DEAR GOD: A Simple Message–Thank You–I Love YOU~

Christmas Hymns, sparkling  white candles, devotion to the LORD and Savior, and a heart filled with thanks and love, to the heart that is the consummate Being of LOVE… So,thank You my sweet Lord!

As a child Christmas was always special, first and foremost, because Jesus Christ came to live with us, and save us. To celebrate His glory and miraculous birth, we had lights ablaze on our outside porch, white flickering lights, a huge wreath adorned our front door, and on our lawn the nativity scene.   So,Thank You Lord!

Inside the house, a big tree that hit our ceiling, and many times had to be sized down to make it fit, it was decorated with tinsel and old fashioned ornaments; each different, each unique in its own way.  Colorful presents arranged with care under the tree, the scent of mom’s incredible cooking, and baking, along with the anticipation of family visiting later on, to join in on the joyful festivities. These cherished memories lay within the folds of my mind and  are sealed deep within my heart and soul, to which I’m thankful and so blessed to have had growing up.   So, thank You Lord!

Midnight services a special and beautiful tradition, to worship the LORD with other believers ,was a divine pleasure and joy.  Afterwards presents were exchanged in honor of the LORD…sheer perfection.  SoThank You Lord!

Oh, yes!  Sweet memories, dashing through my head, touching my heart as happy tears fill my eyes. Although both parents are gone now, Dad 19 years ago, and Mom 3 1/2 years…they’re never gone from my heart or mind, never.  So, Thank You Lord!

My parents exemplified decency, compassion, and love, along with a vast fountain of wisdom, that they carefully taught to each of their children.  But perhaps the biggest legacy they left, was their love, and devotion, to their children, and their example for us, their children.  So thank you Dad and Mom, for your guidance, and wisdom, and watching us grow into adults, and holding us through it all.  So,Thank You Lord!

So, this Christmas..(and every day)  I hold them in my heart, and smile, knowing I was truly blessed to have had them as parents. And like my “Earth Mom and Dad” who led us, guided us, and held my hand, I know my Father in Heaven loves me,and is guiding me, leading me, and holding my hand, each and every day of my life.  So, Thank You Lord!

He holds me up every step of the way, for the rest of my days, until the day He takes me home into His presence, in Heaven for all eternity. So, Thank You Lord!

“Father God, Lord of lords, and King of kings, Creator of the Universe, and my heart and soul, Thank You for my parents, my blessings, and for all that You are, and all that You have done since the beginning of time, and continue doing for Your children, now and always, I give You all the glory, honor, praise no matter what, Thank You for Your love and Your protection, I love You Lord, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.”

Isaiah 41:10
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.

Genesis 15:1
After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”

Exodus 15:2
The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

2 Chronicles 20:15
And he said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the LORD says: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army, for the battle does not belong to you, but to God.

DEAR GOD: Forever Amazed & Never Afraid~

And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

Matthew 12:23 (KJV)

To know that the LORD truly loves us is a powerful and reaffirmation of our very beings, of our existence, and of our LIFE.

He brought us the perfect unblemished Lamb and delivered Him so that He would heal, teach, preach, and spread love and be a witness to His Father in Heaven…but, most of all—to save us.

That “GIFT” which is to say, our Savior Jesus Christ, is the biggest and most incredible and most amazing of all since the beginning of time and this very moment and beyond.

How can we not be amazed?

How can we not be grateful?

How can we not be joyful?

Why should we fear?  There is nothing to fear, “for greater is the One in me than the one in the world” 1 John

And, we should not fear, “for we were created in perfect love” 1 John.
Fear causes anguish, and darkness…that is from the enemy.  And, we rebuke all those things that are not of God in Jesus powerful name, which he invested all power and authority to us, in HIS NAME.

Being a mature Christian is following through with our faith even when times are tough, and embracing Him as our One and Only true Master of all things.  Being a mature Christian is recognizing His incredible Sovereign power, and His amazing grace.  And, knowing we are growing through each step of adversity…and our rewards await us in heaven.

How amazing is that?

“Father God, thank You for Your love, Your power, Your protection, for being our everything, and for giving us the greatest gift of all, Your precious Son, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.”

