DEAR GOD: You are Faithful & Amazing!

King James Bible  Deuteronomy 32:39
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

So valleys, trials, ups, downs…we all go through them.  But, how we get past them is not through our “own power” but because of HIS power.

This past two weeks I was in a really deep valley.  But held on by my fingernails to the Mountain.  I could see the Mountain all the time even through I was in the deepest valley…and it was “cold” at times, yet, I could feel the “warmth” from within.

I had to go to a specialist today and my husband was going to come with me…but circumstances prevailed that prevented him from doing so.  I knew at that moment that the LORD was telling me, “Have courage and be of good cheer, for you’re not alone, you’re never alone…I go before you as I did for David when he faced Goliath…”

God was telling me to trust Him and He will handle everything, as He’s done for me throughout the years, and as he’s done for ALL of His children throughout the ages since the beginning of time!

He alone is my everything.

He made me strong through my weakness.

He carried me through the trial.

He held me up through it all.

Through Him I am victorious.  And, to Him goes the victory!

Hallelujah!  Praise Him! Hallelujah!

Sometimes we need to fall into pits and valleys in order to draw closer to God…and when we surrender and call out to Him, in both good times and bad…we are gaining an introspective piece of wisdom that only comes from trusting in Him and believing in His promises and His Word.

Oh, and by the way…Praise God…everything worked out thanks to His grace, love and faithfulness!

You want to be victorious? Pick up His Word and get to know Him…feel His love and experience life like you’ve never known it before.  Because our GOD REIGNS!  Amen and Amen~

Exodus 15:26
“If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.  For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Psalm 30:2
O LORD my God, I cried out to You, and you healed me.

Psalm 103:2-3
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases.

Proverbs 3:7-8
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil.  It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.

DEAR GOD: You are a Consuming Fire~

consumingfire1

Fire is symbolic of different scenarios and events in the Bible. Fire, for example, is symbolic of the presence of the LORD. Our God is a consuming fire, and goes both ways…to warm and/or warn…and reward those who choose Him…and then… to ultimately destroy those in the lake of fire spoken of in Revelation 20:14.

Think of some of the passages where fire is mentioned, it is always significant, and always a representation of the LORD.

In Exodus 3:2–Our Father appeared to Moses from a burning bush.

In Hebrews 12:29 He is a consuming fire.

Fire is also shown as a cleaning power in Isaiah 6:6-7.

It has spiritual significance and power in Psalm 104:4.

The thing to note is that all of these passages and instances serve as a warning– or an omen.

Depending which path we choose we can feel the fire in a good way or bad.

When we walk on a road filled with obedience to His will, and His Word, we shall reap endless rewards that are pleasing to the Father.  Which will consequently bring not only rewards in this lifetime, but he one to come…Eternity.

Our Father is a loving and merciful God who wants to protect and reward us.

He is our shelter and our Rock.  When we build upon the Rock our foundation is sturdy, unmovable,  and a given existence of spiritual growth.

When we recognize Him as the main provider in all things, the trust and intimacy between Father and child proves to be impregnable against the wiles of the enemy.

Together in Christ, we are strong and victorious…through Him and Him alone.

He is the course of contentment in our life here and now.  His fire warming our souls and giving us the ability to forge forward in His name.

His mercy endures forever.

He wants us to call out to Him.  He is ever patient and loving.

He gives us free-will to choose according to His will and ways…versus the alternative route which will end up being consumed with His mighty fire at Revelation states.

The works of the faithful.

Patience and charity and love…are the clothes of the righteous.

Helping others through many avenues…be it a smile, a phone call, a kind word…or a secret offering to someone in need…are all viewed as perfect in the eyes of our Father.

He sees all.

He knows all.

He rewards according to our deeds in heart mind and soul.

Remember the next time a decision comes up, as was written in the loving Word: Don’t worry about what man thinks.  Instead worry and think about what the One will can not only destroy your flesh but kill your soul.

Jesus died for us, we’re covered by His blood of salvation.

He defeated death for us.

He is victorious.

Be victorious in this lifetime and the one to come…the eternity.

The choice is yours.

Matthew 25:33-40 KJV

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

DEAR GOD: Ups & Downs of Life Here & After~

John_14_27_Cross_Background

And Jesus said to him; “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”            LUKE 23:43  (NKJV )

Life. How would you describe it?

