In days of light and days of night, We lift our praise unto the height. With hearts that sing and voices raise, We glorify the LORD, our praise.

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” – Philippians 4:4

With steadfast love and boundless grace, His light doth shine upon our face. In valleys deep and mountains high, The LORD our God is always nigh.

With every breath and every thought, Thy wondrous works our hands have wrought. In humble prayer and joyful song, We worship thee, to whom we belong.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” –

In these verses, Jesus offers a profound message of comfort and hope to His disciples. Knowing the trials and tribulations they would soon face, He reassures them that their faith in God and in Him will sustain them. Jesus speaks of His Father’s house with many mansions, a metaphor for the Eternal home He is preparing for all believers.

This promise is not only for His disciples but extends to all who place their trust in Him. The assurance of His return to take us to this Divine abode fills our hearts with peace and expectation. As Christians, the anticipation of Christ’s return calls us to live lives of righteousness and love. We are reminded in 2 Peter 3:11:  “Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives.”

Living in the light of Christ’s return means embodying His teachings of love, forgiveness, and compassion. We are called to serve others, uphold justice, and share the gospel. To walk in honor of the LORD displaying behavior befitting of a Christian, living by example shining His light through our inner spirit. Providing a demeanor that is soft, approachable and filled with wisdom from knowing the Word. And being a fountain of information about the Word and His Love for all of us.

Today’s Christians face unique challenges and opportunities in living out their faith. The call to be watchful and prepared is as relevant now as it was in the early church. In a world filled with distractions, maintaining a focus on Christ’s return helps believers prioritize their faith and live with eternal perspectives. As We delve into the Word and meditate and memorize scripture- an amazing transformation comes into play, we grow deeper, more entrenched in the Word – and able to discern readily what is right and what is wrong. We are able to tell who the “false preachers” are and able to detect “what is evil” in the world. Reading the Word, praying, fasting and holding on to our faith during both good times and bad – is a large part of what being a Christian is all about. And doing the work of the Father, in the capacity in which He has “called us” is a huge part of His plan.

“LORD- our Heavenly Father, we thank You for the promise of Your Son’s return. As we await His coming, fill our hearts with Your light and love. Help us to live lives that reflect Your holiness and compassion. Strengthen us to share Your truth and serve those around us. May we always be vigilant and faithful, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.”
