Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”

When Strength Is Not Enough
by C D SWANSON~

There comes a point in every life where human strength reaches its limit. The body grows weary, the mind grows thin, and the heart trembles under the weight of what it cannot carry. This verse reminds us that our limitations are not failures — they are invitations. When our strength ends, God’s begins. When our portion feels small, His portion is infinite. True resilience is not found in the human will alone, but in the quiet surrender that says, “Lord, be my strength where I cannot.” In that surrender, we discover a deeper truth: God is not merely a helper; He is the sustaining force behind every breath, every step, every hope.

“LORD, when my strength falters and my heart feels overwhelmed, be the steady portion that never runs dry. Teach me to lean into Your everlasting strength, trusting that You uphold me when I cannot uphold myself. Let Your presence be my peace, Your power my refuge, and Your love my anchor today.  In Jesus name, Amen.”

THE WORD THAT NEVER FAILS
by C D SWANSON~

There is a profound stillness that settles over the soul when we remember that every word of God is pure. Not some words. Not the comforting ones only. Not the verses we lean on in crisis. Every word — flawless, refined, trustworthy, eternal.

In a world overflowing with opinions, theories, and shifting philosophies, the Bible stands alone as the one source that does not need revision, correction, or improvement. Human wisdom ages. Cultural ideas fade. Scientific theories evolve. But the Word of God remains untouched by time, untouched by error, untouched by decay.

We chase knowledge, fill shelves with books, and search for answers in countless places — yet the greatest truth is that the answers we seek have already been spoken. Scripture is not merely informative; it is transformative. It does not simply teach; it reveals. It does not merely advise; it anchors. It does not simply inspire; it shields.

The Bible is not one book among many. It is the only book breathed by God Himself. It is the one voice that cuts through confusion. It is the one truth that stands when everything else collapses. It is the one foundation that cannot be shaken.

When we feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or lost, we don’t need a thousand sources — we need one. The Word of God is enough. It has always been enough. It will always be enough.

Lord, thank You for Your perfect and unchanging Word. Teach me to rest in its purity, trust in its promises, and build my life upon its truth. Let Scripture be my shield, my guide, and my steady place when the world feels uncertain. Give me a heart that hungers for Your voice above all others, and a spirit that finds peace in the knowledge that Your Word is all I need. May Your truth shape my days and strengthen my faith. Amen.

DEAR GOD: My Eyes Are On You~

Psalm 16:8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With Him at my right hand ...

“Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.” — Psalm 25:15

Keeping Your Eyes on the LORD
by C D SWANSON

There is a quiet power in this verse—a steadying force that speaks directly into the swirl of modern life. David isn’t describing a casual glance toward God; he’s describing a fixed gaze, a deliberate anchoring of attention. In a world that constantly pulls our focus in a thousand directions—notifications, worries, responsibilities, expectations—this verse calls us back to a singular center.

To keep our eyes on the LORD is to choose where our inner vision rests. It means refusing to let fear become our reference point. It means refusing to let circumstances dictate our peace. It means refusing to let the “nets” of life—stress, confusion, temptation, discouragement—define our direction.

David’s confidence is not in his ability to escape the net. His confidence is in the One who plucks him out. That word is active, intentional, rescuing. God does not merely watch us struggle; He intervenes with purpose. He sees the traps we don’t see. He knows the snares we walk into unknowingly. And when our eyes are fixed on Him, we are positioned to receive His guidance, His correction, His deliverance.

Today, keeping your eyes on the LORD might look like pausing before reacting. It might look like choosing prayer over panic. It might look like remembering His character when your emotions are loud. It might look like trusting His timing when everything feels delayed. It might look like surrendering the outcome instead of trying to control every detail.

This verse is not about perfection. It’s about direction. It’s about where your gaze returns when life pulls you off balance. And the beautiful truth is this: every time you lift your eyes back to Him, He meets you with mercy, not judgment. With help, not shame. With rescue, not rejection.

Lord, steady my heart and fix my gaze upon You.
When distractions rise, draw my eyes back to Your truth.
When fear whispers, remind me of Your faithfulness.
When I feel trapped, reach down and lift me out.
Teach me to trust Your timing, Your wisdom, and Your ways.
Let my life reflect a heart anchored in You alone. In Jesus name,
Amen.

DEAR GOD: Walking Your Way All The Day~

Beautiful Paths

“Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” — Jeremiah 6:16

The Ancient Path That Leads to Him
by C D SWANSON~

This verse is often overlooked, yet it carries a quiet, powerful invitation. God calls His people to pause, to look around, and to intentionally choose the “old paths”—the timeless, holy ways that lead straight to Him.

