DEAR GOD: Keep Talking To Me-I Hear You

When God Speaks, Do We Listen? - P.I.C.C., Inc. - People In Charge of ...

The Bible is filled with captivating narratives, all depicting God’s unchanging faithfulness in upholding His promises. Let’s explore some of these comforting reassurances. I thought today I’d share some beautiful scripture and God’s Word to help those in need of encouragement in some situation they might be facing, or fighting – or for someone who needs to help a loved one who is in need of God’s love and promises at this very moment.  I know that whenever I open His Word, I hear His voice speaking to me.

D.L. Moody said – “When I pray, I talk to God. When I read the Bible, God talks to me…”  That is the truth, because I do Hear His voice speaking to me as I read. So – when reading the verses I’ve put here today – Listen to His Words – because He is speaking to you!

Promises of Salvation:

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Romans 10:9: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Promises of Eternal Life:

1 John 5:11: “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”

John 11:25-26: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?’”

John 6:47: “Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.”

Promises of Peace and Comfort:

Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.”

Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Promises of Guidance and Wisdom:

Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

Psalm 32:8: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

Promises of God’s Presence:

Deuteronomy 31:6: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Matthew 28:20: “…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Hebrews 13:5: “…God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’”

May these verses remind you of God’s unwavering commitment and love, and that He is still speaking to you this very moment in time – Are you listening?

“Father, thank You for talking to me through Your Word, may I adhere to Your commandments, may I ease into Your way of direction and purpose, and may I always acknowledge You in all I do and say, each day of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: You Are My Umbrella & More~

~Psalm 3:3~
But You, O Lord, are a shield about me,
My glory, and the One who lifts my head.

So, the rain poured down from the Heavens and I reach for my umbrella – and it shields me from harsh elements- and I am protected!

LORD – You are my umbrella of fortune and blessings and I know You are with me in all kinds of weather. In fact, You control the weather patterns, and it “listens” to You!

When we are aligned in God’s word and pull away from the insignificance of the World, and all its ugly enticements – we are assured of rewards to come here and most especially in the eternity.

Some may say, “why can’t I indulge in some pleasurable things – if I’m good and do good things, what’s the big deal?”  Well, it is a big deal if you’re not adhering to His Word and are doing ungodly things that are not favorable in His sight. God doesn’t want His children to partake in insignificant things or indulge in idolatry. Idolatry is anything that takes you away from the LORD and His Word. No matter how small you may think it is, if it’s an abomination in God’s eyes, and not godly – then it isn’t as “small” as you think it is.

Idolatry is not acceptable in His eyes. This can run the gamut from addictions, possessions, materialistic items, anything that leads to the eviction of God in your life.

We need to concentrate on “living” but staying within the confines and parameters of being C child of Christ and living a life that suits Christians.

He is the provider for all our needs and His provisions are never ending, and His love is free flowing. Nothing and no one can compare to His magnificence, and His Omnipotence.

Do you feel God is your umbrella? Can you recall any time in your life where God protected you fully? Do you have idols in your life you need to be rid of?

“Father, thank You for Your continuous Presence in my life, may I always be in obedience to You and Your Word, may I never stray, and if I do – as I am human- please gently guide me back onto Your path of righteousness, as that is the only path I wish to walk upon, in Jesus’ name I thank You, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: I believe In Your Goodness~

THE GOODNESS OF GOD - YouTube

1 Corinthians 15:55 –“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

I really believe that there are more “good” than “bad” in the world. I personally think that the news likes to show sensationalism and not sweet peaceful stories. People tend to seek the “abnormal” more than the “norm.”

A friend of mine was stating how evil everyone is in the world today. She was on a roll that lasted for about 25 minutes. I mean she was going on and on. It was negative and dark and didn’t look like there was any stopping her caustic dialogue. Until I said, “Please-enough!” She stopped on a dime.  I then said, “There is still good in the world. God is good all the time, and all those who follow Him – His light is in them, and they are inherently good.”  She didn’t say anything for a while then realized she was caught up in a negative energy of the prince of the air – and was forgetting about the King of the Universe! The devil likes to whisper and entice you to spread negativity and anger and disgust, and that was my friend. For a moment she was caught up in it.

