DEAR GOD: Trusting You Beyond Our Uncertainty~

Trusting in God's Purposes - Day 3 of 6

 

Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

 

Uncertainty exposes our deepest loyalties. When the path blurs, we discover whether we serve control or surrender. Trusting God asks us to release the illusion that understanding equals safety. It shifts the center of gravity from our limited reasoning to His faithful character. The heart learns that obedience is not intellectual defeat; it is relational alignment—placing our weight on Someone steadier than our questions.

Following God is less about perfect clarity and more about faithful direction. We move with what we have: enough light for the next step, not the whole road. In that movement, the soul becomes honest—naming fear, pride, and the craving to manage outcomes—and invites God’s presence into those fault lines. We do not tidy ourselves to earn guidance; guidance meets us precisely where we are willing to be led.

Intellect is not the enemy of faith; isolation is. Understanding thrives when tethered to humility. We study, we ask, we reason—but we let Scripture, prayer, and lived obedience interpret our evidence. Over time, trust becomes a practiced posture: “I don’t know everything, but I know Him enough to take the next step.”

Some people live with a constant sense of uncertainty. They work hard, care for their families, and seek wisdom in books and traditions, yet the idea of following God seems foreign to them. 

Some say, “How can we trust what we cannot see?” Others whisper, “Faith feels like stepping into darkness.” And sadly they cling to their own reasoning, but their hearts remain restless.

The answer to restlessness? – The LORD
The answer for chaos?            – The LORD
The answer for everything?  -The LORD

Where in your life are you clinging to your own understanding, and how might surrendering to God bring peace to your uncertainty?

Ways To Get Closer to the LORD

  • Scripture immersion:
    • Anchor text: Choose one passage (e.g., Psalm 23, John 15) and live with it for 30 days—read, reflect, and pray it daily.
    • Application note: Identify one small obedience the text invites today and do it before noon.
  • Prayer of surrender:
    • Daily practice: Begin each morning with, “Lord, I release control of outcomes; lead me step by step.”
    • Evening examen: Review your day; where did you trust God, and where did you grasp for control?
  • Obedience in small steps:
    • Micro‑commitments: Tie faith to actions: apologize, forgive, give, serve, rest, tell the truth.
    • Consistency over intensity: Choose one habit (weekly worship, daily prayer, generous giving) and make it non‑negotiable.

Closing reflection

Faith does not erase uncertainty; it re‑positions it under God’s care. When we cannot see the whole, we choose to trust the One who holds it all. In that choice—again and again—the soul learns the quiet strength of following. The heart learns to love the LORD more and more – and our spirit rejoices in growth and depth as we broaden our connection and roots in Christ!

“LORD Almighty, we lift up all who read this prayer. For those wrestling with doubt, grant courage. For those weary with uncertainty, grant peace. For those who feel far from You, draw them close. Straighten the paths of every heart that longs for clarity, and pour out wisdom, strength, and hope. May Your Presence transform confusion into trust, and fear into faith. DEAR GOD: You Are My Strength For The Heights~

“The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.” — Habakkuk 3:19 (NLT)

Habakkuk lived in a time of turmoil, surrounded by injustice and uncertainty. Yet he closes his prophecy with a declaration of trust: God Himself is his strength. This verse paints a vivid picture—God equips us like a deer, steady and agile, able to climb treacherous heights without stumbling.

It reminds us that faith is not about avoiding difficult terrain, but about being empowered to walk through it. The “heights” symbolize challenges, responsibilities, and spiritual battles that feel overwhelming. Alone, we falter. With God, we are steady.

This obscure verse is a hidden gem—it teaches us that God doesn’t just remove obstacles; He strengthens us to overcome them. Our footing is secure not because the path is easy, but because His presence makes us unshakable.

DEAR GOD: We Love The Transforming Power of Truth in John 1 7:17

Putting on the Belt of Truth (Ephesians 6:14a)

John 17:17 — “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” — is part of Jesus’ high priestly prayer, spoken on the eve of His crucifixion. In this verse, Christ intercedes for His disciples, asking the Father to sanctify them, to set them apart for holy purpose, through the truth of God’s Word.