Paradise?  What does that mean to you?

Life–something or someone that has breath with complex functions.

Paradise–An eternal place of peace and serenity.

Both are consistent with God wouldn’t you agree?

The way I see it. Where there is life—there is GOD.  And to live is to know GOD.

Death, which Christ defeated has no place in the life of a follower, or one of devout faith.  Death has not life.  Life has not breath.

Life has breath.

Christ…the breath of life.  Remember when He breathed life into the Apostles in the upper room after His resurrection?  It was in Acts chapter 10.  The breath of life…to live is to breath and to breath is to live.

We’re all here according to His purpose and His will to work all things according to His purpose.  When we follow Him, trust in Him and invite Him into our lives, we begin to fulfill His will.  And when it is His will…it’s always the best no matter how it may appear at the time.

Remember that His will reflects a tidal wave of perfection that overrides any mere mortal’s will.  We are His creation and He knows us from the moment we were, even before we were.

This walk in life can be a long one or a short one.  We might have trials and tribulations and we might have joy.  That’s life…ups…downs…and eventually, eternity.

Promises foretold by our Father lovingly weave through the pages of His Word.  When we embrace those promises and honor Him through our actions and thoughts and love, we are clinging to the reality of their existence and therefore, to our eternal life.

Before we move on to the next journey in our lives, we have a job to do here. When we’ve completed it, we will be called home.  When we’re called home to our Father…we’re promised, in Jesus’ words, “Today you will be in Paradise with Me…”

So breath.

Live.

Love.

And…do what you’re called to while here on earth.  And remember…everything you do while here on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Choose your path, and choose it wisely. As God gives us free will.

Narrow path?  Or wide path?

Choose that narrow path and know that when our time is done on earth we’ll be on the golden path of eternal life, reaping what we sowed here on earth, and rejoicing in Paradise for evermore.  Amen~

The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.

Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.

DEAR GOD: Relentless Pursuit of Your Voice~

lamentations

My sheep hear My Voice,

and I know them,

and they follow Me.

John 10:27

****

Sometimes it’s an urgent request.

Sometimes it’s a quiet and simple one.

Sometimes it’s just an overwhelming desire to be near Him as I cry out to Him in prayer or meditation.

No matter how you slice it, dissect it, or inspect it, I love the LORD and all that He is.

I love His Voice….and love to hear Him.

My body ignites with a need to please Him and to do all that I can to listen to His voice…in silence…and in noise.

The noise…is the world.

The silence is His peace.

The world and His peace…total opposites.

They’re in constant conflict, much like the spirit and the flesh.

The flesh is “noisy…and needy…and selfish.”

The spirit is “peaceful…altruistic…and giving.”

The light is light.

The dark is dark.

Contrasts. Again, like the spirit and flesh.

When we pursue life and all it entails…on a quest for doing His purpose, the light shines, the peace reigns and the love is overwhelming.

The next time you hear “noise” and see “darkness”  — listen for His voice.  Then sit back and enjoy His presence and feel His warmth and let your spirit respond to the “Great One” that is within.

Amen.

Peace I leave you, my peace I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  John 14:27

DEAR GOD: Our Loving Teacher~

children-jesus-233

Matthew 22:36-37 (AMP)

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” And Jesus replied to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

While watching the latest movie “God is Not Dead 2” I was fascinated by a conversation between the main character and her dad.  She was confiding to her dad about not feeling God’s presence while going through a fiery trial in her life.  Her dad said, “When a teacher gives the students a test he doesn’t speak while they’re going through the test, he watches, and waits for them to finish the test.”  That really jumped out at me.

It’s so true.  Our “Teacher” and “Masterful God is always there watching, and at times, waiting for us to complete our trial, while guiding us silently through it, and eventually, carries us out with a stronger, and deeper sense of faith when the test ends. We are immerses in knowledge and an awareness we didn’t have prior to the test. We bring a new sense of being to the forefront after the test which enables us to “teach” others and proclaim God’s magnificence because of it.

Trials and adversities bring us closer to God in so many ways, but mainly, by inspiring us to trust in Him fully, and to recognize that its during these trials that we are being refined to perfection.

We are far from perfect, God knows that.  But, with each test, trial, or situation we undergo, it brings us closer to Him on a spiritual level. Our roots grow deeper in faith, as we stay on track in our obedience, and dedication, to our loving Father.