1 John
Chapter 4

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother

DEAR GOD: I Love You–Thank You for Loving Me~

God is an all consuming God.

He loves each and every one of His children and doesn’t discriminate.

We are all on the same level and all royal children of God.

There will be times when God seems quiet.  I’m sure it’s happened to many of you, where you will say, “Gee I haven’t heard from God, and I feel like I’m in a place of stagnation, unmoving, unchanging, and yearning for more.” Does that sound familiar?  As children of faith we all go through peaks and valleys, because let’s face facts, life is ever changing, if it were not, we wouldn’t in fact be living now would we?

So life is “static” just like our blood pressure.  Sometimes it’s up…sometimes it’s down. So too is our circumstances in life.

Each valley we go through is a journey of learning, a journey of plight, and a journey of worth.  As we journey we are in a “learning and feeling” vortex which has an outcome that will bring us closer to God and further our spiritual growth.

God always listens, and is always there for us, this is a given.  So, even when we feel “alone” we are not alone.  He promises us “ I will never leave you nor forsake you”   and Jesus promised, “…And lo, I am with you even until the end of the world.”

Those promises from God are rock solid and when we feel alone those promises should immediately rush to our mind and fortify us with strength and further our faith.  Knowing He is with us always, even when we “can’t feel Him.”

God’s beautiful “love letter” His Word, in His Holy Bible, is filled with awe and wonder.  Each word a story within a story, and each book a testimony of faith for generations past, present and to come. These are all for our purpose, for our enlightenment and for our journey of love which will take us from here into the eternity.

He is the Great I AM.  The One and Only.  The Lord of lords.  The King of kings.  The Alpha and the Omega.

No one comes close to who He is and what He is.

He brings us through each cycle of our “static” circumstances.  And, whether good or bad He will make it easier for us and hold us through it all, no matter what. Our spiritual selves should always remember, even when the “flesh” forgets” is that if He brings us “to it” He will bring us “through it.” Amen.

Always  know He is listening. He is watching. He is with us. And, he LOVES US!

“Dear Lord, my amazing Abba Daddy, I love You so much, and I thank You for what You’ve done for Your children since the beginning of time, to this very moment in time, for the future, and for the eternity, that through Your Son Jesus Christ has granted us, thank You, thank You, thank You…in Jesus precious name I pray, Amen.”

“Dear Lord, I pray for all of those in the darkness, that come into the light and seek Your glorious and beautiful face, and accept You as their Lord and Savior, in Jesus Christ name, Amen.”

Deuteronomy

Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV-

And the LORD, He [it is] that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

DEAR GOD: Renew-Refresh-Restore~

Ephesians 4:23

“And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”

I was watching an advertisement on TV recently which showed a young lady grabbing soap and heading for the shower, and the message was, “refresh and clean yourself as you wash away your cares.”

Although the commercial was innovative it brought about a bigger message to my spirit, the “renewal and washing clean” by the Holy Spirit, made possible by Jesus Christ through His and our Father, the great I AM.  And, Jesus telling us to lay down our burdens and cares to Him, “because He cares for us.”

Washing from the “outside” is necessary for hygienic purposes, but it does just that, washing the outside.

God washes from “the inside” and makes us clean in spirit.  He provides the hunger in our hearts to pursue Him more fervently than we previously did, when we cling to His promises, and meditate on His word, and get to know Him personally.

When we cast our cares to Him, we have a resurgence of hope and the ability to “breathe” because He is there helping us and lightening our load.

With each step of spiritual growth in accordance to His word and plans for our lives, we are enhancing our “cleanliness” in which God’s grace provides, and we are consuming a deeper and more profound use of our time here on earth.

When we walk the walk and talk the talk we are being witness to His love and promises, and being examples to all we come into contact with, whether they wish to “take root in His Word” is up to God.  We spread the seeds, God provides the water in which to make the roots grow.

Restoration, renewal, and rewards are all part of our faith and the affirmation of our love of God, but more important a proclamation of His love for us!

Delve into His word, get to know your Lord and Savior, be a part of His plan for your life, and spark the embers until they’re ablaze in a roaring fire of His consuming love.

You will never want to be away from Him once you accept Him, know Him, and fall in love with Him.