When we take the time to realize that Jesus is victorious- we can get back on the track of reality. Yes- the harsh reality right now is that the world is in kind of a chaotic mode, and the dark is seemingly overtaking the light. However, Stop! And know that Jesus Reigns Supreme and conquered the grave!  The sting of death – is non-existent! Praise Him! He gets the victory all the time.

We need to reinforce His Word and let it mesh within our being. The Word should be in our brain, heart and soul. It is there to reach and bring us back to the joyous fact that Jesus is King of kings and LORD of lords, and He Reigns forever!

So – if you get melancholy about the sight of the world as it stands, look up and embrace His Word to fill you with inspiration and hope, and courage to face the day and days ahead.

Here are just a few of inspirational verses for you to meditate upon, to give you hope and solidify how Great the Great I AM is! Never forget – The One and only King -and the One we owe our lives and all things!

Remember, no matter how harsh the winds that seem to be blowing in your face, God is there to be a buffer for us. He is the One who controls all things, including the weather, and our breath that we breathe! Amen! Thank You Sweet LORD!

Deuteronomy 20:4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

John 16:33“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Ephesians 6:10 –Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

1 John 5:4 –for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Joshua 10:8 –  The LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.”

Proverbs 21:31The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD.

1 Corinthians 15:57 -But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Father, thank You, I know You are victorious and through Your blood and the name of Christ, I am able to withstand in Your name all things, and know that I am protected by Your promises and Your love and Your grace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Show Me Your Paths~

Path Wallpapers High Quality | Download Free

Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.

Psalm 25:4 (KJV)

When you view a path whether in a picture or in person what do you think or? For me the verse from Psalm 25:4 jumps to mind immediately. And then I visualize how many times the LORD has literally stopped me from turning down a path during my childhood and into my adulthood. So many times, I felt the “pull” that gently guided me in another direction, and that gentle little “gnawing” inside my spirit was God telling me, “Nope! Don’t go there! Turn down that way.” And I knew it was God’s Presence alerting me to do the opposite of what I was going to do.

I’m referring to things like, buying our first home, or going on a highway to take another road, or not attending a function, etc. Things of that nature. That is to what I am referring, little things that could have turned out to be big disasters.

Our first home, had we gone with our original choice would have been a huge mistake! It turns out that house had all kinds of issues, “hidden” issues that cropped up that cost the new owner an additional $25,000 to fix!  So saved there! Thank You my LORD!

Another time we were on a highway and driving at the normal speed limit, and felt the car “literally” come to a full stop and slide over to the shoulder of the road!  It turns out had we continued on that road we would have been involved with a six car accident!  That was divine intervention!  Praise God and His hands of grace.

And there was the time we were supposed to attend a function, and at that last minute my husband developed “diarrhea” and we had to turn around and go back home. Well, at that very same function we were supposed to be in attendance for, the roof of the building collapsed!  Several people were critically injured.  So, once again – Thank You my LORD and God!

We are blessed to have a God who is so caring and loves us with the intensity of no other. When we are in tune with His Spirit and pay attention to the “gentle nudging” and guidance of the LORD we can’t ever go wrong!

The next time you see a path whether in a picture like the one above this article, or in person – think of the verse above. And give thanks to the One and Only Being that loves you, cares for you, protects you, and guides you every step of the way, all the days of your life, and eventually in eternity!

May the LORD continue to guide all your paths, today and always —

“Father, thank You for guiding my paths, and for showing me the way, I am Yours today and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Great Is Thy Faithfulness~

24: Experiencing God’s Faithfulness - Linda Breitman

2 Thessalonians 3:3: “But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.”

This verse reminds us that God is always faithful to his people, even when they face trials and temptations. He will strengthen them and protect them from the enemy’s schemes. When we realize the scope and depth of His love for us -His children, we can literally become overwhelmed by how spectacular He really is.

