DEAR GOD: My Protection, my Help and my Hope~

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Psalm 121:1-8 (KJV)

Did you ever feel tense about a situation, or circumstance that pounded into your mind, lending way to “fear” or “anxiety?”  I’m sure the answer is a resounding “YES” — because, we are, after all merely flesh…and all that flesh entails.

Yes,  even those of us who are part of the “faith-filled” society are prone to it.

Anxiety, frustration, or becoming tense about something in our lives, that drives the anxiety even higher ,is all part of being human.  But, it is these times in particular, that we need to clamp down on God’s promises, and His love, that is ever present, and lives within us, His Holy Spirit.

We are our own worst enemies when we get “mad” at ourselves for not being the “good Christian” for a way we might have acted, or a foolish thing we might have said.  That’s when we have to realize that the LORD loves us no matter what, and will always be there…even during tenuous times, or times of trials and tribulations.

When we are at our weakest, that is when God is the strongest. (2 Corinthians 13:9 KJV)

When we are at our lowest, that is when God will lift us higher. (Job 5:11 KJV)

When we are walking through darkness, that is when God’s light will be the brightest. (John 1:5 KJV)

It’s so important to never give up on His love, irrespective of our circumstances.  Don’t let the world and it’s ugliness pull you in, pummeling you with self doubt, and denial of God’s presence.  He is all around us, He is in us.  And He never will give up on us.

To those going through a rough patch right now, and who are feeling lost in the wilderness and frustrated, look to the heavens for you help, that’s where your help is.

For those struggling and hurting,  look to the LORD as He will protect you during times of adversity.

For those feeling alone and abandoned, the LORD is with you always. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

And, finally…for those who are looking for the answers to what is happening in your life, or about to happen in your life…meditate on His Word. Let His perfect peace engulf you and surround you inside and out.  Ask for His help in times of woe, and for His perfect peace and wisdom in all you undertake.

Remember, He is our refuge in times of trouble, He is our sanctuary where we can hide, and He is our everything in all things, today, tomorrow and always.

We can do all things through Christ which gives us strength to do so. (Philippians 4:13 KJV)

Trust in Him, fully, completely. (Proverbs 3:4-8 KJV)

Give yourself to Him freely, and wait on the LORD (Psalm 46:10 KJV)

He promises that He will never ever let you down…

“Father, I love You so much, and I acknowledge You are my Hope, my Help, my One and Only that can make all things right, I pray for those in the darkness that they see Your light, Your salvation, and Your love,  My Lord, may I always seek You in all I do, this day and always, in Jesus Christ precious name I pray, Amen…”

Psalm 62 (KJV)

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

DEAR GOD: Your Word is My All and All~

I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy Word.

Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in Thy Word.

Psalm 119:147-148 (KJV)

Whom do you run to when you’re in need of help or comfort?

Where do you immediately want to go?

Is it your spouse?

A significant other?

A trusted friend?

A colleague?

Your mom or dad?

A sibling?

Perhaps, at one time or another, it might be all of the above, and the Lord knows, we all need confidants, and trustworthy, and reliable individuals in our life.  However, who is the One constant in your life?  Who is the One that will be there from your first breath, to your last?  Who knows you more than anyone else on earth? Who loves you more than the intensity of a thousand suns? Who loves you more than all of the stars in the Universe? Who loves you unconditionally and freely?

The LORD, our Father, should immediately jump to mind.

And, it is His Word that brings enormous comfort, and honorable peace to those who obey it, and meditate on it, day and night, and delights in His law, and ways.  When we do, we shall be like trees planted by the rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in due season, and the leaves won’t wither or die, but will prosper. (Psalm 1:2-5)

It is His Word, which will unravel the mysteries of what constitutes a life filled with reward, and merit, it is from His Word, and law, that will bring about a transformation of joy and delight. The joy and delight, that ultimately overflows, to all those we come in contact with.  But most especially from within our soul, where joy, and comfort take root.