He will never leave us, nor forsake us,  He is there for us no matter what.  He wants to take away our cares and refresh us.

What an amazing God we serve.

There is truly no other love like His.

Amen!

DEAR GOD: Blessed in Connections to You~

Luke 18:9-14

To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people-robbers, evildoers, adulterers-or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Connecting to God is crucial to those of faith; and connecting with God is tantamount to eternal rewards living with Him for all eternity.  How can we do this?

As it states in Luke 18:9-14, one prime example is to be “humble in attitude and spirit” to praise and proclaim His glory in all that we  endeavor to take on in life; through actions, words, and the trust and love we have in our heart for the Father, our God almighty. When we aspire to walk the path that is narrow, and leads to all things pertaining to Christ, we are adhering to His ways and thereby the result will inherently be “spiritual growth.”

Connecting to God through people, animals, creatures big and small, and even through an appreciation of the beauty of this planet, skies, flowers, mountains, sea, green fields, we are part of Him in all that we see and do.

When we do all things unto the LORD, we are giving Him the praise and glory that He is so worthy to receive.

When we proclaim His glory by reading and believing in His word, we are solidifying our belief and our faith grows…by hearing the word of God.

We are all part of a huge family in Christ; whether we realize it or not…we are “all” His, and He is ours.  Although, sadly there are some who don’t understand this, or choose not to believe, we still are all connected by God, through all things made.

This season of love in Christ, open up to others in ways that might seem strange, go outside your comfort zone if you feel Him knocking on your heart to do so.  This is the first step of “connecting” in deeper ways, and ways that will please Him.

He loves you…don’t you want to please Him?

Well, begin by opening up His Love letter to us.

He will show you the way, the life, and the truth. Amen.

“Hallelujah and Praise you Lord for all You are and all that you do for your children, since the beginning of time, and continue to do,  You are still in control, on the throne, and we worship You, glorify You now and always, in Jesus precious name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: I Love You and all that You Are~

He is Mighty!

He is Awesome!

He is Glorious!

He is Sovereign!

He is Omnipotent!

He is the Great I AM I AM!

He is Love!

He is Glorious!

When we are in the depths of despair…”look up” and He’s there.

When we are in the throws of loneliness…”look up” and He’s there.

When we are looking for answers…”look up” and He’s there.

When we are trying to gain strength for which we are weak…”look up and “He’s there.”

Whatever we are in need of, “look up and He’s there.”

And, He’s right beside us…in front of us…behind us…and “IN US.”

This time of the year can be hectic to most families, after all the Holidays can be stressful to those juggling “life” as it were. So many responsibilities, so little time in which to accomplish what we need to get done. Family, friends, co-workers…all in a whirl of activity designed around the “holiday.”  Things to buy, things to do…

Now, if the holiday can be stressful to those “with family” and a “roof over their head” — what is life like for those without family, children, or a home over their head?

What is life like for the “newly widowed” lady down the street?

What is life like for the parents who just lost a child to a hideous crime?

What is life like for the individuals in a nursing home without any friends or family to visit?

What is life like for those without faith?

Spread the LOVE this year in ways that are outside your comfort zone.

Do something for someone in need in the name of Jesus.

Donate to that food shelter, or go visit someone who has no family in an nursing home.

Visit the newly widowed lady down the street from you.

Bring some food to homeless shelter.

And smile more.  Those muscles in your face will thank you for the exercise!    You’d be surprised what a smile can do for someone.

This holiday, which is the LORD’s Season…proclaim His Glory through “His love” by extending and sharing “His love.”

“Father God, Master and Creator of the Universe, we give You all the Glory and Honor and Dominion, and we exalt You, in Jesus Christ name, Amen.”

1 John 4:19

“We love him, because he first loved us.”

DEAR GOD: Under Your Watchful Eyes~

1 Peter 3:12

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer.

But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

As we rush through life and take on everyday tasks we are always being watched by the LORD; there isn’t anywhere we can go, or anything we do that He doesn’t see, or hear.

That to most Christians, or those of faith, a very reassuring promise from God.  Throughout the Bible His promises are there, and He is a faithful God and always with us.  So…that in itself is a comfort and like a love letter from the LORD. Amen.

But what of those who don’t know Him?  How can we help?

