DEAR GOD: Your Eternal Love~

For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD.

 Romans 6:23

Amen!

Eternal life.  Can you imagine it?  Have you taken time to reflect and imagine a serenity so beyond our grasp of human understanding?  Christ’ blood…washed clean…eternity.  What an eternal love story indeed.

He loves us. Each and every one of us.

That kind of love, Agape love…true unconditional love that only the FATHER can give.

Sure most of us experience love in many forms.  We can experience spousal love; or parental love from our earth parents; and brother/sister love;  plus friendship love; so on and so forth.  But, the ultimate all time over the moon and beyond back to our very heart and soul type of love…nope…that love comes from our Father.

Only He and He alone is capable of that special kind of love as evidenced throughout the Bible, over and over again.  And,  that love is clearly evident today, over and over again.

He is still on the throne, still in control, and still loving each and every one of us, over and over again.

No matter how many times we sin.  No matter how many times we may be neglectful in our daily activities of life towards Him, He continues to love us, over and over again.

For the life of the flesh is in the the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonment for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonment for the soul.  Leviticus 17:11

The blood of the Lamb.  The precious blood of the Lamb.  God’s promises to His children, fulfilled and completed at the cross.  “It is finished” John 19:30— and so the Love story was complete.  Of the last saying of Christ on the cross.  “It is finished” found on in the Gospel of John, the Greek work translated is tetelestai which means “it is paid in full.”

Our sins.  The sins of the world, our iniquities, were thrust upon the perfect unblemished Lamb of God…our sins…paid in full!

He wiped it away.  He redeemed us and eliminated the debt owed by mankind…the debt of sin.

“None other but God in the flesh could accomplish such a task.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

Jesus’ work was done as He finished the will of the Father. He demonstrated this by His perfect obedience to Him.  The power of sin and the enemy was finished.  Mankind would no longer have to suffer the “flaming arrows of the evil one.”

In Jesus we can raise our shield of faith. The One who completed the work of redemption and salvation.  We are as new creations, with the “old creature” left behind.  We are alive in Him. Born anew…and offered eternity through His love and actions.

Jesus’ work and mission on earth was accomplished through the Father’s divine plan for mankind. We are made alive through Christ…through the Father’s love. ( Ephesians 2:1-5 )

Love eternal.  It is something that poets throughout the ages wrote about.  It’s something that movies boast about.  It is something we all dream about and hold onto once we have it.

But, the love of GOD…that’s something totally different.

The LORD’s love for His children, well that is something to write and shout about.  His love surrounds us daily.

His love is a warm summer breeze that will caress our face as we walk through a peaceful meadow.

His love is the living water that streams endlessly through a beautiful forest.

His love is the dew atop a rose petal that glistens in the bright sunshine.

His love is the miracle of a newborn baby.

His love is a puppy or kitten crying for his mommy’s milk.

But most important, the greatest love story of all time was  sanctified on the cross at Calvary.

There is absolutely nothing that can or ever will top that!

Thank You Father God!

DEAR GOD: My Savior & King of kings~

****

Jesus said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

John 8:58

The Alpha, Omega, no beginning, no end.  He was as in the first foundation, before all time.  He is now and always will be.  In the beginning the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word was made flesh and walked among us.

****

Without Father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of god, abideth a priest continually.

 (Hebrews 7:3)

****

Jesus came to save us and offer eternal salvation.  Crucified for us, suffered, died and was buried.  On the third day He rose again.

He defeated death, that is to say…the “grave/enemy.”

He is the author of salvation, our Life, our essence of being.

Our breath.

Our everything.

He was sent by the Father and in His presence was the glory of God, the Father, shown through Christ His Son.  The worthy Lamb, unblemished and without sin.

****
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am: that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thous lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

(Colossians 1:17)

****

The LORD is good and pure and powerful.

He is the Light of lights.

Where He is, there also is the Father…and the Holy Spirit.

****

At this blessed weekend of the Resurrection, remember that Christ became our Passover.

His blood covered us and washed us clean.

Our crimson stains white as wool, and clean as the driven snow. The sacrifice of His love is beyond description, the enormous meaning behind His actions undeniable.

When we reflect upon Him and His worthiness, let us bow down and give thanks to the One and Only Living God.

The Father God who knows us from the beginning of time wants nothing more than our love and obedience as we walk in accordance to His Word.

****

“Heavenly Father, thank You for the greatest love story of all time,  thank You for Your hands of grace that touch our face with unconditional regard, thank You for breathing life into Your children, and thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your only begotten Son, most of all…thank You for loving us in a way that is above all the rest, and is the absolute best, Praise Your Holy name, forever and always, in Jesus precious name, Amen.”

