5)

When we trust in Him as our Savior and our King and our Sovereign LORD we are protected and in peace.  Those that wait upon Him and trust will enjoy salvation and will walk in the Light.

The souls of the “world” will eventually vanish like smoke, and their body be discarded like a worn-out garment.

But the followers of Christ who walk the narrow path and don’t act according to the “world” whose happiness is in Christ’s righteousness and salvation, will have the comfort of it while on earth and when time and days are no more.

Clouds may darken the sun, but the clouds do not stop the sun from being.

And the believers will enjoy their rewards of being in favor with the LORD and walking in his ways, while those who are revilers of Christ are in darkness here on earth, and eventually will not share in eternal bliss, but instead will perish in the lake of fire.

Trusting in the LORD and accepting His promises and His love is the essential part of being saved. Accepting Him as your Lord and Savior and welcoming Him into your heart will not only secure a place in eternity, but will give you peace while here on earth.

Thank you LORD  for Your Son taking on the sin of the world so we could be saved and cleansed by His blood and share in Eternity with You, thank You for Your sacrifices, and Your unfailing and unconditional love, I pray for those in the dark, that they might find the light and share in on the rewards of eternal bliss, I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

Isaiah 51:11 ( KJV)

DEAR GOD: Here’s My Hand LORD~

jesus-holding-your-hand

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:

because greater is He that is in you,

than he that is in the world.”

1 John 4:4 KJV

Christ and His Holy Spirit dwells in the believer.  The verse in 1 John 4:4 has always been such a powerful one for me.  It really brings such peace and joy to understand the full message in which it states.

We are children of the mighty Sovereign God!

We are children of a King!

Sometimes it truly blows me away to think that I…a mere mortal who falls short, as most of us do…belongs to royalty!

But, then not only are we heirs to a King…we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within, and this Great One is Greater than the one in the world today.

God sent us the comforter and through Christ we can harness the power to thwart any evil that comes our way.  It’s sort of like having “feathers” akin to a duckling.   The water seemingly rolls off its back and doesn’t stay on the feathers.  So too is the faithful followers who have the Holy Spirit in them, the “worldly” actions and darts will bounce and roll off of God’s children.

Our weapons of defense…(Gospel Armor) and the presence of the Holy Spirit will shield us, and lead us out of temptation and deliver us from evil.

Trust in Him.

Love Him.

Follow Him.

Let Him hold your hand and guide you.

Understand that by being a believer, and placing our entire heart in His hands, we are being cared for by Royalty of the Highest, and most purest form…and loved by a King.

Here’s my hand LORD!

“Father how thankful we are to be protected and guided by You and Your hands of grace, thank You for Your love, and for Your promises, in Jesus name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: For Your Glory We Serve~

jesus2

Whether therefore ye eat,

or drink,

or whatsoever ye do,

do all to the glory of God.”

(1 Corinthians 10:31 KJV)

Serving others is a blessing, in fact if we are followers of Christ, we are called to serve. As Jesus states in Matthew 20:28Just as the Son of man did not come to be served but to serve…and to give His life as a ransom to many.”  Giving of Himself, and helping others is a prime example and a role in which Jesus lived His ministry–to serve.  Of course, providing miracles and those witnessing His extraordinary life goes hand-in-hand with our magnificent Savior.

But, serving is truly a blessing that we’re all called to.  Helping others is honoring God, and to which we’re inherently a big part of, that is if we take on the duties of a Christian soldier.  Jesus is very clear in outlining His plan and expresses it beautifully in Matthew 25:35-40:

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

In all we do, whatever we go, we need to do it all for the Glory of God.  When we serve we are blessed. It has been said by experts that one of the biggest components of a failed relationship is “selfishness.”  Conversely, the opposite of failed relationships, is “successful” relationships…and that would be to “give of oneself” un-selfishly.  When we do so we reap rewards of “hearty” relationships.  In other words, the foundation for thriving relationships is giving of oneself in an unconditional way to promote the well being of others.  Which is what Jesus did in a much bigger and grandiose way.  But, the “lesson is  of giving and serving”  all to the Glory of God.

We’re servants and therefore ministers to God.  To serve is to minister…to minister…is to be a servant…and a servant of God is to honor Him and His doctrine while providing His will in which He purposes us to live.