Well, we can ask the LORD for assistance in being His vessel and sending those to us who don’t know Him, and for His guidance in how to approach them, and how to plant the seeds of which they need to hear.  But, we must always remember, that it isn’t US that is doing the “watering.”  It is in fact God who does the watering and allows the growth.  We are merely messengers and can only do so much, again…it bears repeating, it is God who does the watering of the seeds we drop in the soil, and it is God that allows the growth.

Of course, there will be those who listen for a little while, and then the world will take them away before the seeds take root.

Or those that will hear, and be interested, but the seed will not get planted at all.  It will fall on stony ground.

These examples, or parables…were all explained by Jesus.  And, the one who takes it away…is the enemy.

Those who pray, and give their hearts to the LORD, and listen to His Word, are doing all they can to bear good fruit, while seeking His face, and His Kingdom.

The promises are overwhelming in the LORD’s word.

In Ephesians 1:13, we are told about the Holy Spirit of promise. That is elocution that really means “the promised Holy Spirit.” He ‘s the One who has been promised in the Old Testament and has come in all  fullness of the expectation under the terms of the new covenant.

Similar language is used in John 7:37–39. And in the entire farewell discourse (John 14–16), where the Holy Spirit — sometimes called the Comforter, (Parkletos in Greek) the Helper, the one alongside who succeeds Jesus — He comes and is with the disciples and will be with them. And the Christians after the resurrection are told to wait for the promised Holy Spirit who will come upon them on the day of Pentecost (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4; 2:1–4).

So these promises, are just a few…but important to note that the Holy Spirit is with us always.  That is our Comforter, and that is a promise fulfilled from that day, to this day, and until our last day on earth…at which time we will be given our rewards in Heaven for Eternity. Amen.

But, for now…pray and know that God is watching, He is listening, and He loves us with every fiber of His Magnificent Being. And what a “comfort” that is.”

“Thank You Father for Your promises of Old and New, and for Your watchful eyes over me, I thank You for Your love, and Your guidance with the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Thankful Everyday for YOU~

Ephesians 5:20

Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ.

Americans celebrate Thanksgiving and are grateful for company, good food, and securing traditional practices of which they’re families are accustomed to.   Laughter, good cheer, and love, go hand-in-hand at the table of thanksgiving.

However, the practice of giving “thanks” should be in our daily acumen.  We should be grateful to God for all things, big and small, no matter the circumstances, no matter the outcome.  Because God, our incredible Father, loves us and wants us to be happy and prosper and have an abundance of love surrounding us, every single day of our lives.

Love.  Isn’t that the definitive message from God?  His love?

After all, He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to redeem us and save us from our sins in order to secure a seat at His banquet table in Eternity.

This day, enjoy your family, friends and each other…but don’t forget to give thanks to the HOLY ONE, the One who started it all.  The One who is with us through thick and thin.  The One who loves us beyond measure.

For those who find themselves alone this Thanksgiving…Remember, physically you may be alone…but spiritually, God is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you…ever!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

May God’s blessings shine on you this day and always, in Jesus Christ’ precious name Amen!

1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Chronicles 16:34 34Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Psalm 107:1 1Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

DEAR GOD: Adversity is a Bridge to You~

See the source image

Adversity is a bridge to a deeper relationship with God.

When we read Joshua, there are key elements that are glaringly apparent throughout the book.  We become aware of God’s presence that energizes our work.

We become critically and keenly aware of how we must TRUST GOD, and by so doing, it means trusting Him fully because He can see beyond what we can see.  We must remember that God doesn’t require us to understand His will, but in fact…simply obey it, even it is seems unreasonable to “our mind” which is far inferior to that of our Father’s mind.

He instructs Joshua to stay in the “Word” and not to depart from His “law.”

In Joshua 1:8; the Lord states with undeniably clarity and tenacity, “This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.”

He is reinforcing the importance of staying with His Word and Law, and doing what is required in order to fulfill His Will.  And, assuring us that when we do, we will be prosperous and have good success!

This was the same command He issued to future Israelite kings in Deuteronomy 17:19–he was to meditate on the Word of God every day knowledge of God’s will is crucial to doing so.  And this is so to this day.

God didn’t change.

His Word didn’t change.