He brings us through all things and guides us in every scenario of our lives. When we follow Him and read His Word, we see a consistency of true love and a platitude of peace and wisdom will cover us from above.

There isn’t anything that we are going through that hasn’t happened in some way or form to another, and He will never give us more than we can handle, and always—I mean ALWAYS bring us through it and show us a way out. That is our Amazing faithful God!

Lamentations 3:22-23: “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

This verse expresses the hope and gratitude of the prophet Jeremiah, who witnessed the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians. He acknowledges that God’s love and mercy are constant and renewed every day, and that his faithfulness is great even in the midst of suffering. His mercy and tenderness towards us is everlasting and He doesn’t push us away. We on the other hand might push Him away, but He will never go far. He is always right close by waiting for us to “call out to Him” trusting Him in all we do and say. He is never far away. He is close to us and holds us up during trials, and our tears, and celebrates with us during good times. That is our amazing and faithful God!

With each day in front of us – we should acknowledge Him in all we do, give thanks in everything we do, and love Him with each breath we take. He is the reason we are still breathing this very moment. He is the reason for our blessings. He is the reason for the big and small moments in life. And most important, His promises and grace are forever, and our rewards will be plentiful in the eternity when we are called home.  If, we align with His Word, His will, His commandments, and His timing.

Have you read His Word today? Have you acknowledged Him, and just pushed away from the world to say, “Thank You Father, for all You are, and all You continue to be, I adore You, need You, want to please You, surrender to Your will and purpose for my life, I love You immensely, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

If you take the time to pray that to Him and really mean it…you will make His day.

Amen and God Bless~

DEAR GOD: Do We Have To Be Kind To Everyone?

Hoe kan een werkgever mij ontslaan? - Jobat.be

Do we have to be “kind to everyone?”  Well–Not really. It depends on the circumstances and what is happening at that moment in time.

The Bible teaches us to be kind to one another, as God has been kind to us in Christ. Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and a mark of love (1 Corinthians 13:4). Kindness is also a way of showing God’s grace and mercy to others and leading them to repentance (Romans 2:4).

However, the Bible also warns us not to be naive or foolish in our kindness. We should not associate with wicked people who can corrupt us (1 Corinthians 15:33) or cast our pearls before swine who will trample them underfoot (Matthew 7:6). We should also not enable sin or injustice by being kind to the wrongdoers, but rather expose them and rebuke them (Ephesians 5:11, Proverbs 27:5).

Therefore, we need to be wise and discerning in our kindness, and follow the example of Jesus, who was kind to all, but also spoke the truth and confronted the evil. He said, “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” (Matthew 10:16)

Dealing with rude, selfish or unkind individuals really can be challenging and quite stressful.  What I usually do is take a moment, take a deep breath, and ask for guidance from the Holy Spirit as to how I should proceed. God never lets me down!

The LORD will usually guide our paths (Proverbs 3:5-8) when we look to Him and trust Him. God will temper our behavior when we ask for His intercession, when we take time to reflect, and think about how Jesus would act, we will find answers.

Be as gracious as you can be to a point. Be kind in your directives, your responses, but also firm in your belief. Don’t be nasty but be careful in your choice of words that doesn’t encourage the person to continue in their verbal abuse to you.

Sometimes, as Jesus’ said, “shake the dust off and leave” them to their own thoughts and consequences after you try to help. There is nothing more for you to do. It’s up to God to do the rest.

“Lord, may I always be reflective of Your love and kindness, may I know when to leave and how to turn from rude, unkind, and negative people in a respectful Christian way, and may I do all to please YOU, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: I’m Listening—

Listening To God - YouTube

The “voice” of the Lord is clear and apparent to those who “hear” it.  It’s a sheer delight to serve the Lord in all facets of our lives.  When we commit ourselves to Him, our paths become a vestige of honor to Him and all that it applies.  His voice reverberates to those with ears to hear, consider these very words: “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established…” Proverbs, 16:3 (NKJV).

