DEAR GOD: I Am Rooted In What Endures Forever~

The Grass Withers The Flower Fades But The Word Of Our God Stands ...Being born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and bideth forever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man asthe flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof faileth away, but the Word of the LORD endureth forever. And this is the world which by the gospel is preached unto you.  1 Peter 1:23, 24, 25 (KJV)

These verses should speak directly to our very soul, as this is the substance of which we are to live and abide as Christian followers. The world is corrupt, and filled with so many dark moments, and scenarios, but we are to put on the “incorruptible” which is to say the “WORD” of the LORD.

All things are subject to “perish” – all have a season and time to live here on earth.  The grass, flowers, even automobiles have a time limit until they are no longer useful. But our spirit and being born again is “forever alive” and not subject to death. For it is said, in Romans, 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our LORD.”

We will never “die” we are going on to eternal life once we leave these “flesh bodies.”  But until such time, we need to be diligent in all aspects of our life, in what we do, take on, and choose. We are to be respectful of others, but to adhere to the LORD and His will and commandments, over everything – and everyone.  For He is what matters, and He is the nucleus of our existence.

Peter reminds us that our new life in Christ isn’t fragile or temporary. We were reborn through the incorruptible Word of God, something that doesn’t fade, wrinkle, or wither like human strength does. Everything earthly eventually dries up, but God’s Word — and the life it produces in us — remains steady, eternal, and untouched by time.

This incredible truth is what drives Christians to devotion, worship and passion for our LORD. The fact that His WORD (which Jesus is the living Word – John 1:1) – Incorporate the Word into every detail of life and obey Him with a fiery spirit of devotion.

He came for us, to save us. To redeem us from sin, and to bring us ever lasting life.

  • Those who believe in Him shall never die!
  • Those who drink from His Water, shall never thirst!

No matter how innocent something may seem, if it is NOT of the LORD, don’t fluff it off thinking “oh well it’s harmless, how bad can this be?”  Rather -Instead, turn from it – no matter the consequences, even if it “offends someone” or someone is not in agreement with it.

Jesus said, “anyone who is against us is not of us(Matthew 12:30). And ostensibly, He warns us in Mark 9:40, and Luke 9:50  – “Whoever is not against us is for us.”

Today as you go about your daily activities of living – are you ready to defend and guard your heart, soul and mind in the name of the LORD?

“Father, thank You for giving me a new life that cannot decay or be taken away. Let Your Word take deeper root in my heart, shaping my thoughts, my choices, and my peace. Help me stand on what is eternal, not on what fades. In Jesus name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: From Shadows to Glory—Christ Our Light Forever~

Jesus The Light Of The World Images Fun Express Jesus The Light Of

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.” — Isaiah 9:2 (ESV)

In Christ, the shadows flee. What once loomed as fear, sorrow, or confusion is now bathed in holy light. He does not merely illuminate our path—He is the Light. Every valley of grief, every corridor of doubt, every graveyard of memory is transformed in His presence. The darkness we once knew becomes the backdrop for His glory. We are no longer wanderers in shadow—we are children of light, called into radiant communion with the One who overcame the night.

Supportive Scripture: “For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” — Ephesians 5:8 (ESV)

‘LORD- Light of the world, thank You for piercing the shadows of our lives. Thank You for calling us out of darkness and into Your marvelous light. May we walk boldly, not as those who fear the night, but as those who carry Your radiance within. Let Your light shine through us, illuminating every step and every soul we encounter. In Jesus name, Amen.’

DEAR GOD: We Are Held In Your Hands Forever – Thank You!~

Isaiah 49:16 (KJV)

“Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”

This verse is a tender declaration from the heart of God to His beloved. It’s not just poetic—it’s personal. “I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands” speaks of permanence, of love etched so deeply it cannot be erased.

In ancient times, engraving was a lasting mark, indelible, incapable of being erased- often used to signify covenant or devotion. Here, God tells us that we are not just remembered—we are inscribed into His very Being.

We are etched into Him and His love for us is infallible.

Today, in a world where people feel forgotten, overlooked, or discarded, this verse is a balm. It tells the weary soul: You are not lost. You are not invisible. You are held. Even when life feels like rubble and the walls of our peace seem broken, God sees it all—“thy walls are continually before me.” He watches over what we care about, what we mourn, what we hope to rebuild.