It is during these trials, that we run to Him more readily, and when we ask for His help in supplication, and yield to His will, we are showing our love and dedication to Him by our actions, which ultimately pleases our Father greatly, and our rewards will be forthcoming.

Show diligence, and ask for His wisdom, and strength, when going through issues or periods of dark moments.  When we believe in His magnificence, and His sovereign power and love, we can go through anything, because He is with us.

His light will shine through and darkness will be gone…in it’s place peace, and tranquility, and a great deal of comfort knowing we’re in His very capable and loving hands at all times. Watch for the rainbow at the end of the storm, it will always shine through.

So, the next time you’re going experiencing a hard time in your life, realize that the “Teacher” is standing nearby and will never leave His student…

Thank you O’ loving Father,  amazing Teacher, Master, and King of the Universe, for Your patience, guidance and love…all the glory honor and praise are Yours and Yours alone, forever and ever, Amen~

Psalm 1-6 (KJV)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

DEAR GOD: Moments Alone With You are Veritable Treasures~

lamentations

‘Frazzled by the days event?

Unsettled by devastating news?

Overwhelmed with work and deadlines?

Grieving over a recent loss of a loved one?

Feeling anxiety due to medical conditions?

Family conflicts and strife?

Any of the above sound familiar?
We all go through issues in our daily lives.  Whether its an indirect “conflict” concerning a friend, or distant family member  Or whether its the stress of the world and all of which has transpired before our eyes on the news or in print, we can all feel the burden of troubles at our door.

What do you do for this?

I personally “RUN” to my LORD.   I embrace the time alone with Him.  To be with Him all day long is amazing in and of itself, but to be “alone” in my special prayer area is to know peace and to be filled with confidence knowing He’s got my back.

The time spent with my LORD alone is a veritable treasure.  It is the desire of my heart to “listen” to “speak” and to “hear” His Words.  To sit in solitude with my thoughts as I meditate on His Holy Word, and to accept His loving promises is life affirming.

To realize He is the ultimate Sovereign Supreme King of the Universe who give us unconditional love twenty-four-seven is truly a gift and beyond description.

Praise and worship hymns are our great defense to the spiritual realm, along with meditating on His word, and loving Him and honoring Him by following His commandments.  Remember, we don’t battle against flesh and blood, but instead do battle principalities in the dark realm, spiritual warfare.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

So our “weapons of defense” are spending time with the LORD in His word, singing songs of praise, and loving GOD with all of our mind, body and soul, is the fundamentals of survival in a world of darkness.

But…in between all of this…run to Him.

He knows your heart.

He loves us with a love that is unsurpassed.

Desires of your heart.  Do you know what they are?

Seek God…and He will show you.  Make time for Him and start living. Amen.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalm 37:4  KJV

DEAR GOD: Your Word Lives~

God's Word is A Lamp unto my feet~

Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV)

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

As we go through life we will encounter trials and times of grief or indecision.

When this happens, and invariably it will because no one goes through life unscathed, where do you go and who is it you seek?

Do you call a friend? Do you speak with a family member?  Do you speak with a co-worker?  All are okay of course, for support and such, but there is only one God.

His word, His voice and His love, wisdom and guidance is the essence of our being.

It is His voice and wisdom that I seek above all else.  It is His Sovereign power that I rush to and cling to, it is His unending strength and mercy that I long for. It is His amazing ability to sustain and nourish like none other that I live for.  It is because of Him that I live in the first place. For without His word…or voice…or light…I am nothing.

When we go to our Father for everything, we are bowing to Him and surrendering our will to His will and trusting Him to fulfill our needs, as only He can.

His Word cuts both ways, His Word is life affirming, His Word is our weapons of fortune in a world filled with greed and evil. His Word and His voice is the sanity that prevails in a world filled with insanity and despicable trials of hatred.

His Word, our Gospel Armor, is the protector of our souls and of our decency.  His Word is the path to eternal rewards and life.

So, the next time you wish to “speak” with someone…may I suggest seeking the highest authority in the universe, the one and only Living God, you will reap golden nuggets that transcend all else…and your soul will be in the best of hands, the very hands who created you.