His Will and Law didn’t change. (Sacrificial blood ordinance changed…Jesus Blood took care of that.)

His plans for our success and purpose didn’t change.

And, most especially…His love didn’t expire or change…He still loves all of His children.

He declared in Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

It is so easy to focus on “our problems” which we can see, and not on God, whom we can’t see.  As Joshua discovered, “God is with us no matter where we are, no matter what we are going through, and He is with us no matter how big or how small our problem are…He is with us ALWAYS.

He will never leave us nor forsake us.

He will never stop loving us.

He is a faithful and merciful God.

He will forgive us, over and over again.

Remember that Joshua knew all about adversity. He wandered in the wilderness for forty years. He was “way qualified” in the adversity department.  But, He never lost sight of the fact that God was with Him throughout it all. And when it was time for the people of God to cross the Jordan River, Joshua was named by God to take over.

When we go to Him in prayer we are trusting Him and surrendering to Him.  Understanding that God’s way is far different than ours is a vital proponent in connecting with Him on so many levels.  For although He is with us, He is far above us in all aspects, and so this is why we must surrender to His will and trust Him fully in order for Him to provide in a deeper realm, open up to Him and expose yourself entirely to His hands of mercy and Will.

Obedience is a “must” and a high priority in every believer’s life. The Holy Spirit enable us to walk obediently before God, in His strength, and His power. Amen.

Choose to obey Him, even if you don’t understand why He is asking you to do something…when we do, we can fully expect to become the person God is molding us to be, and to bear fruit that is highly favorable with the Lord almighty.

When we do all of this according to His will and purpose, you can expect to receive rewards that will overwhelm you with joy and love.

So  at times, we need to be still and know that He is God… in order to fulfill our purpose according to the Master.

He is God.  We are His.  His will be done on earth as it is in heaven…

Be prepared, and prepare to do all that He wills in your life. Amen and Amen!

DEAR GOD: Your Path be Glorious as Your Love~

Enter ye in at the strait gate:

for wide is the gate, and broad is the way,

that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at:

Because strait is the gate,

and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life,

and few there be that find it.

(Matthew 7:13-14 KJV)

The narrow path is difficult at times to walk upon but it is a path that is worth the effort and our time to pursue and adhere to.

The world is filled with iniquities that are far removed from God, and it’s becoming pronounced more so with each passing day.

Destruction, vulgarity, perversion, turning away from God, it’s all so painfully obvious, and those that choose the path of God will be rewarded openly by God, now and for all eternity.

So look around today…take a close look and examine what is happening.

There are miracles that are still happening today.  It could come in a small saving grace such as being early in a supermarket and getting a $25 gift certificate–or something as extraordinary as my husband’s friend’s mother who was given only hours to live.  Her daughter and son went to her ICU room in the hospital and started reading Psalms by her “death bed” –within a little while of reading the Bible, and after prayers, her vitals improved, doctors were shocked, and she is currently doing extremely well! Praise God!  He is good all the time, God is good.  Thank you Lord!

There is no Rock, and no God like ours.  His mercy endureth forever and ever!  Amen and Amen.

Let everything that has breath proclaim He is Lord and give Him praise.  He is so worthy.  Thank Him everyday, no matter what.  And, prostrate yourself in His presence, for His love endures and His promises unending. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.  (Psalm 150:6 KJV)  He is faithful to ALL GENERATIONS throughout the ages, and He still is here, on the throne…always.

There is something so powerful and moving about praising His name through our actions, and our words, and in song!

In 2 Chronicles 20, there is an account of how the nation of Judah experienced an overwhelming victory against an attacking enemy because they sent the musicians and singers out before the army, praising the Lord and declaring His enduring love.

Their secret weapon was to proclaim and give THANKS TO THE LORD, for his loving kindness is everlasting. So, there is something to be said about praising Him!  The Bible says so, and that’s enough for me!

So to those who already know about Him and His glory…Hallelujah!

For those wo haven’t experienced it…I pray you find Him and seek His face. You might want to start with John 3:16–and go from there. He loves all of us, no matter what.

What path will you walk on?

The lord reigns and He is a mighty God.

Amen & Amen.

Thanks be to Him, now and always.

Amen & Amen.
