Ruth 2:12 (KJV) “The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”

This verse captures the tenderness of God’s protection. Ruth, a foreigner, stepped into a land she did not know, carrying grief, uncertainty, and the weight of starting over. Yet Boaz recognized her courage and her trust in the God of Israel. This is the beauty of divine refuge: God sees every sacrifice, every quiet act of faith, every trembling step forward. There is a holy pursuit woven into this verse — a calling not to chase the world, but to chase the heart of God. Scripture doesn’t say stumble into righteousness or occasionally consider mercy. It says follow after them. Pursue them. Make them the direction of your life.

To follow after righteousness is to desire what God desires. To follow after mercy is to treat others the way God has treated you — with compassion, patience, and grace.

And the promise is breathtaking: those who chase God’s ways will find life, righteousness, and honor.

Not the kind of “life” the world offers — temporary, fragile, performance‑based — but the kind that fills the soul with purpose, peace, and divine strength. Not the kind of “honor” that fades with applause — but the honor that comes from walking in step with the Lord, pleasing Him, and reflecting His character.

This verse reminds us that the blessings of God are not random. They are connected to the posture of our hearts. When we choose righteousness over compromise, mercy over bitterness, obedience over convenience, we step into the flow of God’s favor.

And the beauty is this: We don’t follow righteousness alone. The Holy Spirit empowers every step. Mercy is not something we manufacture — it’s something we receive from God and then extend to others.

As we pursue Him, He shapes us. As we walk with Him, He transforms us. As we follow His ways, He leads us into the fullness of life He always intended.

This is the path that brings honor — not from people, but from the Lord Himself.

As a New Year begins, many are filled with promises of what is to come. Some are more than happy to leave the “year behind.”  Perhaps it was a sad year, you had to say goodbye to a loved one. Or something happened unexpectedly that changed your life forever. It only takes a second for a life to be changed. 

Maybe some of you had a beautifully blessed year – like an addition to your family, or some of you married, welcomed a first baby!  Some of you were healed from a terminal illness. Some of you saw things for the first time, and perhaps the best of all- Many of you found Jesus Christ and accepted Him as LORD and Savior of your life overall! Amen! and Amen!

Whatever happened last year, or “did not happen” God was with you through it all. Even when it seemed that He didn’t show up. He did. Sometimes He is silent. And that silence can be deafening to those waiting for an answer, or guidance. But sometimes that “silence is His answer.”  He works behind the scenes. He is sorting out all of the details in your life, meticulously, and lovingly. But He is there, nonetheless.

So, as we all welcome in another year – 2026 – we let us give thanks for all things and for seeing another year.

We look forward to serving you humbly and longingly and acquiescing to your will Father God! Stay in His Word – because that is a good place to be. It is our answer to all of life and how to live in this world. It is the reason to be alive, and it is the reason we ARE ALIVE.  Every day in His Word is a good day, because Jesus Christ is the LIVING WORD.

“LORD, as we look to Your Word, we hold fast to the promise of Psalm 46:1: ‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.’ May Your Presence steady every step, calm every fear, and fill this season with Your peace that passes all understanding. This passage reminds us that true blessing is not found in worldly approval, but in the quiet joy of walking with God, listening to His voice, and letting His Word shape every step.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of Your Word that brings light to our path and peace to our hearts. Teach us to turn away from voices that lead us astray, and to find our delight in Your truth. Plant us deeply by Your living waters, that we may bear fruit in season and reflect Your love to others.   The Gentle Power of Trusting God’s Timing

There is something tender in this verse—something that turns the ache of waiting into a holy invitation. Not only do we wait for the Lord, but He waits for us. He waits to be gracious. He waits to pour out mercy. He waits to be exalted in our lives—not through rushed answers, but through the slow unfolding of His perfect will.

Isaiah 30:18 reminds us that waiting is not punishment. It is preparation. It is the space where grace gathers, where mercy deepens, and where the Lord’s character is revealed. He is not distant or indifferent. He is deliberate. He is near.

This verse also speaks of judgment, not in the sense of condemnation, but of divine discernment. The Lord knows when to act, how to act, and what is best. His timing is not random—it is righteous. And those who wait for Him are called blessed. Not just later, but now. Blessed in the waiting. Blessed in the trusting. Blessed in the quiet surrender.

Psalm 130:5 echoes this heart: “I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.” It’s not just about waiting for change—it’s about waiting in hope. Hope that His Word is true. Hope that His heart is kind. Hope that His mercy is already moving toward us.

Even in Exodus 14:14, we hear the whisper: “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is be still. To hold our peace while He holds our future.

So, if today feels like another quiet stretch of unanswered questions, let it also be a sanctuary. The Lord is waiting to be gracious to you. And you, beloved, are blessed in the waiting.