These are not outdated roads but sacred ones, marked by obedience, humility, and trust. When everything around us feels noisy or uncertain, the Lord gently points us back to the path He has always blessed. Walking in His way brings clarity, rest, and a deep sense of belonging that only His presence can give.

Closing Prayer

Lord, guide my feet to Your ancient and holy path. Help me recognize the way that leads to You and give me the courage to walk it faithfully. Quiet my heart so I can hear Your direction, and steady my steps so I never wander from Your presence. Lead me into Your rest and into the fullness of Your will. Amen.

My Heart Trusts You Solely~
By C D SWANSON

Loving God and trusting God are not two separate paths — they are one intertwined journey of surrender, devotion, and confidence in His character. When Scripture calls us to trust the Lord with all our heart, it is inviting us into a relationship where fear loosens its grip, self‑reliance fades, and the soul finds its true anchor.

Trusting God is not passive. It is an active, daily choice to place the weight of your life — your hopes, your wounds, your uncertainties, your future — into His hands. It means believing that His wisdom surpasses your understanding, His timing surpasses your impatience, and His love surpasses your fears.

Loving God means drawing near to Him with affection, reverence, and desire. Trusting God means resting in Him with confidence, peace, and surrender. Together, they form a life that is not shaken by circumstances because it is rooted in Someone unshakeable.

There will be days when trusting feels difficult — when the path is unclear, when prayers seem unanswered, when your heart feels fragile. Yet it is in those very moments that God invites you deeper. He does not ask you to understand everything; He asks you to trust Him through everything. He does not demand perfection; He desires your heart. He does not expect you to carry the weight alone; He offers Himself as your strength.

To love God is to trust that He is good. To trust God is to love Him enough to let go. And in that letting go, you discover the peace that only His presence can give.

Where in your life is God inviting you to trust Him more deeply today?

🙏 Closing Prayer

Father, teach my heart to love You more deeply and trust You more fully. When my understanding fails, let Your wisdom guide me. When fear rises, let Your peace settle over me. Draw me into a place of surrender where my confidence rests not in myself, but in Your unfailing love. Strengthen my faith, steady my steps, and help me walk each day with a heart anchored in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Strengthened By Your Word~
C D SWANSON

As a New Year begins, many are filled with promises of what is to come. Some are more than happy to leave the “year behind.”  Perhaps it was a sad year, you had to say goodbye to a loved one. Or something happened unexpectedly that changed your life forever. It only takes a second for a life to be changed.

Maybe some of you had a beautifully blessed year – like an addition to your family, or some of you married, welcomed a first baby!  Some of you were healed from a terminal illness. Some of you saw things for the first time, and perhaps the best of all- Many of you found Jesus Christ and accepted Him as LORD and Savior of your life overall! Amen! and Amen!

Whatever happened last year, or “did not happen” God was with you through it all. Even when it seemed that He didn’t show up. He did. Sometimes He is silent. And that silence can be deafening to those waiting for an answer, or guidance. But sometimes that “silence is His answer.”  He works behind the scenes. He is sorting out all of the details in your life, meticulously, and lovingly. But He is there, nonetheless.

So, as we all welcome in another year – 2026 – we let us give thanks for all things and for seeing another year.

We look forward to serving you humbly and longingly and acquiescing to your will Father God! Stay in His Word – because that is a good place to be. It is our answer to all of life and how to live in this world. It is the reason to be alive, and it is the reason we ARE ALIVE.  Every day in His Word is a good day, because Jesus Christ is the LIVING WORD.

“LORD, as we look to Your Word, we hold fast to the promise of Psalm 46:1: ‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.’ May Your Presence steady every step, calm every fear, and fill this season with Your peace that passes all understanding. Strengthen the heart, guide the path, and let Your mercy shine in every moment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: Your Lamp Lord Is In Each Of Us ~

Lamp of the Lord · Knowing Jesus Ministries

Proverbs 20:27 — “The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.”

This verse is often overlooked, yet it carries profound depth. It tells us that our very spirit — the breath of life within us — is God’s lamp. A lamp does not exist for itself; it shines to reveal, to guide, and to uncover hidden places. In the same way, the Lord uses our spirit to illuminate the deepest corners of our hearts, exposing what is hidden and bringing clarity to what is confused.

In today’s world, where distractions cloud our vision and fear often darkens our path, this verse reminds us that God has placed His searching light within us. We are not left wandering in shadows. His lamp burns in our spirit, guiding us toward truth, convicting us with love, and comforting us with assurance.

To live with this verse inside us is to embrace transparency before God. It means allowing His Spirit to search us, not with condemnation, but with the tender purpose of healing and renewal. When we yield to His lamp, we discover freedom: freedom from hidden burdens, freedom from self-deception, and freedom to walk in the radiant clarity of His presence.