How do we commit our works to the Lord? There are many ways to do so.  Do not merely ask Him to bless what we’ve already done…Instead, commit ourselves and our plans to Him before, during, and after we have done our work. The trust, the commitment and the acknowledgement are all forefronts to our vital plan.  His ways, His thoughts, His actions…translate to “ask Him, trust Him, embrace Him, and acknowledge Him.”  When you do so consequences of all good things will transpire.

Consider a “budding rose.”  The bud is tiny at first.  Eventually, through care, love, and commitment it grows into a beautiful thing… much like our love and relationship with the Lord.  The more effort and time we put into the Lord, the more significant it becomes.  The deeper and more profound it gets.

But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV)

As our Father, God always will act on our behalf.   He acts for our benefit in ways that childlike minds cannot always understand.  As our potter, He ultimately molds us, and shapes us in ways that sometimes will hurt.  But always He deals with us in love.

Take a moment to think about past decisions you’ve made, on your own without the Father’s help or guidance.  How did it work out?  Usually without His voice, or counsel if you will, things usually don’t go the way we’d like.  When we take the time to talk with Him, listen to His voice, and bring Him into the equation of our life the outcome will benefit us.  We may not see it at first, because He sees way down the road.  He sees ALL things before its fruition, and so He knows what is best for us way before we even realize it. We may take years to realize it was good.  Therefore, don’t despair if things don’t happen according to your will.  Remember, His will…not ours.  His plans are perfect, our plans are anything but.  We may be puffed up and think we know what’s best for ourselves.  We need to be humble, and bow to His excellent works…and listen and adhere accordingly.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it…1 Corinthians 9:24 (NKJV).

We can accomplish much in life we don’t have a clear purpose and mission in mind.  The only way to consistency is through the Lord.  We need to take practice in all things, through Him.  Each time we accomplish something we draw higher and nearer to God and our purpose that He has for us.  Our works, our plans, through His alone.  We need to establish our mission in life, through Him.  His voice, His ways, and production will be overflowing in all good things.

Now these things became our examples…Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition…1 Corinthians 106:11 (NKJV).

Everything in the Scripture exists for our example, warning and admonition.  We should note what God’s people did in the past and how God reacted to them in order to move ahead in our own walk of faith.

When we live for God, all things connect in and outside of our very existence.  All things lead to peace and a transitional platitude of higher aspirations in and of Christ.  To hear His voice is to know peace.

To abide by Him is to know love.  To work for Him is to obtain a chiseled image in Christ, that reflects Christ as we uphold His light and shine our own light in His name. Bear witness in all things for Him and accept His will and plans.

Ssh…Listen closely…Do you hear His voice?

“Father, may I do all according to Your will now and always, as our New Year commences, may I grow even deeper in spirituality and resolve to do even more in Jesus’ glorious and powerful name, Amen.”

When His candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness–Job 29:3 (KJV).

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men–Proverbs 22:29 (KJV).

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe–
John 1:7 (KJV).

DEAR GOD: HAPPY NEW YEAR WITH LOVE~

Happy New Year Pictures, Images, Graphics for Facebook, Whatsapp

Psalm 90:12: -“So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”

Anno Domini: This is the Latin term for “in the year of the Lord” or “in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ”. It is used to mark the years after the birth of Christ in the Gregorian calendar, which is the most widely used calendar system in the world today1. Christians can use this term to acknowledge that every year belongs to the Lord and that He is the center of history and time.

Every day is a day with the LORD for those of faith. And certainly, so it goes, every “year” is a day with the LORD.  Of course there is also the verse in which we need to conceive and realize the depth of its content. – 2 Peter 3:8 (KJV)-But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

We are all new creations in Christ (Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new- 2 Corinthians 5:17). So actually, we are new all the time, in Christ.  Firmly holding on to our resolve and our inner convictions of loving God fully and completely, and trying to accomplish, through Christ, all we can to attain those rewards and promises He sets before us in His Kingdom, we look forward to another year to do so!