His Word which shall not return void to the Father,  it does what it says its going to do.  It provides a shield, and a defense, so we can stand against the enemies of this world, and it lends way, to a perfect understanding of His will, and purpose, for our life. (Isaiah 55:11)

God, and His promises, and His peace, are there for us to grasp, embrace, claim and proclaim. If we take the time to get to know Him, and His Word, we will begin to live a life that God intended us to live, while we’re here on earth.

Each one of us has a purpose, doesn’t matter how old, what your education is, what your background is, we all have a purpose, according to HIS PLAN, and His will.  And it’s never too late to start, that’s the best part…it’s never too late to accept Him, love Him, and follow Him while here on earth.

When we get to know Him, and run to Him for answers, and realize that we are not “wise in our own eyes,” and that we need to “trust Him for all things” we will experience joy, delight, and His perfect peace, no matter what we’re going through in our life. (Proverbs 3:5-8)

He will guide us, lead us, direct us…and we shall have health and prosperity according to His Word and will.

So the next time you feel the need to speak with someone, I invite you to “open His Book of love” and read His Word…then listen, truly listen to what He has to say, Amen!

“Father God, I delight in Your Word, I delight in Your ways, may I be a delight to You in all I do, each and everyday of my life, in Jesus name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Your Comfort~

The Lord and His Word is a constant in the life of the faithful. We can be assured that He will guide us and show us the path upon which we should walk, and provide light in the darkness, and comfort, during our trials. He is forever, and never will “fade away” as the grass or flowers.  He will never disappear, as the snow does when it melts.  He will never let us down, as “individuals in our life, might at times.”  He is constant. He is forever. And, He is love, and our source of nourishment, and enjoyment. The following verses are just some which tell of His constant unwavering comfort, in which we can take refuge in, as well as in Him, each and everyday of our life.  Amen.

Isaiah 40:8

Things change…but the WORD of God stands forever!  Amen.

It stands forever.

How comforting is that?

40:11-13

He will carry us through it all.  Lay us upon His bosom.  He is there for us.

How comforting is that?

40:21-23

It is He that sits upon the center of the Earth.  He is there always.

How comforting is that?

40:29-31

Strength to the weary, and to the tired.  But, wait for the LORD and gain strength.

How comforting is that?

As it states, the grass withers, the flower fades, but the WORD of the LORD lasts forever.

How comforting is that?

John 14:16

I will ask the Father and He will give you another helper… a Comforter…the Holy Spirit.

How comforting is that?

“Father thank You for comforting us each and every moment of our life, here and now, and for all Eternity, in Jesus name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Breathe Your Breath of Life~

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans 8:9)

Jesus tells us in John 10:10—The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Christians need to latch onto His words and the true meaning of His statement. He wants to give us peace and joy that extends from His promise and experience it fully. Most Christians understand the concept on “paper” but in reality don’t live the promises of Christ. When we attach and align ourselves with Christ—comfort, peace, security and joy overflows.

When the Holy Spirit—also known as the Spirit of Christ—came to live with us He was offering us His continual presence and salvation. The Spirit comes to manifest the presence of Christ, if we accept Him. We develop a relationship with Him that grows in depth on every level and every aspect concerning our lives.

When we let Jesus work through us, and let Him in and become dependent on Him, we will begin to live a purposeful life according to His will. His works will begin to assimilate into our daily life, and the temporal findings of routines become visual tangible promises of our ultimate goal, His kingdom, and eternity.

The more pronounced our belief and submission to Christ, the more likely we are to understand the concept and apply it into practice by being “pro-active” Christians.

“Lord Help your children embrace the Spirit within and go forth for Your glory, in Jesus name. Amen.”