This is not a harsh light but a loving one — a light that reveals so we may be restored, a light that searches so we may be set free. In the Lord, our spirit becomes both a vessel and a witness of His glory, shining into the world with hope and truth.

“LORD, You are the Light that dwells within us. Thank You for placing Your lamp in our spirit, searching us with love and guiding us with truth. May we welcome Your illumination, surrendering every hidden place to Your healing touch. Let our lives shine as reflections of Your glory, bringing hope to others and peace to our own hearts. Keep us faithful to walk in Your light, today and always. In Jesus name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: You Are My Shepherd – I Will Not Want~

Micah 5:4 – “He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth.”

“Shepherd Strength and Secure Living”

This verse from Micah is a profound testimony to the Lord’s goodness. It speaks of God’s strength not as distant power, but as intimate care—the shepherd standing among His flock. The imagery reminds us that security is not found in worldly guarantees, but in the majesty of His name. His greatness is not confined to one place or one people; it reaches to the ends of the earth, assuring us that His care is universal and His promises unshakable.

The testimony here is that God’s Presence is both protective and empowering. Just as a shepherd guides, nourishes, and defends, so the Lord has guided His people through trials and triumphs. To live securely in Him is to rest in the assurance that His strength is sufficient, His majesty is eternal, and His love is unfailing.

How can we allow the Lord’s shepherding strength to shape the way we live securely in Him each day?

Supporting Scripture

John 10:11I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

“Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our Shepherd, for standing among us with strength and majesty. Lord, help us to live securely in Your promises, trusting that Your greatness reaches every corner of our lives. May we rest in Your care, walk in Your guidance, and rejoice in Your unfailing love. Let our testimony be one of gratitude and faith, pointing others to the security found only in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: You Are My Inner & Outer Light~

Premium Photo | God light in heaven symbolizing divine presence

Matthew 5:16 (NLT)
“In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see,

so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

This verse speaks to both inner light and outer light. The inner light is the quiet, steady flame of faith and integrity within you — the sanctuary of your heart where God’s Spirit dwells. The outer light is how that inner flame radiates outward through your actions, kindness, and stewardship. When your inner light is nurtured, your outer light naturally shines, not for self‑glory but to point others toward God’s goodness. It’s a reminder that even small acts of compassion, resourcefulness, or advocacy can ripple outward, illuminating dark places and inspiring hope.

Supportive Scripture

  • Psalm 27:1 (NLT): “The Lord is my light and my salvation — so why should I be afraid?”
  • John 8:12 (NLT): “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

Together, these verses affirm that God is both the source of your inner light and the strength behind your outer light.

Reflective Questions

  • Where do I feel God’s inner light most strongly in my life right now?
  • How can I let that inner light shine outward in practical, loving ways?
  • What fears or doubts dim my light, and how can I surrender them to God?
  • Who in my life might need encouragement from the light I carry?

Prayer

“LORD, thank You for being my light and salvation. Nurture the flame within me so that it shines with clarity, love, and courage. Help me to live in such a way that my actions reflect Your goodness, bringing peace and hope to others. May my inner sanctuary be filled with Your Presence, and may my outer light guide others gently toward You. In Jesus name, Amen.”

DEAR GOD: You Are My Strength For The Heights~

Habakkuk 3:19 - Bible verse - DailyVerses.net

“The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.” — Habakkuk 3:19 (NLT)

Habakkuk lived in a time of turmoil, surrounded by injustice and uncertainty. Yet he closes his prophecy with a declaration of trust: God Himself is his strength. This verse paints a vivid picture—God equips us like a deer, steady and agile, able to climb treacherous heights without stumbling.

It reminds us that faith is not about avoiding difficult terrain, but about being empowered to walk through it. The “heights” symbolize challenges, responsibilities, and spiritual battles that feel overwhelming. Alone, we falter. With God, we are steady.

This obscure verse is a hidden gem—it teaches us that God doesn’t just remove obstacles; He strengthens us to overcome them. Our footing is secure not because the path is easy, but because His presence makes us unshakable.

 Reflective Questions

  • What “heights” in your life feel too steep to climb right now?
  • How has God strengthened you in past seasons when the path was difficult?
  • What would it look like to trust Him fully for surefootedness today?

Supportive Scripture

  • Psalm 18:33 (NLT): “He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.”
  • Isaiah 40:31 (NLT): “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.”
  • 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT): “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”

“LORD, You are my strength and my stability. When the path is steep and the heights feel impossible, make me surefooted in Your presence. Teach me to trust Your guidance, to lean on Your power, and to walk with confidence knowing You will not let me stumble. May my life testify that You are the One who carries me through every climb. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