Go on grab hold of His hand, He promises He will never let go…

DEAR GOD: Day after Day Your Love Renews my soul~

butterfly God's hands

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD:

my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Psalm 84:2  (KJV)

cropped-gettyimagedeargod.jpg

At  sunrise as the world slowly comes awake, we see another way to rejoice in the LORD in the day He has made.

Another day to follow the LORD.

And, yet another day to embrace His promises and listen to His voice of love.

Jesus instructed us to “love one another” and to offer a gentle and kind approach to our brothers and sisters.

The woman who anointed Jesus’ feet and wiped His feet with her hair was a sinner.  But as Jesus pointed out…her actions of love, and devotion, covered a multitude of sins.  He told her she was forgiven of her sins and to sin no more.  He gently taught/admonished those who questioned Him accepting the “woman of sin” into His presence. And, He told them, “this woman anointed me and cried tears of love as she kissed my feet.  Yet not one of you greeted me or washed my feet…” Luke 7:36-50

womanbyjesusfeet

Love. Love. Love.   The four letter word has huge repercussions in our daily lives.  The love of family, friends, neighbors and yes, even strangers.  But, the love of God, our heavenly Abba Father’s love is unsurpassed and by means of definition indescribable.

It is a feeling that can’t be put into words. It’s a feeling of well-being spiritually.  It’s a feeling of comfort and peace.

The world may bring troubles.  But, God brings His infinite and consuming fire of warmth and peace…and love.

The world is chaotic.

The LORD is the author of peace.

holy_spiritwithout words

His Spirit living/dwelling within us inherently guides us.  His Spirit always bringing conviction to our daily decisions.  Everything we do is a result of our faith.

When those who choose to be on social media write or post…what they do or write or share is in large part due to their faith and conviction.

Those who use laptops, tablets or smart phones all of their encounters and contacts are all embedded in their faith by choosing the narrow path of conviction.

When we step into a booth to cast a “vote” — our conviction and moral barometers set by our spirit from within will guide us.  Ultimately all in which we undertake is a result of our faith.

The help comes from above.

The choice is ours.

We are His.  We are His children. We are His creation.

Our souls…made with perfection by the Master of masters.

We are royalty…children of of the Royal King of kings.

Love. Love. Love.  Maybe the Beatles knew what they were talking about all those years ago huh?

Love…it covers a multitude of sins.

Rejoice in this day the LORD has made.

Seek His face.

He promises to show you the treasures of your heart when you rejoice in the Him.

His voice.  Can you hear Him?

His love.  Can you feel it?

Listen…love Him…and truly begin to enjoy each and every second of your life on earth.   And, smile, because when this life is over eternity with our Father is the beginning of forever.

Luke 7:36-50 (KJV)

36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.

37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

DEAR GOD: Your Word is Truth~

jude

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.    Jude 1:4  (KJV)

I’ve been witness to so-called preachers who’ve told “their own version” of God’s Word. Or more exact, have “told false versions” of God’s Word and message.

Those of us who are mature in the Word will be able to recognize the blatant disregard of interpretation quite easily.  Discerning spirits will stand upright and know without a doubt the message is false.

Have any of you been witness to the “buffet style” Bible verse messenger?

You know the kind of preacher of which I’m referring.

The one that will preach prosperity and feel good messages.  They’ll smile and  deliver the message that “Oh everything is fine and we don’t need to do anything because we’ve already been saved” so we can stay in a lifestyle that’s non-conforming to God’s Word and continue in our “old ways” and everything will be fine.

This is a “false messenger” and one that can be dangerous.  Yes, we’re saved. But to continue in “former lifestyles”  or beliefs that were prior or before coming to the LORD is walking contrary to His Word and His commandments.

Jesus warns us in Matthew 7:15  “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

Then Paul warns us in  2 Timothy 4:3-4  “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths.”

I watched in amazement how a major personality in the “religious circle” was speaking  to a huge audience in a charming, seductive, cunning way.  It was horrible to witness this person taking advantage of his non-discerning audience.

He was teaching  you can overcome fear, guilt and psychological hang-ups, even alcoholism, through meditation.  But wait for it. Not through “meditation in God’s Word”– but instead, through meditation techniques drawn from a mixture of eastern mysticism, and the New Age Movement.

To each their own, right?  Well, yes…but not when the individual  calls himself an “apostle” of Jesus.  He was speaking the direct opposite of Jesus’ doctrine or teachings. Talking about a completely different ballgame.  In fact, half the time he didn’t even sound like a Christian.