DEAR GOD: He is Faithful, Just say AMEN!~

Paul’s Request for Prayer

1Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 4And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. 5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3-1-5 (KJV)

There is a song —*”Just say Amen!” — and it exalts the LORD for all He has done, is doing, and will continue to do for His children.  And, so it goes, “If anyone here knows He is faithful, Is there anyone here who knows He is able, Just say Amen…”

The song brings tears of joy and hope to the eyes of the faithful, it is a moving and powerful song that gets me every time I hear it…and most of all, it is so true.  Almost everyone has a story to tell and moments that led up to that story, and currently living out that story in heights of glory for the LORD thanks to His grace and love.

Giving Him glory and praise and saying Amen to all He is and continues to be it a joyful and fantastic way of spending our time during our life.  He is the center of all that we are, all that we do, and all that we see, hear, taste, feel and experience.  When we walk with Him and hold onto His ways and listen to His voice, we will be spiritually enacted and react according to the principles of the Word…and Him.

Joyful, Joyful, and so amazing is my Lord and His love for me!

Hold Him in your heart, mind, and soul.  Think of Him and ask Him for guidance in all that you do.

And, think back about what He has done in your life.  When you pray, reflect on your blessings and how He HAS blessed you over and over. Think of the times He has moved mightily in your life…before complaining about “but He isn’t hearing my prayers now.”  No.  That’s not so.  He listens to the cries of His children.  He knows our needs.  And, He does hear always.   It has to be in His time, and according to His will.

So, think back to all He has done for you, or someone you love or know.  And, then realize that He is there for us always and always will be…just be patient and continue giving Him praise, glory and obedience in reflection of His love and His will.

“Thank You Lord, I know You are able, and You are faithful, and You are mighty and You are powerful, and thank You for Your steadfast love, endurance and compassion, I love You now and always, in Jesus name, Amen.”

From: ***“Say Amen” was penned by Jason Cox, Kenna West and Michael Farren, and it’s the first release on the group’s latest project, “Unashamed.” The song debuted at Number 4 on the MusicToRadio Top 100 Chart in April and then moved to the Number 2 position on the MusicToRadio Top 100 real time charts for the month of May.

DEAR GOD: Inherent Heirs by Your Grace~

Galatians 3:26 NASB

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

One of the fundamental aspects of Christianity is that when we are born again we become sons/daughters of God. And a transformation of many levels takes place, and we become firmly planted in the roots of His Spirit; And thereby gaining insight, and access, to His guidance, love, and direction, in all that we do, or undertake. We are by the “grace of God” given the blessed gift of becoming “Heirs” to His throne, and Kingdom.

Romans 8:15 15 (KJV)    For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

When we cry out Abba Father” we are offering ourselves fully to the LORD and expressing our belief and honing our faith in His Sovereign Omnipotence.  And we are establishing our “inherent” rights as children of God. But most of all, we are expressing our LOVE for the Lord in the most intimate apparent fashion, from our full capacity, heart, mind, body and soul. Amen.

Gaining the fortitude to do all things according to the Spirit means to allow the Spirit to take control.  To allow the Spirit to guide us, lead us, inform us, direct us, touch us, and “heal us” in Jesus name.

Being a Christian can be challenging at times, as we are subject to “mocking and prosecution” from individuals who are not followers, or perhaps have a small belief but not full enough to embody the true homogenous acclimation of the Spirit.  But, I am delighted to know that during times of grief, and adversities, I am covered by the blood of Christ who gave us full redemption to those who believe and who have been born again.

As Jesus said in Matthew  5:11- 12—“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12“Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

“Father thank You for Your love, Your blood, Your faithfulness, and all Your provisions that You give to us, Your children, I love You, and I thank You in Jesus precious name, Amen.”

********************************

Ephesians 1:5 NASB —He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, It is the Father’s intention that we know and enjoy the privileges and the sense of belonging that is inherent in being a part of the family of God. However, the Lord knew that it would be difficult for a person to truly believe that one can be adopted as a child of God, so, He sent the Holy Spirit to testify to us, to give us the confidence to cry out “Abba! Father!”

