The Resonance of Divine Glory

Psalm 29:2 beckons us to “Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.” This verse is a clarion call to recognize the inherent majesty of the Divine, a summons to the soul to rise above the mundane and enter the realm of sacred adoration.

The Essence of Worship

At its core, worship is an act of love, a profound expression of reverence for the Creator. It is not merely a ritualistic practice but a heartfelt acknowledgment of God’s omnipotence and benevolence. The “splendor of holiness” mentioned in Psalm 29:2 is a testament to the pure, untainted essence of divine worship, which is both a privilege and a duty for every believer.

Love Embodied in Praise

To worship in love is to see beyond the veil of the temporal, to touch the eternal. It is to offer praise that is as much an outpouring of the spirit as it is a tribute to God’s glory. The Psalmist understands this intertwining of love and worship, urging us to present ourselves in holiness as we adore the Lord.

Supporting Verses

The Bible is replete with verses that echo the sentiment of Psalm 29:2. Psalm 150:6 exhorts, “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.” This universal call to worship emphasizes that all of creation is meant to participate in the exaltation of God.

In 1 Chronicles 16:34, we are reminded of the enduring love of God: “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” This enduring love is the foundation upon which our worship is built, a love that is reciprocated through our praises.

John 4:24 reveals the nature of true worship: “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Worship, therefore, is not confined to physical spaces or rituals; it is a spiritual journey anchored in authenticity and sincerity.

The act of worship is transformative. It is an encounter with the Divine that leaves us changed, more aligned with God’s will, and more reflective of His holiness. As we ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name, we are, in turn, enveloped in His grace, mercy, and love. When we ascribe to His ways, His Word, and listen to the defining voice of the LORD, we are thereby able to embrace life in a way that we otherwise would not, had we been anything other than a follower of the LORD. With our Almighty Father by our side, and the Spirit dwelling within we are confident and able to accomplish all that we endeavor, and we do so – only through Christ our LORD!

Are You listening to His voice? Do you worship Him in splendor? Do you recognize His profound Presence and Majestic Omnipotence?

“Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You in humble adoration, recognizing Your infinite glory and grace. May worship be a sweet, fragrant offering that honors Your holy name. Teach me and Your children to worship You in spirit and truth, to love You with all every aspect of being and with all our hearts, and to reflect Your holiness in our lives. Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Thank You For Protecting Me~

GOD’S PROMISES OF PROTECTION, HEALING AND DELIVERANCE - HOREMOWNA.ORG

“I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” –Psalm 118:5-6

The passage is from Psalm 118, which is a song of thanksgiving and praise to God for his steadfast love and salvation. The psalmist recounts how God delivered him from his enemies and troubles, and how he trusts in God’s protection and power.

The passage begins with the psalmist calling upon the LORD in distress. This implies that he was in a situation of danger, suffering, or hardship, and that he had no other source of help or hope. He turned to God in prayer, seeking his intervention and mercy.

The passage then says that the LORD answered him and set him in a large place. This means that God responded to his prayer and rescued him from his distress. He gave him a spacious and secure place to dwell, free from the threats and pressures of his enemies. He also gave him room to grow and flourish in his relationship with God and others.

The passage continues with the psalmist declaring that the LORD is on his side, and that he will not fear. This shows that he has a strong confidence and trust in God’s presence and favor. He knows that God is his ally and defender, and that nothing can harm him as long as God is with him.

The passage ends with the psalmist asking rhetorically, what can man do unto me? This implies that he has no fear of human opposition or hostility, because he knows that God is greater and more powerful than any human force. He also knows that God has a good plan and purpose for his life, and that no one can thwart or hinder God’s will.

The passage, therefore, expresses a faithful and joyful attitude towards God, who is the source of deliverance, security, and peace. It also invites the reader to share in the same trust and praise of God, who is faithful and loving to those who call upon him.

When we are followers and faithful to the LORD, we can always count on His protection, provisions, and nearness. He is a steady and constant source of energy. We are infused with His Spirit, and thereby led, and guided on paths of righteousness.

When we study and meditate on His Word and understand His ways, we can then endeavor to be good followers and Christians in all we are and do.

Have you read His Word recently?