Happy Blessed Resurrection Weekend brothers and sisters!

DEAR GOD: I’m Still and Know YOU are in Control~

When reading that verse what do you feel?

I can say that I feel peace. Do you feel peace?

You should… That verse says it all.

Be Still and know that I am God.  Wow!

Knowing that God is in control at all times, that no matter what,  He has our back, and this is a “gift” from high above.

In this present time of turmoil throughout the world, have courage and don’t fear, God is in control.

NO matter what’s brewing, or has transpired near or far…God is in control!

Sometimes, we can get ahead of ourselves without consulting the “One” that knows all, is in control, and wants the absolute best for His children.

When we go forth without placing Him first in all we do life can get complicated and can get out of control really quickly.

For some, it might take a little longer, but there is one thing that is for certain, when we leave God out of the equation, things are vapid and subject to evaporation.  That is to say, the things of earth aren’t lasting, they’re fleeting and will rust and decay.  This includes our flesh bodies.

Our beautiful spiritual bodies are the ones that last for eternity…IF we adhere to His Word and lead a life that aligns with His will.  Our spiritual bodies are forever, and through Christ we are granted this mind boggling and beyond explanation gift of love.

It’s hard at times to stay focused on the Word when undergoing stressful situations.  We’re human and inasmuch, liable to find it difficult to concentrate if we’re in pain physically or emotionally.

But that’s when we need to celebrate His love for us and praise Him no matter the circumstances.  We need to absorb the verse “Be still and know that I am God” and realize He is in control.

He sees what we’re going through.  In fact, He knows what we’ll be going through before we are going through it.

He feels our pain.  He sees our tears and knows how many teardrops fall from our eyes.

He hears our  prayers and knows our hearts.

He wants what’s best for all of us.

And, when our hearts break…His breaks also.

When we open our hearts to our loving Father God, we’re under the umbrella of protection, no matter what.

We might not feel it sometimes, but we’re under His protection, and living in His love of generosity constantly...IF we let Him in…and surrender to His almighty Sovereign ways.

Today, listen for His voice.

Stop and realize that He is with you always, no matter what.

He’s waiting for you to call out to Him, and trust Him no matter what.

Speak to Him from your heart.  He knows each beat it takes and knows how many beats it has left.

He knows how many hairs are on your head.

He knows your thoughts and desires.

He knows what’s best for you.

He knows what tomorrow and the next day will bring your way.  And, through it all, He loves you unconditionally.

That’s quite impressive wouldn’t you say?

Remember...”Be still and know He is God…”

DEAR GOD: We Seek Your Face~

Seek the LORD and His strength: seek His face evermore.

Psalm 105:4

When we seek the LORD we are in fact seeking His divine presence.  “Presence” is a common translation for the Hebrew word “face.”

So, when we’re seeking His “face” it is the Hebraic way of access to God.  When we’re before His Face…it is to be in His presence.

The Word of God…or “His Voice” which is to say the Bible, calls us to repeatedly to “seek the LORD” which is to say, His presence.  Yet, although we have good intentions to always seek Him, sometimes, many of us become negligent, or lacking in our daily lives by not putting Him first…and trying to “find Him.”

God’s light is glorious, and the bright light is an indication of His personal and beautiful flawless character.  The light is our shield and our voice in all things we undertake, the light is our guide in the darkness so that we shall not stumble.

When we focus our mind and attention and our heart’s affection toward and on God, we continue a journey in intimacy in our relationship with Him.

“Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God”  (1 Chronicles 22:19)

When we pursue Him with all of our hearts and set our heart and mind of things above, we are walking in the spirit and not the flesh.  We are instructed to look for Him and not of things in this world, for He is not of the world, but in fact defeated the world…

“If then you have bee raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:1-2)

When we do these things, more will be added unto us, copiously, and generously by His hand from above.

God is in heaven, which tells of the glory of God…we seek Him through that, which He reveals in His Word.  He tells us of Himself, and gives us examples lending witness to our heart as He quickens us in the Word.

We become ALIVE!

For the Word is Life and Light!

Things of this world are set out to “blind us” and move us in a direction that is “away for the LORD” so, it is our conscious acts, to know what they are and not be fooled.  We are to move away from the world, and circumvent the obstacles in which we encounter at all times.

That is what “Seeking God” is all about.

“Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.”  (Isaiah 55:6)

Seeking does not constitute just “one or two things” but a constant calling and pleading and worshiping of our LORD to guide us, to keep our eyes open, to be alert and gain wisdom to avoid the counteractions of the enemy.   And only His Word and His Sovereign Presence can do that for us…

When we seek Him in humility, and surrender to His Powerful and loving arms, by immersing ourselves in His Word, which is to say our weapons of defense, we become victorious through Christ. But only HE can do this for us, no one else.