God shaped us and wired us to serve.  He created us for a purpose and much of that is to serve others…as Jesus wants us to. Being Christlike is to bless others, and to bless others is to serve and to give of ourselves.  When we do, it is a blessing and God will bless us for it.  As a matter of fact our cup will run over, for we cannot out-give God…He will always top us in terms of blessings.

And serving is different for each of us.  We’re all called to serve through different gifts.  Some of us may have a ministry reaching out to others by writing, others offering an ear or godly counsel, still others by being missionaries or clergy.  Whatever it is that we’re called to do it is for God we do it.

When we do all of which we do…we must do so by giving God the victory and all the glory, always. When we do, we’ll see God on the move.  How do we know God is on the move?

When we see others serving…we know God is on the move.

When we see someone dropping to their knees…we know God is on the move.

When someone is moved and saved...we know God is on the move.

When someone is smiling at someone or encouraging someone...we know God is on the move.

God is on the move…have you moved Him lately?

DEAR GOD: We Hunger and Yearn For You~

Psalms_119-11

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD,

that I will send a famine in the land,

not a famine of bread,

nor a thirst for water,

but of hearing the words of the LORD:”

 AMOS 8:11  (KJV)

It is written that in end tmes there will be a great famine.

As those who are deep in their faith already know, the “famine” referred to in the Bible is not for sustenance in terms of actual food, but for the Word of God.

By the strong statement from God in Amos 8:11 so depicts, it will be  a sign of the times.  As in most troubled times a famine of the very Word will be difficult and hard to bear for those who long for it.

Ostensibly, to the majority of His children, there won’t be anything felt from the lack of His Word.  But, to the those who have a heart for God, and follow diligently in all their days, they will feel the famine deeply.

Some of His children will travel far and search to hear a good sermon. They will long to hear the Word of the Lord being delivered.  It is this group of Children who will yearn for His Word always.  But for those who foolishly sin away, they more than likely won’t even feel the “lack of the Word” they will be oblivious to the “changing times.”

Those who write the commandments in their hearts, Psalms 119:11…will have it with them always.

Those who know the Word will be able to see, and recognize, “false prophets” as Jesus warned us…be  aware of false prophets.

Those who have the Word sealed in their minds, heart and soul,  will be able to readily “pull from the Word” anytime of the day.

Those who know His voice will be able to “hold it up” against any false message. They will be able to meditate upon it daily…anywhere, anytime.

Let those who know the Word be blessed, and value their blessings, and gifts from God, who opened eyes, and ears.  Let us pray for those who walk in “darkness” in terms of “ignorance” of the Word.  Let us pray for a restoration, and for the LORD to bring the gift of sight and hearing leading to  awareness, and pray for a healing of our land.

Drink the water of life, feast on the Word of the LORD.

It is promised by God if you drink His water and eat His daily bread , you will Thirst and hunger no more

DEAR GOD: Wisdom & Prudence Fruits of The Spirit~

holy-spiritbible

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

  Proverbs 8:10 -17 KJV

Wisdom and Prudence go hand-in-hand. They are synonymous with one another. Truly you can’t possess wisdom without prudence.  Throughout the Bible there are continuous references to both. Wisdom and prudence are like two peas in a pod…can’t have one without the other.

In Proverbs wisdom is referred to many times, and King Solomon, the wisest of all kings speaks about it fluently in this book of comparisons.  The doctrine of God is seen and contrasted in this book so wisely stated by King Solomon–whom God gifted and therefore enabled him to share these pearls of wisdom.

This book enlists us to make wise decisions in life, which again, is a gift of the LORD.  Wisdom hates evil, God hates evil.  When we seek wisdom…we’re seeking the LORD and all that encompasses.

The LORD says in Amos 5:4 –  “For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:”   This speaks of a “spiritual death”  When we seek the LORD we are going to LIVE, as in forever.  When we do not seek and find the LORD, we are going to perish…die…spiritually.  The second death…the finality.

Wisdom and prudence will get us through everyday issues in this life…and will provide greater rewards when we’re called “home” — To listen and apply the “fruits of the Spirit” by the indwelling spirit from within, we’re going to be successful and peace will be plentiful.

Read about wisdom and God’s doctrine in His Holy Bible…it will bring a whole new perspective to your outlook and roads in life.

“Thank you LORD for Your gifts and guidance, thank You for Your love and support for Your children who follow you so judiciously, and thank You for being You… in Jesus name…Amen”