*************************

Romans 8:16-17 NASB —  (26) The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, (17) and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. An adopted child receives the un-revocable privilege of participating in the will and testament of the parents. He becomes an heir of all that the parents have. So, it is by adoption that we become heirs of the Father.

DEAR GOD: Another Day of Loving You~

Luke 10:27 –

And he answering said,

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul,

and with all thy strength,

and with all thy mind;

and thy neighbour as thyself.

We Know love covers a multitude of Sins.

(1 Peter 4:8 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.)

There are so many different types of love.

Romantic love for our spouse/significant other.

Love for our brother or sister.

Love for our parents.

Love for our fur babies.

Love for our Country.

Love for our neighbor.

Love for the downtrodden and homeless…it goes on and on.

And, the most important love of all is LOVE FOR OUR FATHER.

John 14:15 – If ye love me, keep my commandments.

When we express kindness, compassion and forgiveness to others we are shining our inner light and following Christ. Staying with His commandments is an overt admission of our deep devotion and love for Him.

With each new day comes a renewal of heart and another day for another chance to express our devotion to the LORD.  No matter how dark the night is, the “light” will come in the morning.  The darkness cannot hide from the LIGHT…which will always be with us, indicative of His presence and love for us.

John 14:23-24 – Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

When we are in compliance with His Word and His ways we are “one with Him” and inasmuch He lives “in us.” When we are unkind to someone, be it through a harsh word or action the Spirit grieves.  Each one of us is a reflection of Christ…and what we do to someone, we are doing to Him.

1 John 4:19 – We love him, because he first loved us.

He came looking for us all those years ago.  He loved us before we knew Him…He loved us before we were born…He loves us even though we are sinners.  He loves us more than anyone in our lifetime or beyond.

So when the sun comes up in the morning, sing a song of praise to Him!

Shout His name and exalt Him to the highest!

Tell Him you love Him!

And, then show Him how much you love Him by loving others through Him!

“Father thank You for this new day and everyday that I rise, may I be an example to all I come into contact with, may my inner light shine to those in the dark, and may my love for You be expressed all day, everyday, today and always, in Jesus Christ name, I love You, Amen.”

John 17:24 – 17:26

 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am;

that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me:

for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it:

that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

DEAR GOD: I Love Your Word and Precepts~

Psalm 119:97 97

Oh, how I love your law!

I meditate on it all day long.

“Oh that doesn’t matter any longer…that was so long ago…”  Sound familiar?   So many people labor under the misapprehension that the Bible, the very Word of our LORD is no longer valid.  They might feel it is an ancient way of thought and rule.  But, they are sadly mistaken, for God is the same today as He was thousands and thousands of years ago when He first created the world.

He still loves us unconditionally.

He still is in control on His throne.

He still has the final say in all matters.

He still doesn’t approve of lying, gossiping, stealing, adultery, bestiality or murder…and a host of many other things that are in the Bible.

What causes this confusion? — I would say that it is because the new Testament is about Jesus and His ministry and our salvation due to His sacrifice.  So, yes…Jesus dying for us changed us from sinners to offering eternal salvation, if we choose Him as our LORD and Savior.

We no longer have to do blood sacrifices, or be fearful of walking into His house of worship and boldly approach His throne, Christ made a clear path for us by way of the “cross.”

But, each Word of the Father, from beginning to end tells a story of Creation and mankind.  It tells what happened and what was and is to come.  It tells us how to live, how to be successful, how to continue to prosper, and how to gain entry into His Kingdom.

It tells us how to love, it teaches us about love, and it tells of the most incredible love of all time, Jesus Christ, and God who sent Him.  Offering Him as a way to be connected to us forever.  Sacrificing His only begotten Son for us, so that whomever believes, shall have eternal life.  THAT IS LOVE!