“Father, my LORD and Shepherd thank You for Your Presence and Your love, may I be an obedient servant today and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Thank You For My Eternal Rewards~

Psalm 121 (NKJV)

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?

Truly the only One that can help and make a difference in the outcome, whatever it may be, is the LORD. He is the One that is in ultimate control. He is the One that fully can decide an alternate course of action, irrespective of the one that we think is right. He knows what is best for us, always!

My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

He is available 24/7 and is never on vacation. He is there with us through all the good times and bad times. He is unmovable in His strength and determination when it comes to helping His children. He is the One that will “help” and He is the One who remains faithful. He knows what is best for us, always!

 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.

He will guide us through rough terrain and will not let us fall or be left clueless. He will not let us falter at the fork in the road. He will prevent us from the fires of hell when we adhere to His Word, and commandments, and accept His Son as our Savior.  He knows what is best for us, always!

 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

He is in full control of all. He is in full control of what will happen, and what He “ALLOWS” to happen. It is in His plan, His Word. He is at the helm, and He is in the driver’s seat. No one else. Just Him. He knows what is best for us, always!

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

He keeps us safe, and He is our Rock! He is the One that thinks of us as the “Apple of His eye” and won’t have any enemy destroy you. He allows things to transpire, but He can change anything whenever He wants, whenever He wants, and wherever He wants. He knows what is best for us, always!

The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

He watches over us throughout the 24 hours of the day. He guides us in the daylight, and in the nighttime. He doesn’t lapse in His feelings, or His Word. It is solid, strong, and He thwarts our enemy at every turn. He knows what is best for us, always!

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.

He wraps His arms around us as any loving Father would to His children. He is the Omnipotent and Powerful Being that formed us and created our souls. He defeated death, He is victorious over the grave, He is our Savior. He alone is in charge and owns our souls.  He loves us! He knows what is best for us, always!

The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Finally, as He watches, guides, directs, leads us each day of our lives, every step of the way. So too shall He protect us in the Eternity, forevermore. He is the keeper of our souls! He knows what is best for us, always!

Our rewards are waiting for us in the eternity. Christ our Redeemer promises such joy in Heaven, that anything here on earth cannot even come begin to come close to in comparison. We cannot possibly conceive or grasp what the reality will be when we are called home. Trust Him, knowing we will be called home one day, and He surely will welcome us with open arms. Until then, be comforted knowing that the LORD is with us always, and He will never leave us, nor forsake us. How’s that for an amazing God?

“Father, thank You for Your promises, Your eternal and faithful Word,  and Your love and protection, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”

(2 Corinthians 4:7)

The showmanship of bragging was something that always irked my soul. I was never a fan of individuals bloviating/boasting/bragging/loving themselves to the point of ad nauseum, is something I could never tolerate!

Having been blessed to grow up in a family that held strong morals and Christian beliefs, I found it odd when people gave themselves credit for overcoming things, issues, or circumstances, it was just wrong in my eyes!

Can’t they see what we do we do is only because of God and His gifts from above. That we in fact gain wisdom and knowledge through Him and His word? We are not the doers but the vessels in which we do!

Can’t people realize when something of importance is accomplished through our words or actions, that it is in fact, “GOD WHO USED US” for that purpose?

And incidentally, He uses ALL His Children. He doesn’t pick only those with the proper education and experience. Nor does he pick strictly those graduates of the most prestigious theological institutions in the world.  NOPE!

He uses us all for HIS purpose and HIS will for HIS glory.

When we are tuned into the LORD and are ready to serve Him, He will use us according to His plan and purpose for our lives.

We were made by His hands and only He can “fill us to capacity” the likes of which we can be poured out and utilized.

You are His possession—for His purposes—and for His honor.

In His hands, we were fully made and designed. We are completely repaired and highly maintained. We are washed and cleansed (by His most precious Blood) Keep your eyes on the King! Trust Him fully in the process.  Believe in Him without any doubt.

And finally, remember this:

“It’s not what YOU do.

Instead, it is what GOD does through you!

“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and fit for the master’s use, and prepared uno every good work.”

Timothy 2:21

Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, what makest thou?”

Isaiah 45:9