The word sanctify carries the sense of consecration — being made holy, purified, and dedicated to God’s service. Jesus does not ask for His followers to be removed from the world, but rather to be strengthened and transformed within it. The means of this transformation is not human effort alone, but the living truth of God’s Word.

Truth here is not abstract philosophy, but the very essence of God’s revelation. Scripture is described as the ultimate standard of truth because it flows from the character of God Himself, who cannot lie. To be sanctified “through truth” means that the Word of God penetrates the heart, reshaping desires, correcting falsehoods, and aligning the believer’s life with divine reality.

This verse also underscores the protective power of truth. In a world filled with deception, half-truths, and shifting values, God’s Word is the anchor that keeps His people steady. Sanctification is not a one-time event but a lifelong process, where the Spirit applies the Word to the believer’s daily walk. Each act of obedience, each surrender to God’s truth, deepens holiness and strengthens witness.

Ultimately, John 17:17 reminds us that sanctification is both a gift and a calling. It is God’s work in us, yet it requires our cooperation — listening, obeying, and allowing His Word to shape us. In this way, believers are not only preserved from corruption but also empowered to shine as lights of truth in a darkened world.

Fully Equipped: The Living Power of Scripture in Our Daily Walk

In a world of shifting values and uncertain voices, this passage from 2 Timothy offers a timeless anchor. Paul, writing to his spiritual son Timothy, reminds us that scripture is not merely a historical record or poetic inspiration—it is divinely breathed, alive with purpose, and essential for spiritual maturity.

Together let’s gently unpack what each phrase is telling us:

  • “All scripture is given by inspiration of God” — The Greek word for “inspiration” here is theopneustos, meaning “God-breathed.” This affirms that scripture is not man’s invention but God’s revelation. It carries His breath, His essence, His authority. Whether it comforts, convicts, or clarifies, it is infused with Divine life.
  • “Profitable for doctrine” — Scripture teaches us truth. It shapes our understanding of who God is, who we are, and how we are called to live. Doctrine is not cold theology—it’s the warm framework that holds our faith steady.
  • “For reproof” — Scripture lovingly confronts us. It shines light on error, not to shame us, but to guide us back to truth. Reproof is a sacred act of love—a Divine nudge toward alignment.
  • “For correction” — Beyond pointing out what’s wrong, scripture offers the path to restoration. It doesn’t leave us broken; it rebuilds us. Correction is the gentle hand of the Shepherd, redirecting our steps.
  • “For instruction in righteousness” — Scripture trains us in Holy living. It’s not just about avoiding sin—it’s about cultivating virtue, walking in peace, and embodying grace. It teaches us how to live as citizens of Heaven while walking on earth.
  • “That the man of God may be perfect” — The word “perfect” here means complete, mature, whole. Scripture is the tool God uses to shape us into vessels of His glory—not flawless, but faithful.
  • “Thoroughly furnished unto all good works” — Scripture equips us. It’s our spiritual toolkit, preparing us to serve, love, advocate, and build. Whether we’re caregiving, discerning legacy transitions, or offering devotional encouragement, scripture supplies what we need.

In today’s context, this verse reminds us that scripture is not outdated—it’s our daily bread. It speaks into caregiving routines, financial stewardship, legacy decisions, and ministry outreach. It helps us discern sanctuary-like spaces, advocate with dignity, and release tension through spiritual clarity. It is the voice that steadies us when the world feels and sounds loud.

“LORD – thank You for Your Word—alive, Holy, and healing. Breathe fresh understanding into our hearts today. Let scripture be our compass, our comfort, and our courage.  This verse is a balm for the soul—especially for those, like you, who are seeking a home not just of walls and windows, but of sacred quiet and spiritual anchoring. Isaiah speaks of a divine promise: not just safety, but quiet safety. Not just shelter, but rest. It’s a vision of peace that transcends noise, turnover, and uncertainty. For every map you’ve drawn, every area of life concerning decisions, or faced incomparable odds, and things in general you’ve considered, this verse affirms that God sees your longing—and has prepared a place where your spirit can truly exhale.