He gave the impression that he has a very intimate relationship with God and reported having visions, encounters and conversations with Him. He assured his audiences that if they apply to his teachings, of new age meditation they too can become more intimate with God!!

Jesus’ warning rang out as I watched.  And, Paul’s words rang true.

Later on while speaking with a friend… the person said, “there’s nothing wrong with that, he loves God. God accepts everyone who loves Him. God is all about love. And, he will accept that man because he is teaching love.”

Hang on!  Not if the person is leading the flock astray and fooling them with guile, pretense and false words. I’m not thinking that God approves of that.

This “false preacher” is not feeding the flock.  Instead he’s starving them and leading them astray. He was insisting that they trust the love of God,” because God loves you no matter what you do, even if you don’t repent.”

Yes God does love us…all of us…but He hates sin.  And, we are called to a higher level when we walk with Him. We are to repent and have a contrite heart.

But according to this individual he was saying –There is no call to sanctification or holiness. He gave excuses–by saying sin is human weakness and that God will tolerate it regardless of whether the sinner is repentant or not. By stating this…he was turning “the grace of our God into licentiousness.”

False….God’s Word clearly hates sin.  “Thou dost hate all who do iniquity” (Psalm 5:5).

For those who stand and use excuses to “sin” and continue to do so stating the God loves us no matter what are skating on thin ice that is melting rapidly.

Those who are ignorant of the Word are sadly misinformed, but those who “preach” falsely are subject to God’s wrath.

I don’t want to come down like fire and brimstone here, but truly when I see false preachers on television…or those begging for money to perform an instant miracle…it galls me and truly grieves my spirit, and so should it yours too.

Keep in His Word, communicate with the LORD daily, and gain a deeper understanding of His wishes…then strive to please Him and only Him.  Not man, or His false doctrine, but the LORD and His doctrine.

Don’t be deceived or partake with those of false preachers.  “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”  Ephesians 5:11

Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.  Be aware, be diligent, and be wise.  Jesus said  “You will know them by their fruits” –— pay heed and be watchmen and women.

Eternal Salvation is our reward.  Eternity.  That’s a long time isn’t it? If we do this right in this lifetime, imagine being with our LORD forever.  Amazing huh?

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.    Colossians 2:8

DEAR GOD: My Rock & Shield & Tower & Light~

prayer

The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

2 Samuel 22:3 (KJV)

Flesh is weak and is subject to selfish acts or deeds, whereas our spirit is fortified by God’s Spirit and direction…and we are strong through Him and Him alone.

There will be times in every Christian’s life where they will sift through their minds with questions of doubt, that’s to be expected.  However, the good news is, when we have the strong conviction from our Father and are followers and sealed in faith, we won’t dwell in “self-doubt” long.

It is through God’s grace and love, and our being “grafted” or “rooted” onto the vine, we move on and adapt to our situations successfully.  We are able to get it together eventually…but only by God’s grace and love.

He alone is our Rock.

He alone is our Shield.

He alone is our Tower.

He alone is our Salvation.

He alone is our Light.

A rock is a indestructible substance.   A tower is something that is way above the rest…standing high above all else.  Salvation is  the preservation or deliverance from destruction, difficulty, or evil.

And last but certainly not least–Light.   Light is the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible thereby delivering us from darkness.

God is all of the above and more. He is defined in the Bible as a “Fir Tree” everlasting….and our loving Father.

He is defined as a Shepherd, tending to His flock… and our loving Father.

He is described as a King of kings…over all men and women…and our loving Father.

He is described as a Buckler, stronghold, refuge…and our loving Father.

The Great I AM I AM,  the Alpha and the Omega…and our loving Father.

He is all things to all people, but mainly our loving Father.

A Father who wants the best for His children.  A Father who is relentless in His pursuit of provisions for His children.  And a Father who is unconditional in His love for His children.

As we go forward this day. Let’s keep in mind that our Father is omnipotent and is everywhere.  He cannot be kept in a box or pinned down. He is the air we breathe, the blood coursing through our veins, and the heart and soul of our very existence.

Our Rock.  Our Shield.  Our Tower.  Our Salvation.  Our Light.

And,  most of all…Our Loving Father.