“Therefore, humility is essential to seeking the LORD.” Psalm 10:4)

“If you seek Him, He will be found by You.”                 (1 Chronicles 28:9)

We are only strong through Him. We will only be successful through Him.  We shall know Perfect peace, through Him.

Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!

And the rewards will be overflowing.

When we seek His face, it will be peace.

It’s akin to a blanket of dew settling upon a delicate rose petal;

Sweet, gentle, and refreshing.

O’ Praise His glorious name!

AMEN!

DEAR GOD: The Harvest & Rewards~

The Holy Word of the LORD is a comfort to those who know Him and hold it dear in their hearts. It is the “Book of Life” and the “Book of Love.”  It is an explanation of how we should live and how we can prosper.  It is instruction for His children.

We sow and we reap.

As we sow crops for the LORD we are hopeful that we’ll enjoy the harvest. As we prune our vineyards correctly; we’ll expect to enjoy the fruits of our labors.

The LORD blesses and multiplies the fruits of His children’s labor…if we’re pleasing to Him in that which we do.

If we’re not compliant or pleasing in His sight, although we sow the seeds, we’ll not “reap” enormous rewards, which is to say…fruits of our labor.

We can do things the Father’s way and be blessed, or not do things His way and not be blessed.  We can have a full bucket, or we can have holes in the bucket.

In other words, God wants His children to prosper and to share in His glory, and the way to do it is by His Word.  When we listen to His Word we’re going to prosper and be rewarded both on earth and in heaven.

Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; consider your ways.   Haggai 1:5     This is something all of us should do, and to meditate about.  This is a good verse to ask God in His wisdom to show you the path and the way to please Him.  It’s a good way to pray over this verse saying, “Father show me the way to please you.  Open the path of that which you wish for me to fulfill. In Jesus name. Amen.”  He will show you and He will guide you…when you ask and pray…and commune with Him.

When we accept the purpose of His will,  and do the word  we’re called to do,  while giving Him all the glory and praise, we’ll be nourished daily,   and the provisions the LORD sends our way will overflow.

Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the People; cast up cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.  Isaiah 62:10

Jesus Christ is to which this verse is referring. We are to live according to His principals and doctrine…and as we perform the duties in which we’re called to do…we will draw closer and closer to the LORD.  Our spiritual sight will improve, our hearing will be sharper, and our discerning ability will grow exponentially in Christ.

I have set watchmen upon thy walls. O’ Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night; ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence.  Isaiah 62:6

We are children of the One and only Living God.  We are to perform according to His ways.  The LORD has set up His children to watch at all times, be prepared and ready.

As we continue to sow the seeds of truth…remember  harvesting time grows near.  So look up because “redemption draws nigh…”

DEAR GOD: Breath on Earth and Breath for Eternity~

From the first breath of life God was there.

He is our Creator…and the Creator of all things.

But, getting back to our first breath of life…God was there.  With each breath thereafter, He was and is there.

As we went through all of the major milestones in life…He was and is there.

Our first step.

Our first word.

Our first day of school.

Our graduation.

Our engagement.

Our marriage.

Our first encounter with “death” of a loved one.

And, so on and so on…

If we’re fortunate to go through all of the major milestones in life… we should appreciate and know that we’re loved by our Father God

He guides us and leads us on paths of righteousness, if we seek Him with all of our heart, and acknowledge Him in all things, and lean not on our own understanding.   When we do these things, not through our own accord, but His…and love Him and keep from evil…it will be health to our navel and marrow for our bones.

(Proverbs 3:5-8)

In other words, we’ll be prosperous, and well being in soul, and spirit, through Him and Him alone.

As we age…we sometimes will find ourselves in a “rut” or wondering, “what else is there to do?”  We might think, well, we’ve hit all the milestones, and we’ve done “A—thru—Z” now what?

And perhaps begin to ponder, “Are we done here?  What else is there to look forward to?”

Well, as long as we’re here on earth, it means our time is not “done” and that we still have work to do for Him.

We are to continue on the path of righteousness, even though it might not be abundantly clear, we still need to persevere and continue on.  The race isn’t over until God says it is.

As we age, (if we are blessed to do so) we will see a lot of heartaches, people coming and going in our lives, and the loss of special family members, friends, and yes…even beloved pets.  But, through it all…God is there with us.

We might hold on tighter in times of trouble, and reach out to Him more so when the clouds loom large overhead.  But, His rainbow will break through every single time.  You’ve got to know that and believe it.

Somehow, the Lord led me to write this.  He obviously feels someone out there needs to hear this.  So, whomever this is for…know that God loves you, and you WILL get through this phase in your life.