DEAR GOD: Your Plans & Love Are My Main Focus~

Do you sometimes feel like you wish you could really speak to Jesus at a gathering? I mean, we know that He has assured us, “where two or three are gathered, there I will be in the midst” – and of course we know that to be true.  However – sometimes the thought of Him sitting at a dinner with us, or sitting alongside us on a bench – would be beyond anything anyone can imagine, don’t you agree?  

We Have Victory Through Christ!

In the future – when we’re called home – we won’t have to imagine any longer, cause it will become a reality, one in which we can barely grasp in our human minds at this time. But suffice it to say, for the followers of Christ – it will be our “permanent home” one day.  Until such a day and time – how “do we speak to Jesus?”  How do we commune with Him?  Below is some of the ways to being “in touch” with Him:

  • Read His message/Word :  Communicating with Him this way is an intimate way of being “one” with Christ. We adhere to His doctrine, His gospel. And we hold fast to His promises.
  • Be an example: Representing Jesus in all facets of our lives. By showing compassion, understanding. Recognizing those in need, and helping. Promoting encouragement to others, while offering the Word offering seeds and wisdom.
  • Meditating: Sitting alone – praying quietly while “listening” actively for what He wishes to express to us. Sometimes, we need to sit and “listen.”  Without saying one words, or having one thought. Just our eyes and heart focused on Him.
  • Put Him First: By placing Him above all things, and everyone else – we are solidifying our love and trust and faith in Him and Him alone. Him first. Everything else second.

We Have Victory Through Christ!

Our life as it is – is truly just a temporary journey. We are here for a purpose, and the purpose of our life is according to His will.  We are here to do a job for the LORD and to carry ourselves as Christians, with respect for the Holy Spirit that resides in each one of us, and to “listen and act” according to that will and purpose so designed by the LORD for each one of us. 

We have Victory Through Christ!

When we encounter things of “this world” we can be jarred, albeit temporarily – because our LORD will carry us through and place us on the path of righteousness, when we are for Him, and with Him. And honestly – who would want to be on any other path than the one that leads straight to Him?

So although many of us wonder, “what it would be like to sit with Jesus openly” -we know that is a distant reality one day – so for now – keep doing all according to His beautiful plan, and promote His glory, while staying faithful to Him with every single breath we breathe, each and every second of our days and nights!

🕊️ In Loving Tribute: Jennifer’s Homegoing

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.“

Romans 8:18 (KJV)

On July 31, 2025, our beloved sister in Christ, Jennifer, stepped peacefully into the eternal embrace of her Savior. Her life was a radiant testimony to the power of humility, faith, and selfless love. She did not merely speak of Christ—she lived Him. As a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sibling, chaplain, and cherished friend, Jennifer poured herself out for others, never seeking recognition, only grace.

Her days were marked by quiet service and unwavering devotion. She comforted the brokenhearted, prayed over the weary, and gave generously to all who crossed her path. Her hands were never idle, her heart never closed. She embodied:

“She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.” Proverbs 31:20 (KJV)

Her faith was not seasonal—it was steadfast, rooted in the Word and watered by prayer. Jennifer’s legacy is not measured in years, but in the lives she touched and the light she carried. Though she went home “before her time,” we trust in God’s perfect timing, knowing:

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15 (KJV)

Her departure leaves a sacred ache, but also a holy reminder: this world is not our home. She lived with eternity in view, and now she rests in the presence of the King of kings.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

  • Jennifer’s life calls us to pause and reflect:
  • Are we ready to meet our Creator and King of kings?
  • If we passed on today, would we be at peace with the LORD?
  • Do we have an intimate relationship with Him?
  • Are we in the Bible daily, seeking His face and walking in His truth?Let us not delay. Let us live as Jennifer did—with humility, compassion, and unwavering faith.