New Creation: This is the ultimate hope of every Christian that God will make all things new and restore His perfect kingdom on earth. It is the fulfillment of God’s promise to redeem and renew His creation from the effects of sin and death. It is the final and glorious new year that will never end. Christians can live in light of this hope and seek to reflect God’s image and will in their lives.

  • Isaiah 65:17: “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.”
  • Revelation 21:1-: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.”

Think about what more you can do this upcoming year that could have done last year. Is there someone or something you overlooked without awareness? Is there some way you might be able to shine God’s light to someone in need?

“I wish you all a Happy New Year from here in the USA–to all those overseas, and beyond, may God’s light shine in you and through you to all you encounter along the way, may God continue to be a huge Presence in your lives and in your families, and may those who don’t quite know Him, come to realize His love (John 3:16) and just how much He loves us all, in Jesus, name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: You Are My Father of Light & Love~

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning –
James 1:17

He never changes, there is no shadow or room for obscurity. Our Father in Heaven is openly “visible” in all areas of our lives, if we take the time to look and seek.  He is not a vapor or a mere illusion, He is real and perfect in every way.  He is the Father of Light.

James 1:18 -Of His own will begat He us with the Word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of His creatures.

We are His and follow Him and he gives us the knowledge of wisdom and repentance and being a first fruit showing others the way.  The Word and His truth enlightens us, and the Holy Spirit provides the guidance and instruction in the way we ought to live and be an example to others along the way.

James – 1:19 – Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;

If you can follow those three words of advice from James 1:19 – we will be able to provide for others while following the doctrine and tenets of how we can be productive according to the LORD’s will and purpose for our lives. Don’t be double minded, be patient, and understanding. In all we do, do for the LORD.

James 1:20 – For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

There is no connection whatsoever. If you are angry and angry at the world or yourself, or angry all the time…then that is not serving God. We cannot have that type of temperament or attitude and expect God to bless us, nor will we be able to live a fulfilling life here on earth. Or have the LORD be pleased with us. But most especially, cannot do that if we want to walk the path of righteousness and follow God.

Accept the Father of Light and His Gifts He lays upon us from above and adhere to all He wants us to be. When we do this, we can be blessed and live the life worth living.

Walk in the Light and shine, shine, shine…

“Father, thank You for Your love, gifts and will for my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: You Never Let Me Down~

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you-
Joshua 1:5 (NKJV)

God and His glorious Light is always shining down upon us.  His warmth and capacity to love us is beyond our understanding.   And He helps us with anything we may need. He especially helps us through adversity.

Adversity is a benign enough word, but the true course of its meaning can be staggering to many. Most individuals will face trials and adversity at some point in their lives During adversity an individual’s true light and character will be exposed.  It is at that time when the rubber meets the road and true signs of the inner spirit will either emerge…or submerge.  People can disappoint, but God never will.

Recently an issue came to the surface that allowed a snapshot of a person whom I trusted, and respected, to appear… and the snapshot was a gross distortion of what I firmly believed all along.  It was truly an enlightening experience, and a sad one at that.  Without going into details, suffice it to say…it was a great upheaval and a large disappointment.  But I’ve prayed for this individual’s peace of mind, and for strength in the adversity that this person is facing at this time.  I know I have to step back from this person, and it is with a heavy heart I do so, but there is no other recourse.  Because even Jesus said, and whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them” Luke 9:5 (NKJV).

Although this individual disappointed me and let me down—and others may have done the same to all of you reading this post now.  Be of good cheer, know that GOD WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN, and GOD WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT.  For He is the same as He was from the beginning, and still sitting on the throne and in control.  That in itself is reward for our souls and our very foundation of life.

We live in the great day when God is pouring out His Spirit on all believers in Christ, filling them and empowering them to serve Him in holiness and great joy. Have you asked the Lord to fill you today?  Do so, and believe…because when adversity comes calling, you’ll be filled with His Light and peace to help you through.

“Father, thank You for Your unwavering love, promises, and truth, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
