The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him –Lamentations 3:25 (ESV )

Waiting on God requires faith, and the ability to trust and listen for “His voice” and direction at any given moment. It is the ability to do what is being “asked” of you, and willingly going forward without question, knowing it is from God and His will for us is always for our good.

It is the ability to recognize that no matter what kindly friends are suggesting and pushing you to do – if it isn’t of God – then it is a “NO” go! Because although friends and family alike are trying to be helpful, and there is nothing wrong with consulting with friends and family. The final decision and choice should be directed by God and His wisdom, His love, His direction and His WILL It’s a no brainer as they say!

If you’re on the brink of a major decision, or even a “small one” go to the source that will provide your answers. The One who never gives up on you, or will abandon you. The One who loves you with the veracity of ten thousand suns, and the One who willingly went to the cross for you!

When you put your faith, trust and heart and soul in the LORD – Your life will change drastically. You will be able to maneuver in all kinds of situations, big small and all the in between.

Brothers and sisters, put your trust and faith in the ONE that matters most!

“LORD-thank You for Your love and direction, for Your Word, Your promises Your willingness to save us for a lifetime in eternity with You, may we do all we can to honor You, obey You, and follow You all the days on earth, and beyond, in Jesus name, Amen.”

A Woman of the Word, A Light to the World

Jennifer Woodley was more than a wife, mother, grandmother, chaplain, daughter, sibling, and friend—she was a Godly woman, radiant with the love of the Lord. Her life was a living testimony to the power of scripture, not merely studied but embodied in every breath, every word, every act of compassion.

Across oceans and time zones, her presence was felt—warm, wise, and unwavering. She was a spiritual mentor whose encouragement reached far beyond her physical reach. Her charm, wit, grace, and vibrance were unmistakable, yet it was her gentle strength and deep faith that made her unforgettable.

📖 A Heart Anchored in the Word

Jennifer’s love for God was the heartbeat of her life. She delighted in the Word—not just reading it, but diving deep, mining its truths, and allowing it to shape her every thought and action. Scripture was her compass, her comfort, and her joy. She often said that the Bible was not just a book—it was her lifeline, her daily bread, her source of wisdom and peace.

She didn’t keep this treasure to herself. As a school chaplain, Jennifer poured out her love for God into the hearts of children. She taught them not only Bible stories, but how to walk with Jesus, how to pray, how to listen for His voice. Her classroom was a sanctuary, her presence a reflection of Christ’s gentleness and joy. Children gravitated toward her because they sensed something holy, something safe, something real.

🤝 A Life of Fellowship and Humility

Jennifer loved fellowshipping about God every chance she got. Whether in church, over tea, or through messages across the ocean, she was always ready to speak of His goodness. Her conversations were rich with scripture, layered with grace, and filled with encouragement. She never sought attention or accolades—she simply wanted to glorify the Lord and uplift others.

Her humility was striking. Though she was wise, articulate, and spiritually mature, she carried herself with a pristine gentleness. She never boasted, never demanded, never judged. She lived with quiet dignity, always pointing others to Jesus rather than herself. Her life was a sermon—unspoken but unmistakable.

🌈 A Crown Well Earned

Even as she faced medical challenges, Jennifer never complained. She bore her suffering with grace, always giving glory to God.

She clung to the promise of Romans 8:18: –“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

And she lived by the hope of 2 Corinthians 4:17: –“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”

Now, Jennifer has received her crown of righteousness, as promised in 2 Timothy 4:7–8: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness…”

🙏 A Prayer of Thanks

“LORD, we thank You for the life of Jennifer Woodley—a woman whose heart- beat in rhythm with Yours. Thank You for the wisdom she shared, the comfort she gave, and the light she carried. We are grateful for her friendship, her mentorship, and her unwavering faith.

Thank You for the children she nurtured, the friends she encouraged, and the Word she lived so beautifully. May her legacy continue to inspire us to live boldly for You. May her crown shine as a testimony to a race well run. And may we, one day, rejoice with her in eternal glory.