“LORD -We thank You for the life of Your beloved daughter Jennifer, who walked in grace, served with humility, and reflected Your love in every breath. As she now rests in Your presence, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life through Christ Jesus. Comfort those who mourn her absence and stir our hearts to live as she did—with compassion, devotion, and unwavering faith. May we seek You daily, abide in Your Word, and prepare our souls to meet You face to face. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.”

These things above all else – “Trust in the LORD, and embrace His Word, accept Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior – and walk in His ways and align with the Truth – And He promises us Eternal Rewards – Amen

Why the Great Commission is Essential for Every Christian?

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” —2 Peter 3:9

The Gentle Waiting of God: Our Commission, Our Daily Obedience

In the quiet moments of our lives—those spaces between longing and fulfillment—God waits. Not with impatience or frustration, but with a love so deep and enduring that it stretches across generations, circumstances, and even our resistance. His patience is not passive; it is purposeful. It is the divine rhythm of grace, calling us gently, persistently, into alignment with His will.

We are here not by accident, but by divine appointment. Each breath we take is a reminder that we are commissioned by the Lord to reflect His glory, to walk in His truth, and to extend His love to a world aching for redemption. Our lives are not our own—they are vessels of His mercy, instruments of His peace, and testimonies of His faithfulness.

The commission of the Lord is clear: to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love others as ourselves. To go into all the world and make disciples, yes—but also to abide. To dwell daily in His Word, to seek His face in prayer, and to surrender our plans for His perfect will. Obedience is not a burden—it is a love response. It is the daily yes to the One who waited for us, who waits still, and who will never stop pursuing our hearts.

God’s waiting is not weakness—it is strength cloaked in compassion. He waits for the prodigal, for the weary, for the doubting. He waits for us to trust Him enough to let go. And in that waiting, He teaches us to wait too. To wait on His timing, His provision, His healing. To wait with hope, not despair. With faith, not fear.

To abide in His Word daily is to anchor ourselves in truth. It is to drink deeply from the well that never runs dry. It is to be reminded, again and again, that we are loved, chosen, and called. And in that abiding, we find the courage to obey—not out of obligation, but out of adoration.

Eternal Truth: 

The Hebrew word for “true” here — emeth — implies faithfulness, reliability, and certainty. It’s not simply factual truth, but life-altering truth, the kind that grounds souls and reshapes hearts.

Christianity Today & the Call to Diligence

Christianity today stands at a crossroads — between comfort and conviction, between cultural conformity and spiritual courage. In a world of instant gratification, the call to diligence feels countercultural. Yet Scripture is clear: those who earnestly seek God, obey His commandments, and labor in love will be richly rewarded — not just materially, but spiritually, eternally.

 Modern Challenges

  • Many believers face spiritual fatigue, distracted by politics, consumerism, or digital overload.
  • Churches sometimes prioritize entertainment over discipleship, leading to shallow faith.
  • The Word is often diluted to avoid offense, rather than proclaimed with bold love.

How We Should Act

  • Study the Word daily — not out of obligation, but out of hunger for truth.
  • Live with integrity — in business, relationships, and private moments.
  • Serve sacrificially — caring for the poor, the elderly, the lonely, and the voiceless.
  • Speak truth in love — not with judgment, but with clarity and compassion.
  • Pray without ceasing — anchoring our lives in divine wisdom and strength.

 What We Can Expect

  • In the years to come, faithful Christians may face increased opposition — but also deeper revival.
  • The diligent will be spiritually nourished, even when the world grows barren.
  • Into eternity, those who walk in obedience will receive the crown of life, eternal fellowship with Christ, and the joy of hearing, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

“LORD- God, You are the rewarder of those who diligently seek You. Teach me to labor not for fleeting gain, but for eternal glory. Strengthen my heart when the path is long, and renew my mind when the world distracts. Let my obedience be joyful, my service be sincere, and my love be bold. May I never grow weary in well-doing, knowing that in due season, I shall reap. Prepare me not just for the days ahead, but for the eternity You’ve promised. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