The valley may be deep…but with His hands of love, He will pull you out, and bring you to the mountain tops, and protect you under His precious wings of joy.

Know that God doesn’t tempt us above that which we can’t handle, and He never gives us more than we can handle, and He will always–I said ALWAYS– show you a way out of whatever it is you’re going through.

(1 Corinthians 10:13)

So remember, we have a very significant role in life.

We are all different in our own way…but we are all God’s children, and we each have a purpose in this lifetime.

And, although we might be stumped, or in a “holding pattern” as we wait to see what He has in store for us, remember this:  “God will always have another milestone for us, no matter our age, no matter our circumstance, and He will never leave nor forsake us.

His word and His promises are everlasting, so too is His love.

And, when we take our “final breath” in our flesh bodies on earth and take our “first breath” in our spiritual bodies in heaven, God will there again.

This time for eternity!

 Hallelujah!

Praise His Holy name!

Amen!

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
(Isaiah 55:11)

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
(Isaiah 55:12)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

(Hebrews 12:1)

There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

(1 Corinthians 10:13)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

It shall be health to your navel, and marrow to your bones.

Proverbs 3:5-8

DEAR GOD: Your Truth Forever~

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:9 KJV)

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:9 KJV)

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.

Ephesians 6:14

We will need to remain in the “Ark of Truth” as the flood of lies emerge all around us.  The lies of the enemy (the father of lies) seems to be perpetuating and growing exponentially with each second of the passing days.

Every day there seems to be someone spewing rhetoric trying to “scare” those most vulnerable…with lies.  These lies, used by those with venomous intent,  adroitly use spear heading scare tactics to keep those in the stronghold of the enemy.  That is to say…the flood of lies.

How do we counter this?  By wearing our Gospel Armor.  By being in the Word and downloading vital scripture that will keep us afloat in the “flood.”

We of faith are covered by His blood…and are familiar with the books in the Holy Bible.  And, inasmuch, we need to grasp onto the LORD for all things.

The light shall shine through the darkness.  The despicable acts that are running rampant in the world today does not stand against the LORD and His infinite power.

His perfect peace will envelop those of faith.

Asking God to uphold us with His right hand of righteousness as we witness horrific actions and discord is the weapon of defense.

The first line of action…GOD and HIS WORD and His promises.

As the day begins, give thanks and praise to His Holy name.  Then speak to Him from your heart…and ask for His perfect peace and His wisdom to guide you through every moment of the day.   Seek His face and His Kingdom at all times, and all things that you need will be given unto you.

Stay anchored in His word, and the next time you “hear…or see…the lies surrounding you, like a hungry shark circling a boat in the ocean, smile and look up for you will be in the “boat of life” unsinkable.

After all with the LORD as our Captain…how can we go wrong?

Hallelujah and Amen!

DEAR GOD: One and All We are Yours~

Acts 10:34 (KJV)

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said,

Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

God loves us irrespective of our circumstances, our looks, or our physical stamina.  In other words, we are all equal in His marvelous sight.

When David was used to kill Goliath, he was barely an adolescent, a young man.  Yet, God called upon Him to be used for His purposes, and for His glory.

Moses was an old man and not an eloquent speaker, and yet God used Him for His purposes and for His glory to bring His people out of bondage.

When we begin to understand that God will use us for His purposes no matter who we are in this lifetime…we will understand that we are loved by Him unconditionally, and that when God “calls” us, we should respond willingly and without hesistation.

God wants us to depend on Him, and run to Him in good times and bad.  He wants us to prosper, and to accomplish much in our lifetime here on earth.  And, it is through Him that we will be able to carry out His plans accordingly, if we “listen” to His commands.

There are so many verses in the Bible, our Father’s love letter to us, in which numerous examples exist, where God brings purpose, and writes history through His children.  This is still going on today, even if it’s not being officially recorded in a “book.”

It happens each time a person helps someone in dire need.

It happens each time a person reaches out to a stranger in the land.

It happens each time a person helps a child in need.

It happens each time a person helps a widow in need.

It happens each time a person volunteers at a nursing home.

It happens each time a person extends their hand in thanks to a Veteran.

And, so it goes…since the beginning of time.  God’s glory and God’s purpose, and will, is still going on today.  There is nothing “old fashioned” or “outdated” about being His vessel for His purposes.

Sometimes, His purpose means to be doing exactly what you’re doing all along.  Like, taking care of your family.  Caring for your pet.  Being an unconditional friend or counsel to a lonely person.

It’s important to be tuned into His voice and His purpose for us in life.  When we “listen, pray, and commune with our Father” you’ll be surprised at what we can accomplish through Him.

Amen~