Until we meet again, dear Jennifer—rest in the arms of the Savior you loved so deeply. You are missed, cherished, and celebrated, always.

Enjoy the feast with the Lamb – you earned your crown my dear friend – and humble servant of the LORD.

Jennifer, I know you are in the Presence of the One you loved so deeply, reaping the eternal rewards of a life well lived. I am happy and celebrate you going home in glory, but I miss you already.

I will miss our weekly emails that made me laugh and smile so wide. I will miss your wisdom and unparalleled wisdom in the LORD and scripture.

I will miss your encouragement, your compassion and your valued input and insight. Sunday’s will never quite be the same without your email from Australia sitting in my mailbox. But I am so grateful that God gave me such a gift as your friendship for 15 years. I was blessed and honored to have known you. Losing a loved one is hard, and losing such a close friend hurts to the core, but brings me joy, again knowing where you are, and out of pain and in peace. Thank you for being my friend, colleague, and spiritual sister. You were the best of the best.

And now – I bid you a loving and heartfelt adieu my kind sweet friend.

I will never forget you – and WILL see you again.

Trusting God Amidst the Storm

Psalm 56:4 declares a powerful truth—placing our trust in God silences the fear of man. This verse is a proclamation of unwavering faith, a cry of absolute reliance on the Lord despite earthly threats and uncertainties. It is a reminder that no matter how dark this world becomes, no matter how corruption and wickedness seem to prevail, God’s Word is unshaken. The psalmist, David, spoke these words during a time of great distress when he was pursued by enemies who sought his destruction. Yet instead of crumbling in fear, he lifted his eyes to heaven and declared that he would not fear what man could do to him.

The Rotten World We Face

This world is riddled with deceit, greed, violence, and opposition to truth. Nations rage against righteousness, morality is discarded in favor of fleeting pleasures, and those who stand for God’s Word face mockery and persecution. We see injustice thriving, evil being praised, and corruption spreading like disease. The enemy works through systems of power, through ideologies designed to twist truth, through voices that tempt people away from God’s path. Temptations abound, dragging souls into rebellion against their Creator. The flesh, with all its weaknesses, fears, and desires, can easily be swayed in such an environment.

But Psalm 56:4 is a battle cry against fear. The world may be broken, but it does not dictate the fate of those who put their trust in God. No matter how fierce the storm, how hostile the opposition, the Word of the Lord stands firm. His promises remain, and His salvation is unshaken. We are called to cling to His truth, to trust in Him above all else, to fix our eyes on eternity instead of being consumed by the chaos of the present age.

The Eternal Reward

The trials we endure now will fade in the light of eternity. What is fleeting cannot compare to the everlasting. Scripture is clear that suffering for righteousness’ sake is temporary, but the reward for faithfulness is eternal. Paul writes in Romans 8:18, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” This world may threaten, it may strike, it may seek to shake our faith, but those who remain steadfast will receive the crown of life.

Jesus Himself warned that His followers would be persecuted, hated for His name’s sake, yet He promised that their endurance would lead to eternal victory. In Matthew 24:13, He declares, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” The race set before us is difficult, requiring obedience, unwavering trust, and faith that does not waver. But every sacrifice made for Christ will be repaid in eternal joy.

Revelation 21:4 paints a beautiful picture of the future awaiting those who trust in Him: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” The pain, the fear, the trials—they will all be forgotten in the presence of our King. Our obedience now, our faithfulness despite the turmoil, will result in everlasting peace.

What fears have tried to take hold in your heart, and how can you replace them with unwavering trust in God’s Word?

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my refuge in the storm, my unwavering foundation in a chaotic world. I praise Your Word, Your truth that stands eternal, and I trust in You completely. May fear never rule over me, and may my heart always find courage in You. Strengthen me to walk in obedience, to endure through trials, and to fix my gaze on the promises of eternity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May you find peace in His Presence and strength in His promises. Keep running the race with faith, knowing the victory is already won.