And into Eternity, this verse takes on even deeper meaning. When we stand before Jesus in paradise, we will see the scars on His wrists and hands—marks of love, sacrifice, and victory. And we’ll know: those hands bore our names. We were never forgotten. We were always His!

And shall be forever!

“ Thank You for engraving us upon Your hands—a love so deep it bled for us. When we feel unseen, remind us that You gaze upon us with eternal tenderness. Let this truth anchor our hearts in every storm and every silence. May we live today with the confidence that we are held, watched over, and cherished. And when we meet You face to face, may we fall into those nail-scarred wrists and hands with joy, knowing we were always Yours.  In Your precious name, Amen.”

Here’s a beautiful scripture to embrace and reflect upon as we go to sleep…

Psalm 4:8 (KJV) –“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.”

Psalm 57:8 (NLT)
Wake up, my heart! Wake up, O lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song.

Awakened to Praise

Oh, how beautiful it is to rise and declare the majesty of the Lord! This verse speaks to the stirring of the soul, a call to awaken not just physically, but spiritually—to shake off the heaviness and lift our voices in praise before the dawn. It is a reminder that no matter the trials of yesterday, today is a new opportunity to glorify God. Before the sun graces the sky, let the song of our hearts proclaim His goodness! He is worthy of our unceasing worship, our unshaken devotion, and our unwavering trust.

Lord, I will not let the morning pass in silence. My heart will awaken to exalt You, my spirit will rejoice in Your faithfulness, and my lips will sing of Your mighty works! All creation waits for You, and I will lead the dawn in praise. Hallelujah!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You alone are worthy of my highest praise. I lift my voice to You in thanksgiving, declaring Your goodness before the dawn breaks. Awaken my heart to worship You freely—without hesitation or reservation. Let my soul rejoice in Your Presence, knowing that You are my refuge, my strength, and my salvation. Let my worship rise as an offering to You, a sweet fragrance before Your throne. Lord, be glorified in my life, in my words, and in my song. I surrender to Your will, trusting in Your plan. May Your name be exalted in all the earth! In Jesus’ precious name, I pray, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: We’re Held by Eternal Grace~

The Gift Of God Is Eternal Life HD Jesus Wallpapers | HD Wallpapers ...

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.” John 10:28-30

This passage from John 10:28–30 is a profound assurance of divine security and unity. Jesus promises eternal life to His followers—a gift not based on merit but on grace—and declares that they are safeguarded by His hand. This imagery emphasizes not only the strength of Christ’s hold but also the loving intimacy of being “in His hand.” The verse further highlights the authority and supremacy of God, the Father, who entrusts His children to Jesus, ensuring no power can sever the bond of divine love. The unity of “I and my Father are one” reveals the harmonious and inseparable relationship between Christ and the Father, drawing us into their shared purpose of redemption.

Reflective Questions:

  • How does the promise of eternal life influence your trust in God’s plan?
  • What does being held in Jesus’ hand mean for your daily walk of faith?
  • How can you rest in the knowledge that no power can separate you from God’s love?

Supporting Scriptures:

  • Romans 8:38–39: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, … shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
  • Isaiah 41:10: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: … I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
  • John 14:6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Moral Thoughts: The unwavering promise of eternal life calls us to live with unshakeable faith, courage, and peace. In biblical times, when people endured persecution and hardship, this promise was their anchor. Today, though some challenges differ, the temptation to doubt, to fear, and to feel overwhelmed persists. Yet the assurance of being held in God’s hand remains unchanged—a call to turn from worldly anxieties and dwell instead in His sovereignty and grace.

Loving Tribute to the LORD: In this scripture, we are reminded of the incomprehensible love and strength of the Almighty. The Lord is the Shepherd who never forsakes His sheep, the Rock on which we stand, the Redeemer whose sacrifice ensures eternal life. He is greater than all, the source of all goodness and truth, and the One who unites us to Himself through Christ. What gratitude we owe Him for the gift of salvation, for His eternal hand that protects and sustains us.

Heartfelt Prayer: O Lord, our eternal refuge, We bow before You, humbled by Your love and power. You are the giver of life that never ends, the Hand that holds us firm. In Your grasp, we are secure; no force can snatch us away. You, O Father, are greater than all, and Your unity with Christ renews us daily. Teach us to rest in Your promises, to live boldly in Your truth, And to bring glory to Your holy name in all we do. Thank You for your tender mercy and the eternal covenant You have made with us. To You be all honor, majesty, and praise. Amen.