So, when someone tells you, “Nah, I don’t believe in that law…it doesn’t pertain any longer, that was so long ago…”  You can tell them in no uncertain terms, “Um-I think you missed the message, maybe go back and read from the beginning, line by line, precept by precept…and perhaps the LORD will impart His wisdom to open your eyes and ears, you only need ask, and it shall be given!  Amen!

=====

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

1 Timothy 1:8-11

DEAR GOD: Postive Influence and Humility~

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away, Likewise ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder.

Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time.

I Peter 5:4-6

When around others, do people tend to think of you as a “positive influence” and “role model?”  Or do they steer clear of anything you have to say, or do?

Are you one of the “friends” people can count on through thick and thin, irrespective of the circumstances?  Do you offer up sage advice and provide a cloak of humility when sharing the Word or thoughts of life?

Take for example Hezekiah who had a positive influence on the people of Judah.  He fully understood that if things were to improve, then the people had to set things right with the LORD.  It hasn’t changed today my friends.

In fact, we need to set things right with the LORD more than ever due to the turbulent and virulent happenings in the world. All signs of the times as stated in Revelation…it truly is a time to come forward and hold on to our faith.

Today if things aren’t going well for you, or your family, repent, and get right with the Father. Things will get better when you do.

Jesus always encouraged us in the gospel to be a good influence on others, to set examples, spread the Gospel, and to follow the Father in all we do. Exude humility, and let it drape over you in your countenance, and actions…it will become a soothing balm to all you encounter in your daily journeys of life.

Humble yourself and be exalted; exalt yourself, and prepare to be abased, or brought low by our Father above. Humility is the essence of a universal language that transcends time, it uplifts, it encourages and it pleases our Lord Almighty greatly.

When we meditate on His Word, follow His light by example, and obedience, and offer ourselves willingly to fulfill the purpose of His will for our life, we are clothing ourselves with powerful weapons of defense.  And it is a bold statement to the “enemy” that we are following One Master only.

Resist the enemy, embrace your faith, don’t allow the world to influence you, stay within the confines of our Father, and be prepared for a successful life, to be followed by rewards after we are through here on earth, our crown as we enter eternal bliss with our Father in Heaven. Amen.

“Father God, may I always be an example of hope, encouragement, light, and support to those in need, to those hurting, and to those who need love, I humble myself to You Father God, today, tomorrow, always and forever, in Jesus Christ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Praise You and Praise You Always~

Psalm 86:12 12

I will praise you, LORD my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.

Sitting in my car waiting for my husband to finish an errand, I watched people come and go.  Most of the people had cell phones in their hands, texting and walking, and this was more prevalent among the “younger set” but still it was evident that all ages were guilty of the same “addiction.”

I’m not saying anything “against texting” — except when driving—but it had become somewhat of a serious addiction for many.  My sister is one of the “guilty ones” who seems to send me about 100 texts a day!  And, I have many friends who are in the same category.

As for me…I have no interest in texting beyond the “norm” just to say hello, perhaps inform an individual of something special happening, or ask for a prayer.  I’m really not a fan of social media, in fact, I shy away from it.

It’s amazing how addicted the world is with social platform.  Again…not saying anything about this other than it is an addiction for many.  If only some of those highly addicted with this tendency would turn “this toward the LORD” and in its place give Him Praise Praise and more Praise.

I suppose many do a lot of Praising to the LORD during the day, and ostensibly, many do not.  I pray that these individuals would turn more of their attention toward the One who matters…The LORD Almighty.

God still delivers, He still calms the stormy seas,  He still does it all!

He is our Captain.

He is our Rock.

He is our Everything.

Praise to the LORD, He still does it all.

He still delivers.

Try putting down your cell phones for a moment and spend some of your time with the One who loves you more than anything or anyone in this world.  Go on, make HIS DAY!

“Dear LORD, thank You for being in control at all times, thank You for being my Rock, thank You for doing it all, and thank You for still loving me, no matter what, big or small, You sill do it all, and You still deliver!  Thank You, in Jesus name, Amen.”