Standing on the Promises of God

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. —
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV)

God’s promises are unwavering, rooted in His eternal love and faithfulness. They are not subject to change nor dependent on circumstances, for they are anchored in His perfect nature. Throughout scripture, God reveals His promises to His people—promises of salvation, peace, provision, and eternal life. These promises, fulfilled in Christ, remind us that we are never alone, forsaken, or without hope.

One of the most profound aspects of God’s promises is their reliability. The Bible is filled with accounts of His faithfulness—how He delivered the Israelites from Egypt, how He provided for Elijah in the wilderness, and, most importantly, how He sent His Son to redeem humanity. As believers, we have the assurance that God’s promises are not just words, but truths sealed by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Living as Christians today comes with unique challenges. In a world often hostile to faith, it can be difficult to remain steadfast in our commitment to Christ. However, just as His promises sustained the saints of old, they sustain us now. By immersing ourselves in scripture and holding fast to His Word, we can navigate the complexities of modern life with courage and purpose.

Commentary on Psalm 103:10

Verse: “He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.”

Analysis: Psalm 103 is one of the most beloved psalms, attributed to King David. Verse 10 stands as a testament to the boundless mercy and grace of God. This verse emphasizes God’s forgiveness and His merciful nature. Unlike human justice, which often seeks to measure out punishment equivalent to the wrongdoing, God’s forgiveness transcends our sins. He chooses not to deal with us based on our failures or sins but rather showers us with compassion and mercy.

Biblical Message: The message here is one of grace. While humans often remember and recount each other’s mistakes, holding grudges and seeking retribution, God’s love and mercy operate differently. In the face of our imperfections and transgressions, He offers pardon and does not hold our sins against us. Reflecting on John 11:25, where Jesus declares, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live,” we are invited to delve deeply into the profound truths and promises that lie within His words. His promises which are eternal and have no end. His love which is unsurpassed and His protection that is beyond comprehension. Loving Him and following Him in this temporary resident (earth/flesh bodies) is consequentially the most important aspect of our existence. For to follow Him and align with His truth, Word and His ways, is the building of our future home, which lies in His Kingdom and therefore our “eternal bliss” and rewards fulfilled.

How does the promise of eternal life through Jesus shape the way I live my daily life?
In what ways can I share the hope of resurrection and life with others who might be struggling?

DEAR GOD: You Are Unparalleled & My Everything~

In Isaiah 43:11-12, the Lord declares His unique and unparalleled sovereignty: “I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no Saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore, ye are My witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.”

This powerful proclamation reminds us of God’s exclusive role as our Savior and Redeemer. It is a call to recognize His supreme authority and to bear witness to His mighty works. God’s plan and His Omnipotent Power is for all of those who want to “tap into it” by being a follower and believing in His Word and His ways. Our choices in life should be culminative in the overall process of what where when and how we do things. It should incorporate a greater dependence, or more aptly, a full dependence of the LORD.

As we reflect upon His Word and promises, we grow deeper in our roots, becoming more engrafted with Him each day. Our spiritual walk becomes heightened, and we grow closer to the LORD. In so doing, the enemy flees from us. We have the authority given to us in the name of JESUS to thwart the fiery darts in Jesus’ name.

Engaging in an intimate relationship with the LORD not only helps us in our choices and tasks of life itself, but it invariably will bring peace and joy into our hearts irrespective of what we are facing.

The devastation of the recent hurricane Helene and the aftermath is heartbreaking and surreal. So much pain, suffering and angst. Lives lost, and people incapacitated in functioning, because they’ve lost so much.

May God and His Sovereignty and Omnipotence and great power and glory shine over them now, as He heals their land, and their hearts, and their grieving loss.

May His Word and promises bring hope, light and healing to you all.

I pray this reflection on God’s word, peace and promises will bring you comfort during this horrific and disturbing period in your lives. And may the LORD Jehovah Jireh bring laborers, relief workers, and everything that you need during this time, to piece together your broken hearts, and lives due to Helene.
